My husband and I spent one night at this inn and found the accommodations to be very unpleasant. The room we stayed in had one fixed stained glass window and an interior air conditioner that blew cold air on us all night, despite our attempts to adjust the thermostat . Upon check in, the receptionist rattled off information about parking and use of the back door in a robotic monotone that was quite off putting. Minimal continental breakfast was offered in a narrow passageway that was uncomfortable and cramped. We would not recommend this inn to anyone.

I stayed at the Inn at St John while in Porland for business. The value was outstanding. My room was upgraded free of charge. If you are carrying a lot of luggage you need a room downstairs. The room was huge. The wireless worked but did not allow my VPN (secureID) to work. The breakfast on the other hand was not satisfactory. The place is more like a small hotel. It is not too far from area with great restaurants.

My sister and I spent our first night in Maine at this nice little inn; it was a great walk into the downtown area and very convenient from the airport. Our room was comfortable, the staff pleasant and very helpful. I would definitely plan to stay here again - and I would recommend this inn to my friends!

I arrived at almost 1:00 AM (which I had notified them about) and someone was there to check me in a bring my bag up to 3rd floor (no elevator in this cute place). Comfortable room and bed along with nice continental breakfast buffet and a very nice staff all made this a pleasant stay. I will be staying there again and will recommend to friends!

We arrived late and were happily surprised that the B&B had upgraded our room for free! It was a beautiful room and the staff could not be any nicer!! Just a 20 min walk from Downtown Portland, my husband and I loved the walk because the town is amazing! The hotel had juice and cookies all day until 11 at night, YUM! The staff suggested FlatBreadCo. and J's Oyster and by far the best restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. So I guess you are assuming that we loved our stay? And you are right, we will be back here for sure!

From the road this hotel doesn't look like much...but you'll be happily surprised by the inside. Great place to stay, very comfortable rooms, great staff. We stay a night every year on my birthday!

I booked a reservation at this inn because I was in the portland area for business. The room was superb the staff was outstanding. I will definatly stay again rather then in a chain hotel.
