Most people think of staying at a B&B as a romantic get a way. Here is another idea for you. The next time you have a special occasion, book it at The Worth House. Last week end, my sister surprised me on my 60th birthday with a pajama party, for me and eleven of my friends, at Worth House. It was wonderful!!! The owners, Doug and Margi, are fantastic, and they helped make my 60th birthday an occasion I will never forget!! The accomodations, food and service were outstanding. This B&B is so beautiful, cozy and comfortable. Everyone had a wonderful time.

My fiance and I had met Doug at Noni Bacca Winery and learned about their establishment. I had never stayed in a B&B. We had a banquet downtown and decided to make it into a romantic getaway. We're so glad we did! Doug and Margi are wonderful people and made us feel at home. The house is lovely had great amenities. Our room had a turret, fireplace, and whirlpool tub. It was the perfect mix between conversation and privacy. I wasn't expecting a gourmet breakfast either. It was better than anything you can find in a restaurant. We highly recommend checking them out! Oh, and ask to have a taste of their awesome wine as well.

My husband and I visited C.W. Worth House for an overnight getaway. After reading all of the reviews on bedandbreakfast.com, this seemed like the best place -- and it was named Inn of the Month! The hosts, Doug and Margi, were extremely welcoming and their breakfast was delicious. They seemed to really take an interest in each of their guests which was refreshing. If you are there for more than one night, be sure to ask Doug for his famous banana pancake. The rooms were very nice... simple yet extremely comfortable, cozy, and clean! There are sound machines in the room - great addition - and if you choose to you can fall asleep to ocean waves or something else relaxing. There's a refrig on each floor filled with water & sodas, and hot tea, granola bars and snacks are available at all times of the day. Also, C.W. is walking distance to the center of town, restaurants & shopping. We felt at home at C.W. and would definitely go back!

One of the greatest weekends my husband & I have ever had. C.W. Worth House was the best B&B we ever stayed in. We have stayed at B&B's from Niagara on the Lake in Canada, to the Finger Lakes in New York State, Pennsylvania and other parts of North Carolina, and found C.W. Worth to be the best. The innkeepers are great, went out of their way to make everyone's stay the best possible. The atmosphere, breakfast, etc. was all top rate and we will be back soon!

I stay in bland business class hotels on my job, so when I'm not working, I want to stay where there is plenty of character. The C.W. Worth House BB fits that bill to a tee. The size of our Rose Suite room was much larger than expected & hosts Doug & Margi were a pleasure to get to know. We will not hesitate to recommend the C.W. Worth house to our friends & family. The Worth House is one of the most exceptional values in today's society. The staff (husband & wife) are friendly and genuine - eager to help the guests with requests of where is the best place to have dinner to the comfort of sitting with you in the afternoon with a glass of wine and just chatting. Breakfast is served in the dining room however should you wish a cup of coffee before breakfast that too is available. I definately will consider staying at the Worth House on my next visit to Wilmington.

We enjoyed our first experience at a bed and breakfast with Margi and Doug as our hosts. From our arrival to departure, they extended a warm welcome and farewell. We received personal service and assistance with our bags, acquainting us with their home, which also felt like ours during the weekend stay. Attention to detail was noted everywhere we turned. They thought of everything for our spacious room and left nothing to be desired. We woke each morning to welcoming smells of fresh coffee and the entree of the morning. It was enjoyable to meet folks from all over the country and share breakfast together at a beautiful table fit for a king and queen. Margi and Doug know how to cook and present an inviting breakfast with superior table service while others enjoy the feast before them. Despite the rainy weekend we encountered, our stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. Stay with Margi and Doug. It's Worth it!

CW Worth Bed & Breakfast was a step back in time, from the lovely first floor to our room on the 3rd floor. The room was fantastic, with a view. The breakfast in the morning, the local info. on what to see or do for the day was invaluable. The ammenities in the evening, to the front porch to relax and think about what to do the next day. Everything about the CW Worth Bed and Breakfast was wonderful. We will stay again.

Our three day stay at C.W. Worth House was not long enough. Location was great, didn't have to use our car to see the historic places and enjoy the great restaurants. The room was beautiful, comfortable and extremly clean. Margi and Doug made you feel like you belonged in the house and were part of the family. Breakfast was out of this world and the early evening wine was most relaxing especialy if you sipped it sitting on the big beautiful porch looking at the street and the beautiful garden. The gardens were simply paradise. We are definitely going back Carl & Ada Carr

Yes, the home is beautiful, but the hosts attention to detail of any and every thing you might need set this B&B apart from others. It's on a beautiful street, within easy walking distance of the historic sites, restaurants, the riverwalk, etc. The breakfasts are delicious also.

The location was perfect to stroll the fourth Friday art walk, spend time over a glass of wine and enjoy some delicious recipes. Staying for the weekend added a release from the expectations of typical lists of things to do. Would highly recommend taking a vacation in your own town!

My stay at the C.W. Worth House, my first at a B&B in the states, has set an extraordinarily high standard against which I will judge all other B&Bs. I chose the C.W. Worth House almost at random to be the place where I would propose to my girlfriend, and I'm glad I did. Doug and Margi, the gracious proprietors, almost literally bent over backwards to help me ensure that everything went according to plan and the occasion was as special as possible. And even were it not for the special occasion, our visit still would have been excellent. The house itself is stately, elegant, and convenient to both the beach and downtown. The room was spacious, bright, spotlessly clean, and beautifully appointed, and the breakfast was superb. As soon as we left we began discussing plans for returning. Do yourself a favor, stay at the C.W. Worth House.

This was our second stay at the Worth House after spending Christmas there 7 years ago. The location of this historic house is wonderful with great resteraunts and shopping just down the street. The main value for us was the friendliness of Doug and Margi and the personal touches. Wine and snacks in the evening and a great breakfast with new friends to meet. We lived in Wilmington for 10 years but this location and services gave us a whole new perspective on both visits. Our hosts even remembered us from the initial visit 7 years earlier. I lived and worked in Wilmington for about 7 years before I joined the Army, and thought I knew the area front and back, but I did not know about this treasure. Doug and Margi have really outdone themselves on this. I look forward to returning there very soon. -John Towles, Ft. Lewis, Washington
