Richly decorated with antiques and mural paintings. Private (remember the lock box number to let yourselves in). Gracious, interesting hosts.. The candles were lit and we dined on fine china..A true romantic B&B...

This is going to sound like an inside job...and maybe after becoming a new friend to the InnKeepers and staff of Fox Manor that may even be true...but the only term I can come up with in trying to describe our recent 4 night stay at the Inn is....excellence. The decor and amenities are first rate...the ambience of the historic building stimulates the senses...the food goes beyond description because words like good and savory and tasteful and even elegant do not do it justice. The dining service rivals any 5 star hotel or restaurant. But these items are paled when talking about the caring...make that the loving people who own and operate the Inn. Kingsport is a fairly small Tennessee town of about 50,000 folks. We found the people there to be gentle, hard working and kind. The InnKeepers at Fox Manor not only exemplify the characteristics of the general population they amplify them. There is not enough room on this review to fully give a description of the hospitality we were shown...suffice it to say we have found new "family" nestled the hills of Eastern Tennessee in the form of the folks at Fox Manor. Thank you Susan and Walt and Patricia and Carolyn....for everything. JF in Jacksonville

This was our first stay in a B&B. I had heard great things about B&Bs in general. Fox Manor was a terrific first experience. Breakfast, while prepared wonderfully, was not as abundant as I'd imagined. Again, since it was our first time, maybe the portions were typical for a B&B.

I can not say enough about this B&B. The minute we walked thru the door we felt like we were at home. There is so much to see just within the home itself. The only regret we have was that we couldn't stay longer. Patricia, Susan and Walt treat you as a member of their family. I was worried about privacy since this was our first visit in a B&B but there was no need to worry here. You have a beautiful comfortable home to enjoy and all the privacy you need. After searching thru many B&B's online this one I found to be unique as it offers the feel of times past with the beautiful antiques and century old home in combination with a wonderful pub room with a big screen TV. It's old world meets modern convience. If you stay here you MUST try one (or more) of their delicious cookies but their bottomless cookie jar! They even packed us a box for the road to enjoy on our trip back. Everything is thought of for you, down to each little detail.... You don't even have to guess about the weather because the forcast for the days ahead is in a beautiful frame in the back hall. Be prepared to feel pampered and enjoy a relaxing stay! We plan to go back for years to come. As I said, what can I say? This is just a place you need to experience for yourself. Words and pictures do not do this B&B justice!

This was a beautiful place and very well run. Susan and Walt treated me like an old friend. They prepared breakfast for me early so I could get to a soccer game on time. The house is large and quiet with large common areas to gather or be by yourself. A wonderful stay and a much needed rest!

You will feel like you’re still dreaming when you wake up in this beautifully decorated suite, complete with king-size, four-poster bed, fireplace, flat screen television, along with a massive bath and dressing area. The dining room is quite formal, yet lends
itself to intimate and cozy dining before a
glowing fire.

Breakfast is a culinary experience, not just another morning meal.

It all begins with a beautiful table set with candlelight, crystal, silver and different lovely china each day.
Enjoy refreshments in the Great Room’s authentic 300 year-old English Pub Bar.

This wonderful room is furnished with plush
leather sofas, a big screen television, an antique popcorn popper and a 28 foot hand-painted wall mural.

Our guests are always invited to enjoy good
company and conversation in this cozy atmosphere.
Join us for a delicious tea on the Veranda...
This charming room is one of the most requested and features a four poster, queen-sized canopy bed and inviting fireplace. Furnished with cherry 18th century reproduction and accented with antiques, this room should please the most discriminating guest. From the enchanted fairy hiding in the forest scene to the hummingbird hovering over the floral arrangement, this room is delightful. Casey's Room features an antique, Victorian queen-sized bed that you're sure to love as much as we do.
The St. Charles is furnished with 18th century reproduction cherry. The large queen-sized four poster bed welcomes the weary traveler. You can relax by a warm fire on the antique love seat while leafing through one of the many books scattered throughout the Inn.The Cottage is a very cozy residence separate from the main house. It features a private bath with oversized shower, queen-sized bed and a large work desk. Amenities also include: small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, television/dvd/vcr & telephone.

The Cottage is perfect for the extended stay business traveler or a haven for honeymooners.
Perhaps the most masculine of all the Inn's rooms, Austin's Room provides a warm, cozy atmosphere with its antique twin beds, fireplace, and all the modern amenities presented in Victorian style.
