My sister and I recently stayed here on a whim and it was an awesome spur of the moment decision! We stayed off season for the area and fell in love with it all. The attention to details in the rooms was very pleasing! The owners and staff were helpful and very friendly! We took off on a wee tour of our own of the place upon rising in the morning and got to see most of the rooms... They were all very delightful and brought back fond memories of our grandmother. My sister liked it so much that she is trying to convince her oldest daughter to have her wedding there. I hope that happens because I would love to fly up and stay there again!

This was our second year to stay at Terrace Inn after the first I made it our goal to make it an annual event and to stay in a different room every time. It is a beautiful, romantic, peaceful and friendly Inn. We highly recommend it.

We very much enjoy the Terrace Inn. Have been there at least 4 times over the years. We enjoy just walking through the historic neighborhood and then of course shopping in Petoskey. It is very calm and relaxing and we also enjoy eating there. Judi & Rol

The Terrace Inn is within walking distance of many things so the location is great. Our room was clean (somebody's candy wrapper was in the closet?), but there was an inch of open space between the air conditioner and the wall (we placed a towel in the hole to keep out the mosquitos) - the room was a little run down (kleenex stuffed in windows/screens to keep out the mosquitos - some windows wouldn't open). Very little traffic noise, but the walls are very thin (we could hear the guitar in the next room like it was in the same room but it was during the early afternoon so it was fine). Tried to connect to wireless and failed - front desk was having as much trouble as we had. The food was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something laid back and off the beaten track (and you have no need to contact work when away), it is a good place to stay. The outside seating (our favorite thing about our stay) is a wonderful setting for meals.

This was our first time at the Terrace Inn and would definitely stay again. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the whole feel of the place. Have stayed before at the Grand Hotel on Macinac Island and this felt like a mini Grand Hotel with the decorations and the art on display.

We experienced our first stay at the Terrace Inn and it was a impressive experience! The Inn is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very graceous and accomodating. The food in the restaurant was absolutely top-rated, not to mention the elegant, but very comfortable atmosphere. Our room was very quaint and charming and very comfortable. The whole historical area is a must-see with just a short walk to Lake Michigan where there is so much to do! Thanks Patty & Mo! Your Chocolate Iowa Friends

A great place to experience this lovely, unusual, victorian, summer community in the heart of Petoskey. The Inn is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast and staff were delightful. Great value in an otherwise pricey area during peak season. Only drawback is that the Inn has no elevator. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly and plan to stay here again! Les and Chris Homan

Friendly, helpful staff! Planked whitefish dinner is a must! Staff was able to provide anything I asked for, including special orders in the dining room. Great value in a what can be expensive location. Shopping is Petoskey is wonderful too.

I stayed at the Terrace Inn just recently and the location is great! Just about a mile from downtown and the shops there are great! This place has so much character and you feel comfortable just lounging in the lobby by the fireplace with a good book, I know I did! Its calm and quiet and not too far from Boyne Highlands which is perfect because I always hate to stay at Resorts when i take a trip to ski. It always feels so BUSY, but I love to ski so I don't want to be too far away! Its so charming here and the innkeepers and staff will take time to talk to you and make you feel at home. I am definately coming back soon for my next ski trip!

The location is on a hillside in the midst of Victorian homes and is ideal for a scenic walk. The long veranda facing the bay is a relaxing place to sit and visit as is the lobby. I went with 2 woman friends and were pleased with the large bathroom with plenty of counter space. We also had a whirlpool tub. The cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding. I don't know if there is an elevator or rooms on the ground floor so check ahead of time if you can't do stairs. Patty, one of the innkeepers, was nice enough to take a photo of us and e-mail it as we forgot cameras. Jane
