WOW WOW WOW!!! It has been many years since I have stayed in a B&B, and all I can say is Ruth & Larry GET IT! My daughter and I chose to stay here after learning that hotels were booked in Omaha & Lincoln. Lincoln is mid-point for our drive from Denver to Chicago (moving my daughter home from college). My daughter thought it ridiculous to stop on a 16 hour drive, but quickly changed her mind when we walked through the doors into a welcoming, smiling face named Larry. He took us on a quick tour of the home, told us about the history, and THEN the fun began. Unlimited access to homemade goodies, popcorn, water, soda, candy. My 19 year old turned 5 all over again. FREE wireless internet access in the home. Ruth & Mimi (their adorable dog), quickly won our hearts as well. It took us minutes to fall in love with this magical home full of warmth and hosptiality. The room had special touches of fresh long-stemmed roses, bathroom amenities you would NOT find in a 5-star hotel, and I could go on & on. Value? Amazing value. The following morning we waddled out of the inn after dining in their lovely garden room with a 3-course breakfast. All artfully presented to us, and delectably delicious! Larry took great pride in how the food was presented. Fresh cut flowers in our napkins and on the table. What can I say? It's a magical place to experience and we have decided it MUST be an annual tradition for our long trek between Denver & Chicago.

My husband and I have been making yearly visits to The Atwood House for the past ten years. We live in Omaha, so its a short drive, but once we arrive, it might as well be a million miles away, as we are completely transformed by the magnificent surroundings and spectacular service. We have stayed in both the Atwood Suite and the Carriage House, and usually alternate between these two...each has their own special charm, and we thoroughly enjoy them both. Larry and Ruth are warm, gracious hosts, and Larry's breakfasts are beyond description in their impressive presentation, attention to detail and magnificent taste! Larry keeps track of what he serves us each time we visit, so we don't get served a breakfast we've had in a previous visit, although we wouldn't mind! The attention to detail, from the care they take in decorating each suite individually for the Christmas season, to the luxurious bed linens provided, to the never ending freshly baked treats always available in the kitchen (no matter what the hour), to the expansive DVD library where we can always catch up watching new release movies...I could go on and on. Obviously, Ruth and Larry have created the ultimate getaway for couples needing to reconnect, travelers needing some pampering, families wanting to make special memories, or just anyone that needs some rest and rejuvenation. I highly recommend a stay at The Atwood House. You are worth it!

I can't express into words how we feel when we gt the chance to "stop and smell the roses". Larry & Ruth are so wonderful, gracious. The house is done in Victorian style, which is pure Heaven to me. We are absolutely going back again. The amenities and ambiance were exquisite.

The Atwood Bed and Breakfast is the best place we ever stay at. There home is beautiful. The Atwood suite was lovely, breakfast was great eating on fine china and drinking from crystal glasses. They have lots of snack-cakes, popcorn, chips, candy, and juice to enjoy 24/7. If you forgot to pack any thing, they have tons of amenities for you to use and enjoy. We had fresh roses in our room with a box of candy. Larry and Ruth take such pride in their bed and breakfast and it shows. They make you feel very comfortable and relax in their home. They are down to earth, nice kind people. They have set the bar high for bed and breakfasts. If we ever travel back to Lincoln, we will stay there again. This was our 6th or 7th visit to Atwood. Always cheerful -- room decor always outstanding. One gets spoiled by the outstanding dining. To us there is no place else to go but Atwood House in Lincoln!

We've stayed at the Atwood House several times and always find it to be outstanding. Larry and Ruth are gracious hosts; the rooms are beautiful and filled with special touches; and the breakfasts are creative and delicious.

The home and rooms were remarkable. The breakfast was breakfast was presented to us like a 5 star hotel. Our stay was so relaxing, it was hard to leave. If you really want to step back in time, this is the place to do it.

The suite was amazing. There were fresh roses and a box of Godiva chocolates. The breakfast was three course and delicious. The innkeeper were very hospitable. I would recommend this place to any couple who wants a romantic getaway.
