My girlfriend and I decided we needed a quick getaway from the city, and we were lucky enough to stumble upon the Glenwood House. The place is in a great location, with town easily accessible, and the Appalachian Trail just down the road. Andrea, the head honcho, was great, and gave us all the information we needed as far as restaurants and activities. Her daughter Lizzie was kind enough to introduce us to the various family pets, from dogs to chickens. If you need a relaxing weekend, this is the perfect place to go. The drive out there from the city was amazing, Warwick is a great little town with activities ranging from a drive-in theater to antiquing and very nice restaurants. Our room was cozy, with a quaint little fireplace, and the jacuzzi tub was a happy little place to unwind after a long week. I guess what is really important is to say that we will definitely be visiting again!

My family and I have stayed in many BB in the past, but staying at Glenwood House was particularly memorable. Andrea, the innkeeper is a warm, kind, generous person who genuinely cares about her guests. She really made us feel at home and went out of her way to welcome us, especially our three year old daughter who instantly fell in love with Andrea. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable, and clean. The pool was a real treat for all of us, especially during the hot summer months. Our daughter really loved playing with her pets which include dogs, cats, and fish. She even learned how to pet a fish! We will definitely be staying here again and will be referring it to our friends and family. We recommend it highly!

My husband and I just spent a weekend in this charming inn. The innkeeper Andrea couldn't have been more hospitable and so informative. Her breakfasts were superb! The grounds and views magnificent! An added bonus was that we could bring our dog with us. Excellent restaurants in the area. Don't leave Pine Island without a stop at the farm stand for local organic produce.

I cannot say enough about The Glenwood House. My husband and I received a night there as a thoughtful gift from our teen-aged daughter. We live in the area, so had not thought to visit. But, due to the warmth and hospitality of Innkeeper Andrea Colman and her family, we will surely make it our local home-away-from-home for years to come. The accommodations in this storybook Victorian mini-manse were impeccable. From rich, luxurious bedding to the robes waiting in our mammoth master bath, Andrea has attended to every detail one might hope for when planning a romantic weekend in the country. In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the beautifully decorated main dining room and, since it was mid-summer, we were asked if we would like to spend the day beside the in ground pool before heading home. All in all it was a splendid gift that led to a great find. I highly reccommend a stay at The Glenwood House. You will not be disappointed.

My fiancee and I shared a romantic and cozy evening at The Glenwood House. We were effusively greeted by our innkeeper Andrea, who gave us some great ideas for dinner in the area and showed us to our lovely room, The Lord Byron Cottage, with its comfortable four poster bed and mellow mood creating gas fireplace. We enjoyed the stillness of the fall night and woke to a delicious breakfast, prepared by Andrea and served in the sunny and well appointed dining room, which we enjoyed in the company of several other guests who also seemed to be enjoying the Glenwood HOusr experience. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave... but we will be back again!

My girlfriend and I were in serious need of a weekend getaway so we booked a room at the Glenwood House. Andrea was extremely warm and accommodating. She took the time to sit down with us and show us all of the attractions in the area which was very helpful since we didn't have much planned. We stayed in the Harvest Moon Suite was very romantic, a perfect place to nest on a rainy weekend. All in all we had a great weekend and will recommend The Glenwood House to all of friends!

My wife and I just stayed at the Glenwood House B&B for her 30th birthday and really had a spectacular experience. Both with the B&B and the area itself. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the innkeeper Andrea, treated to coffee and cookies and given helpful information on the area, restaurants, activities so we could enjoy the weekend as we wanted. Innkeepers don't get much better than Andrea. She's accomodating, friendly, and the environment she creates is exactly what you want when you choose to stay at a B&B. The food each morning is delicious as well. The house is so comfortable and inviting... with so many places inside and out to relax, read a book. The room was comfortable as well, and well kept. There was a pool, sauna, books, games, movies, so plenty to do at the inn itself. There are a lot of options for things to do around town as well, and much of it is within a 2 to 15 minute drive from the inn. So it was really easy to keep busy, but as soon as you're tired and ready to relax it's easy to get back to the inn. The town is scenic and beautiful. We came across Glenwood basically with a random internet search, and we couldn't have been happier choosing it. We'll definitely go back and recommend it to our friends. Andrea, thanks for a great weekend!

Innkeeper Response
OK, Alan I bet this is you since Sharon was the only one with a 30th birthday this weekend. I have to say I was slightly worried that first night we sat around chatting in the library because you guys were so quite. I thought for sure my babbling was getting to you until Sharon started sharing her 'strange' experiences too! Thank you for the overwhelming review. It makes it all worth it! Keep me posted when the baby arrives. You're welcome to bring her/him with you next time if you didn't know.

Charming rooms--beautiful grounds--excellent service--delicious food. What more could you want? Well, Andrea is delightful and manages all with wit and charm. She sees to everything, but respectc your privacy. The pool is exceptional and, to top it off, it's close to home yet you feel like you've entered another world. Enjoy.

My wife and I were looking for a place to relax comfortably and we found exactly what we wanted. The room was perfect, the setting was quite and lovely, and the pool was wonderful. We spent most of our time sitting poolside with a view of wooded hills. It is not just another house in some ex-urb, but it is like visiting good friends who let you do what you want. Andrea (and her 9-year-old daughter) were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was hearty and tasty (thanks to another daughter's talents).

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Glenwood House. Everything about it was extremely charming, from the beautiful decor to the gorgeous view to the delicious breakfasts. Most charming of all, though, was the innkeeper, Andrea, and her wonderful family. We felt very welcome and comfortable here. We were sorry to leave and would love to go back for a longer visit next time!

OK... so you want to "surprise mom and wife" with a mother's day gift. A card? Some chocolate? Perhaps dinner at some local restaurant? Not this time! I took a chance on the Glenwood House B&B and it was like hitting the lottery! Beautiful and relaxing, Andrea and her family/children are wonderful. Her kids played with our kids, we spent time together laughing like we knew each other for years. What a great experience to take your mother of 73 and your wife (mother of your children) away for an overnight getaway! The house is perfectly decorated boasting both antiques along with modern amenities. Waking up there on Mother's day was great from the start. Andrea had artistically created a "Happy Mother's Day Sign" which welcomed us to breakfast (as she served us all on HER mother's day). Then, Andrea's oldest daughter made us all homemade blueberry pancakes from scratch and even heated up home made maple syrup with pecans. Now THAT was INCREDIBLE! Her son was a gentleman and great host to our 9 and 6 year old boys, and her younger daughter was an excellent frog hunting partner with our children while we all relaxed and watched from the porch. She also gave them both going away gifts....so cute. They even let the kids release homing pigeons as we watched them do tricks. Too cool! The entire experience was perfect, relaxing, and just great. It was like going to a "family B&B" unlike those stuffy B&B's where children are not allowed no matter how mature and good they are. In life there are things that are good and bad. This definitely tips the scale far past good and lands upon Great! I am trying to get my wife to "surprise me" for Father's day for a return visit. Thanks Andrea and family... you guys were wonderful and we are telling all our neighbors and friends.
