If you crave coziness, privacy and rugged beauty, there is no place better. The deer were out in the front yard every morning, eating from the apple trees. And the crisp weather was offset by the wonderful wood fireplace and the most comfortable bed I have ever been in. The two breakfasts we had were gourmet. Jo and Fred could not have been nicer. Jo got us into the best restaurant and was an endless resource of information. By the way, if you are hesitating about the distance from Mendocino, don't. It's 5 minutes. It's clear Jo and Fred loves their inn, and now we do too. It does not get any better than this. Ed & Karen Elbert

Most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in with more than enough fluffy pillows. Warm and inviting rooms, each with its own personality. Jo and Fred know the best places to eat and it starts with the breakfast that is served in your room. That means breakfast in bed if you prefer. They cater to our special diets using only the freshest ingredients. We always feel that we have been welcomed into their home when we stay at the Inn. We have never been disappointed, no matter which room we stay in or what time of year we choose to visit. It is a great place to relax and recover after the rigors of high paced living. I have chosen this inn as my favorite retreat. Fred is the master of setting up the fireplaces so that they light with one match. He gives us extra wood so we can enjoy a fire in the morning with breakfast before we head out.
