I found The Barn Inn to be very hospitable. The rooms were very clean, there was a very nice sitting area were you could sit and visit, with the owners or other guest or you could pick out a movie, pop popcorn and sit in your room. The owners are very friendly, I throughly enjoyed the information that was given to us during breakfast, on what there was to see and do in the area. The drive out to the Inn is very interesting, and you see some beautiful countryside. I will definetly stay there again.

We are part of a group consisting of four couples that take an annual trek to Amish country for a mini getaway before the holiday frenzy. We wanted to do something different than the usual hotels and in researching discovered The Barn Inn. What a treat we were in for! Our visit to The Barn Inn exceeded our expectations. Walking through the barn doors took us into a beautiful Great Room, already being decorated for Christmas. Our room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. It was so easy to see why it is rated in the Top 10! Loretta and Paul were gracious hosts. My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary on 10/30 and 10/31/2009. Our Innkeepers apartment was ready when we checked in at 2:30. This apartment does not have a view, but if we wanted pictures, we just had to walk outside. There is a full kitchen and we utilized that for snacks while we watched the World Series after we settled in for the night. Loretta and Paul were both very hospitable and you could tell they pay attention to details. The breakfasts were wonderful! I had the best quiche I've ever had in my life. The sausage is to die for and Paul said he purchases it from a local farmer. Stuffed french toast on Sunday was a great way to start out the day. Loretta and Paul gave a little talk during breakfast about things to do in and around Millersburg and gave us some bakground on the Amish and Mennonites. Very informative. They were very helpful with those who needed directions to various sites. Just found out today as reported in the Cleveland Plain Dealer (11/3/09) that The Red Barn Inn was named one of the country's 10 Best Bed & Breakfasts! CONGRATULATIONS LORETTA AND PAUL! We will definitely come back again to stay at the inn. There is so much to see and do in the area, that it will take more than one trip. Loretta's suggestion to go to the Miller Bakery was a great choice. We bought home a wheat bread that is out of this world. I wish I had bought more and froze them at home! We also went to the Guggisberg Cheese Factory and bought some swiss cheese. Somehow the Amish cheese always tastes better than what you get in the stores at home. Our friends told us about B&Bs but we always took tours and never gave them a thought. We were so pleasantly shocked by the beautiful Red Barn and its owners, Loretta and Paul. The food was excellent and plentiful and Loretta's talks about the community were so helpful in finding the best places to visit in the vicinity. Another thing, she is an acconmplished quilter and I am a retiring one, so we had a lot in common. We met people at the Inn who drove 4 hours just to spend a night because they found it so delightful. That speeks a lot. The location was great, we could take in so many communities and still get back to the Inn without a problem. I will recommend the Inn to anyone I know who is going up that way. The decorations that Loretta put up were so beautiful and tasteful. She is a master at many things, especially making her guests feel at home. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at The Barn Inn. Everything was fantastic! This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and we had decided to try it for my birthday. I am so happy that we did. Loretta & Paul are such gracious hosts and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Their attention to small details shows and it is the reason this place is so delightful. The breakfast was awesome! We especially enjoyed the stuffed raisin bread french toast with blueberry sauce! We definitely hope to stay here again in the future.

Everything was a plus at this inn. The room was very nice. The balconey and the view behind the inn were very nice. We enjoyed a stroll out to the gazebo located in the adjacent woods. This was a value considering how nice everything was. Loretta does a great job as hostess. She had a lot of information about the area, and tips for special places to go. The food was very good. We would stay in this inn again if we ever return to the area.

The Barn Inn's photographs cannot even do it justice! The decorating and attention to detail are phenomenol. The hospitality of the hostess, Loretta, goes above and beyond any bed and breakfast we've ever stayed in. She gives all the guests a great deal of information about the sights and activities in the surrounding area, as well as a history of the Amish people. Also, the quality and quantity of the delicious breakfast buffet is outstanding. Loretta and Paul and their staff have "raised the bar" for Bed and Breakfasts to a new level!

The Barn Inn is a wonderful establishment. The atmosphere is serene. The rooms are clean and comforting. The service and hospitality of Loretta and Paul made us feel like they were old friends of ours that invited us into their home. Loretta's oatmeal pancakes... what can I say, I would have made the 2 hr one way drive just for those pancakes! Our weekend away quickly deteriorated when the the facility that we origionally had reservations at screwed up our arrival date. when we arrived they said there was nothing they could do and that we needed to stay else where. To our pleasure, there had been 2 openings at The Barn Inn for that night and we took them, site unseen. When we arrived, The Barn Inn surpassed our expectations and quickly made us forget about the unfortunate incidents of that morning. Loretta went out of her way to make us feel at home. Truely a great experience. We will definitely be visiting The Barn Inn again!!

The Barn Inn decor is very nice and detailed. Breakfast, snacks and service were excellent. But probably would not stay again, as pillows felt like a lump of staw from a barn, and lighting was poor. Rooms were accessible, but no accessible parking was available, as parking was on another lower level, creating taking stairways to rooms, or many steps to go to front entry. TV did not work in friends room. Chocolate candy in room and departure gift were appreciated.

Despite a persistent rain all weekend long, our trip to Amish country and the Barn Inn was fantastic thanks in large part to our gracious and informative hosts Loretta and Paul. We stayed in the Olde World room, which was very quaint and comfortable - being at the end of the hallway also meant having a neighboring room on just one side. Each morning at breakfast, Loretta shares with the guests her favorite places to go, which include several terrific locations not on the tourist map. Paul and Loretta are a cute couple who enjoy socializing with their guests and have interesting stories to share regarding their connections to the Amish and Mennonite cultures. I could see that Paul and Loretta are detail oriented as I noticed the umbrellas and flyswatters they left on the common balcony for guests who may need these items. Overall, the grounds of The Barn Inn are also quite nice. Breakfast each morning was tasty and included items such as quiche, eggs, toast, hash browns, fruit cup, coffee, OJ, and sausage. We stayed at the Barn Inn with another couple and would highly recommend the Barn Inn for such occasions.

Food was out of this world, especially the Oatmeal pancakes, Paul and Loretta were very accomadating and helpful with any question that we had. Friday night we happened to pick the Barn Inn. We came into the area with no lodging planned. We were in luck they had a room. It was the best decision we had made. I have never stayed at a B & B and my friend had but had mixed feelings. From the time Paul gave us our room key and showed us around to the time we had to leave we were treated like long lost family. Our accomadations were the best ever. THe food was spectacular. We had a beautiful view. There was nothing that could be said or done to improve on our stay. My only regret was we had onlyone night to stay but we have both agreeed that we will be back. My friend felt she knew the area quite well but the extra history lesson/education from Lorettta made it more interesting and gave us the lead on many things she did not know. I have planned vacation just to come there for a few days and that is something because I never take vacation.

When entering the B&B we were greeted warmly, with a smile and wonderful conversation. After signing in we were given a tour of the facility, shown what was available to use for our enjoyment and then taken to our room. We liked the location of The Barn Inn, the privacy and met great people for conversation. Plus the area is so beautiful. From the moment you arrive at The Barn Inn, you'll feel "at home". We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and surroundings here. Loretta and Paul, the Innkeepers, are the most personable and knowlegable people of Amish country. We enjoyed having privacy and the fact that Loretta and Paul were available at all times if needed. You couldn't ask for a better B&B. We thought it was pricey when booking but once we were awarded such wonderful hospitality and their knowledge and history of Amish country, it was well worth the money. We highly recommend staying at this B&B and will do so again ourselves. Have visited Amish country many times and have always been very pleased with the places we have stayed. The Barn Inn raised the bar. Lorreta and Paul offer not just a place to operate from in visiting all the cultural experiences that Amish country offers, they also provide a home away from home. There rooms are all unique and well appointed. The breakfast is a family affair.

We have gone to Barn Inn on several occasions, and each time it is like "goinghome." Loretta Coblentz, the innkeeper, makes you feel like you are a guest in her home rather than a "paying customer" in one of the beatiful rooms. She provides mid-day snacks of sweets and fresh coffee for when you return from shopping - and each morning starts the day with a blessing before the food is served. It is such a fantastic loving environment and starts the day off right each time. She provides interesting tidbits on where to go and what to see in the Amish Countryside - things you may never have thought of on your own. We willl definitely be back again - and again. We stayed at the Barn Inn for the first time. Everything was totally awesome. The Inn is cozy and beautiful in every way. All the services provided were excellent. Breakfast was superb....Loretta is quite the cook. The location of the Inn is secluded, peaceful and relaxing. We will DEFINATELY stay there in the near future.

We had the Memory Lane room and it was outstanding - lots of room, 2-person jacuzzi, private entrance, satellite TV, couch and recliner, etc. Loretta answered numerous questions about the inn and local area prior to our visit and the information & recommendations she provided were extremely helpful. Delicious snacks were provided each evening and there was a wide variety of tasty & plentiful breakfast offerings. Both Paul and Loretta offered interesting insights into the Amish culture each morning during breakfast. The barn itself is very nicely done and it is in a nice quiet area while still being close to many Amish attractions and shopping opportunities. Overall, one of the better B&Bs we have stayed in (and we tend to use them all the time) and we would highly recommend it.

This was our first time to a B&B and it won't be our last. The Innkeepers, Loretta and Paul, were very nice and offered places to visit in the area. We got upgraded to a VIP room to accomodate other visitors. We stayed in the Vintage Rose room and it was absolutely beautiful and clean.The inn is back in the country and away from all the hustle and bustle of tourism traffic. Needless to say it was quiet and relaxing. We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary and are already planning to go back next year. What a beautiful place to go to get away.

When you stay here the owners will give you that feeling on not wanting to leave. You will have total comfort and peace. Your wish is their command. This is about the 10 year of staying there.
