I was looking for the perfect B&B for a mini-vacation with my mother and I found it. My mother uses a walker, so I booked a room that I had seen on the Internet with easy access and two beds. When we arrived, I was informed that the people who had been staying in that room had extended their stay and it was not available. Before I had a chance to register my disappointment, I was told we were being upgraded at the same price. We were given a charming cottage with a gas fireplace that met our needs perfectly. Not only did we enjoy our cottage, we received the best complimentary breakfast ever at a B&B! Usually it’s coffee and a sweet roll. Imagine my surprise when, after loading up on fruit, cereal, yogurt and juice, I was asked if I would like the eggs, potatoes and sausage. There was also toast and muffins by the toaster with an assortment of jams and jellies. Tea and coffee was available 24/7 as were cookies and brownies. Wine with crackers, cheese and dips is served in the afternoon as well. And did I mention chocolate? The attention of innkeepers Charlie and Diana was even better than the food. They obviously love what they are doing and are committed to making a fine inn even better. While they were very kind and attentive to my mother, this place is not just for seniors. It’s a very romantic getaway for couples. I think the greatest compliment to Charlie and Diana came from my mother as we were leaving. After asking if we could visit again sometime she said, “I don’t feel like I’m leaving an institution, I feel like I’m leaving a home.” View Reviewer Info
