The house was really nice, but we stayed in the carriage house and the bathroom was too small, bed was a real neat old 4 poster bed, but we had a very good breakfast in main house.

This B&B was so full of antiques, knickknacks, and books. We enjoyed looking at them all. We took advantage of the free house tour and really enjoyed it. The seclusion and privacy of the Carriage House made for a wonderful weekend.

Retracing the Oregon Trail we opted to stay at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Susan the owner was so very nice to us--giving us precise directions to her establishment over the phone. Her place was very well maintained with fantastic flower gardens. The room she gave us was full of antiques, books, and everything we needed to feel right at home. She even gave us a tour of the main house including attic and basements. If we are ever in this area of the world again we will stay at the Serendipity Bed & Breakfast. Thanks Susan for a Great Stay!!

If you like antiques, then stay here. Doug and Susan are very charming and fun to visit with. We stayed in the carriage house and had the most wonderful weekend we had had in scores of years of marriage to each other. Make sure you get the tour of the whole house from attic to the basement and ask for the old car tour of Independence.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Serendipity B&B, and were thouroughly impressed. Although not terribly excited about the many antiques in the photos, this B&B truly was a pleasant suprise. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Kansas City, and thouroughly enjoyed our visit.
