I have traveled all over the world and stayed at many hotels, gasthouses and B&Bs but I've never stayed anywhere that I've enjoyed more than the Vaucluse Inn. Barry and his wife Neil go the extra mile no matter how many times you visit them and as always the food is superb (they have wonderful chefs)! My husband and I go to the Vaucluse several times a year and in Dec I am even throwing a pajama party there for my girlfriends and myself! The Vaucluse Inn is wonderful no matter what time of year you go; its great in the spring, a respite from the heat and humidity in the summer and glorious in December! You will always be pleased staying here!!

Picture perfect would truly be an understatement. I held a large family wedding at the bed and breakfast this fall and I would not changed one thing. Neil and Barry the inn keepers, are fantastic, friendly, accommodating to every request. As a bride I am very grateful for everything, my guests feel in love with the grounds and the ceremony by the water was more than any bride could ask for. The memories made over our wedding weekend will last a lifetime. Thank you.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary at Vaucluse Spring - we stayed at the Mill House Studio overlooking the pond - it was an incredible weekend and the dinner Saturday night was exquisite. We're already making reservations for next year.

My wife and I have been here twice, each time in the Chumley house. Each room has a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. The grounds are adorned with various flowers and fresh herbs that are used to prepare meals. You can relax by the side of the pool on warm days, warm up next to the fire on cold days, or relax in a jacuzzi tub on any day. The Chumley house is an old farm house that has had additions placed on it. The living room is very rustic, with the smell of months-old fires still lingering through late summer. There is a nice screened-in porch where you can sit down and read a good book, or have a few glasses of wine after returning from wine tasting in the Shenandoah Valley. Or, you can sit down by the natural spring and just enjoy the tranquility. We stayed in the Zane room during our second stay. This room has an excellent view with a private entrance. All of the meals were excellent. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
