We had the pleasure of sharing our vacation with Janet and Jim and they certainly invited us to make it our home for our stay. For a 121 year old home, it is in excellent shape. The rooms are very quaint and comfortable, decorated comfortably (the bed was also comfortable). The hospitality was very above grade and the breakfasts were gourmet every morning! Janet was very accomodating as to the time we needed to be at our destinations and breakfast was accordingly. I was not hungry for lunch at noon! We were in the area for a quilting camp and knowing this, she gave us a discount. Janet put all her lovely dishes to good use - different every morning. She blessed us with a night snack when we arrived home (which was very late). Janet was very helpful in the area attractions and suggestions of where to go and what to see. My husband came along and used her advise and had a ball! We enjoyed our vacation 'at home'.

We had a wonderful weekend at Blessing on Main. Jim and Janet were wonderful hosts and really outdid themselves. Cookies, blessing basket and breakfasts were really special. Our room was very comfortable, enjoyed the claw foot tub and having a large bathroom. It was so relaxing, just what we wanted. We will do it again! We were very blessed!

We just wanted to get away for a weekend. and I found this B&B it was wonderful! Very relaxing, and beautiful. The claw foot tub in our room was very inviting. And the breakfasts were to die for. Lovely and Filling. I will return inthe summer to see the gardens in Clear Lake. Janet was a real help with telling us where things were in and around Clear Lake. It was a Wonderful trip.

It was enjoyable to relax in the front room, wrapped in a soft robe, reading, listening to the sounds of breakfast being prepared in the kitchen, a reminder of childhood days gone by. A hot flax-seed neck pillow, heated in the microwave, soothed my aching neck and virtually eliminated the stress from a tough week. The history of the house and the host/hostess, Jim and Jan, is a testimony to the power of faith, obedience and hard work. The paintings trace a history of former times and keep a living legacy of family alive on the walls of Blessing on Main. The food is both elegant and delicious. We never felt that any part of an offering was done poorly or of scanty proportions. It was delightful to savor the local color of Clear Lake, and the people are friendly and engaging in conversation. We watched wind-surfers on the lake with coffee and hot cookies on a cold and beautiful day, browsed a garage sale and chatted with "locals" in the park. Relaxation and leaving with a sense of well-being were the blessing of the weekend.

We stayed in the Legacy Room over the Labor Day weekend, '08. The Innkeepers were very knowledgable about all weekend festivities, dining facilities and directions. We had never been to the area before. The room was neat and clean, everything we could ask for was already provided, and breakfast was a gourmet feast.

We stayed in the Legacy room and had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was amazing and we felt spoiled. The bed was very comfy, but could have used more space to hang up clothes. The bathroom was very spacious and we loved the antique furniture.

I came to accomplish some goals for the ministry that God is leading me in. I needed a place to retreat and focus. That most certainly happened during my 2 day stay at Blessing. It was very peaceful and a wonderful environment to focus on the tasks I needed to finish. From the privacy of my room to the glorious time sitting on the deck and in the parlor, I was able complete the task. Janet, the owner, is a wonder blessing in herself.
