WARNING: This B & B is addictive and you will NEVER be content to stay in a hotel again! John and Ricardo have taken hospitality to a new level and Rocking Horse Manor is the most unique and beautifully restored B & B that we have ever had the pleasure of calling "home" during our extensive travels. Our room, Louise's Country Cottage, was spacious, exsquisitely decorated and deliciously comfortable. The entire house was available for our enjoyment and use with cold drinks, hot coffee and tea and cookies and and snacks available at all times. It was wonderful to rise early, make a cup of coffee and lounge in the beautiful and comfortable living room or library with a good book. Breakfast was a delight each of the four mornings we awakened there and John and Ricardo, quickly, became friends, not just hosts. From the time we arrived to them waving "good-bye" to us from the porch as we drove off, we were made to feel that their home was OUR home. We were in the heart of "Old Louisville" with its many beautiful Victorian homes and interesting restaurants and we walked the neighborhood each evening, rarely feeling the need to get in the car and to drive anywhere for dinner. Two blocks north was the trolley line that provided a 10-15 minute ride to Louisville's dynamic and charming downtown.
