How can you improve upon perfection? You can not, and that is how my husband and I feel about the Queen Anne B&B. We have just returned from a wonderful 5 day stay in the garden room, could not have been more comfortable. The room offers private access to a wrap around porch as can be seen in the photos, perfect for relaxing and reading. The difference I saw in the Queen Anne and other B&B's we have stayed in is "attention to detail", and that is due to the Inn's most gracious host, Mr. Robert Apponey, and Innkeeper-in-training, Jennifer, who has now moved on to run her own inn, the Andrew Morris house, lucky lady! Each morning as you go downstairs to breakfast, you anticipate what marvelous delights could Robert be serving us today, really delicious meals we would not prepare for ourselves at home. By the time you have lingered over your last cup of coffee and return to your room, it has already been "refreshed" for you, complete with bedside chocolates. We want to thank Robert for a wonderful stay, he is one of the nicest people we have ever met. We were able to relax and slow down here, Robert made each morning the beginning of a beautiful day. The word "Innkeeper" should be synonymous with "Caretaker"; the Queen Anne is well cared for as you will be. See you at Christmas, Marsha and David Oates-San Antonio, Texas View Reviewer Info

As the Queen Anne B&B has stood for over a century, our owners paid very close attention to all details when updating the house for the comfort of our guests; maximizing all available space, while maintaining the integrity of the home's history. With five separate guest rooms to choose, there are multiple sizing options for both bedrooms and bathrooms; allowing each valued guest the opportunity to find something suitable to there individual tastes and needs. The Queen Anne Room has three separate bureaus and tables for guest items, including ample space for two traveler's toiletries. Upon notification, our staff members are always willing to quickly fulfill any guest’s request, as exceeding guest expectations is our ultimate goal. We greatly appreciate all guest comments and suggestions, as this helps us maintain a service level our guests have not only come to appreciate but expect when returning to any of our properties.

This was my first B&B, and though I was apprehensive at first, I am very pleased that I decided to try it. The charm and atmosphere of this place was very pleasant, and added an element you just can't get from a hotel. Personally, I am not a morning person, nor do I usually eat breakfast, but I am glad I got to have breakfast here. The food was excellent and the service was spectacular! Robert was a wonderful host during breakfast. I am in my early 30's, and to be honest, I thought B&B's were more for older people, but all the guests were between 30's and 50's. After staying here, I will not hesitate to stay at a B&B again, and if I find myself in Natchitoches again, I would definitely stay here. View Reviewer Info

During our two week trip through Louisiana, we decided to stay at a few B&B's, including the Queen Anne in Natchitoches.
This historical home is truly a state of the art bed and breakfast. Every room we saw had the feel of luxury, yet comfort. We especially enjoyed the Garden Room and all the windows with a view of an enormous oak tree.
The interior of the house is, of course, as shown on this website, beautiful. The grounds are as well maintained as the house. We were fortunate enough to be here when the magnolia and crepe myrtles were blooming.
Breakfast, prepared by Innkeeper Robert, more than met our expectations - southwestern eggs, sour cream grits, biscuits, etc. Scrumptious!
It doesn't make sense to tour a historical town and not stay at a historical site, and Queen Anne is the place to stay.

The Queen Anne is a magnificent Victorian house which is located a short walk from the historic district. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and well-appointed -- except that there were no extra blankets to be found when the night proved to be chillier than expected.
Breakfast consisted of a first course of yogurt and granola parfait and Mystery Juice, with the second course of French toast with nuts, whipped cream and strawberries, sliced bananas, and 3 sausage links. The only flaw was that both the coffee and the food were cold.
We had been looking forward to meeting Charles, the legendary innkeeper, but he has apparently been replaced by Pam, who appeared to be new to the hospitality profession and who seemed to apologize quite a lot. In the future, I think we would be most likely to stay at one of the many other lovely B&B's in the area. View Reviewer Info

At the Queen Anne, we are thankful for the reviews we receive via BedandBreakfast.com; allowing us the opportunity to better create an environment conducive to the enjoyment of all our guests. I want to express my sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused to these guests; resulting from their recent stay with us. After reviewing the concerns, I am hopeful any future guests will understand that the issues aforementioned are not specific to on-going problems related to our Inn. It is true that our rooms do not have individual thermostats. However, both thermostats for the home are centrally located; affording each guests the opportunity to set the temperature at a level best suited for their individual taste. I was very concerned to read that, even though presented beautifully, these guests felt both the coffee and the food were not served at the correct temperature. As it is our greatest priority to provide excellent guest service; along side a product we feel is unmatched within our community, I only ask that we are given the opportunity to correct any issues at that time. It is true Pam has just started within our company as an Innkeeper, but her experience within the Industry gives me insight into how greatly she will prove beneficial to our company as a whole. I remember when I first began on my own; how apprehensive I was, wanting to get everything perfect for our guests. I am sure if made aware of these guests concerns, she would have done everything within her power to correct the aforementioned issues. Please know that I am still an Innkeeper within our company; I have relocated to the Judge Porter House and now act as Manager/Innkeeper for our properties; I will always make myself available to insure our guest’s needs are met or exceeded. In addition, even though an Innkeeper does not live on property, we can be reached 24 hours a day as indicated on both our confirmation letter and within our check in envelope. Thank You… Charles, Manager/Innkeeper

An intoxicating B and B in an intoxicating little town that takes you back in time to the days of plantations and cotton fields and down South elegance. The house itself welcomes you in rooms that have a history. The high ceilings, the ceiling fans, the antiques, the soft lighting, the stained glass window framing the front window, the soft dreamy music playing in the living and dining areas, the crystal chandeliers, the chocolates on the bedside table, the Gilchrist and Soams mineral bath and shampoo, the bay windows, the wicker sitting area on the big southern porch, the breakfast sundae, the sour cream grits, the dirty rice sausage and egg masterpiece...I could go on forever and not cover it all. I have to mention Charles, the host. He knows how to make guests feel welcome and cherished and spoiled rotten. We visited the Queen Anne on the days after Christmas 2008. We wanted to see the Christmas lights without the crowd that comes to Natchitoches during the before Christmas festival. We returned home totally relaxed and in a state of mental intoxication. We chose the Library Room. It was the best room in our opinion ... enormous downstairs room with huge sliding doors and a skeleton key, hardwood floors, lace trimmed royal linens, fine mattress, step stool to climb up on the high bed, bookcases full of books and antiques, a period chase lounge...again I could go on and on. Some people might prefer one of the upstairs rooms because of the double jacuzzi tubs, but the single jacuzzi tub was more to my liking. As life gets back to normal and rat race of teaching school starts all over again, I will close my eyes and remember as I float back to the days of southern splendor in the sleepy little town of Natchitoches and the Queen Anne Bed and Breakfast. My fiancé and I recently spent the weekend at the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast for my birthday. It was, as always, a wonderful experience. The house is a beautiful two-story Victorian home. The rooms are magnificently decorated and provide amenities including: spa lotions and soaps, complimentary wine, water and soft drinks, bedside chocolates, and even makeup remover wipes. They have literally thought of everything! Two-person Jacuzzi tubs further add to the relaxation you will find at the Queen Anne Bed and Breakfast.
The exterior of the home is quite impressive as well, with a wraparound porch and balcony. These balconies have comfortable, wicker furniture for you to relax in as you overlook the manicured gardens and gazebo. Parking is onsite and very convenient to the rooms.
If you happen to have a special request, the innkeeper, Charles, will certainly take care of it. My fiancé asked Charles to help with some extras for my birthday. When I arrived at the Queen Anne, I was surprised with a delicious birthday cake, a bottle of wine and a dozen roses. Charles also prepares the scrumptious breakfasts included with your stay. He will never cease to amaze you with his southern creations that will keep you full until dinner. Now if only we could all have a little Charles in our daily lives!
Natchitoches is perfect for a romantic getaway. Everyone there is always so nice. My fiancé and I celebrate our birthdays at the Queen Anne and truly enjoy visiting with the people of Natchitoches. The historic district with many boutiques is only a short walk away from the bed and breakfast. The plantations are just a short drive away. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just a wonderful time, the Queen Anne is definitely the place for you.
