I had never been to Cape May and wanted to find a nice relaxing Bed & Breakfast to unwind. The Mission Inn more than exceeded my expectations! Even though the weather was not ideal during our stay, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. The Mission Inn is a welcome and refreshing option to Cape May's Victorian B&B's. We have stayed at a number of them but since we first stayed at the Mission Inn a few years ago, we are "hooked". The innkeepers, Raymond and Susan, can't do enough for you, as well as their small yet attentive staff. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and quiet, and the Inn itself is a perfect place to find a relaxing spot to "nest". It's like a home away from home. It was not only the peaceful setting of this California themed B&B that made our visit special, but it really was all the attention to details and the personal touches that the innkeeper, Susan, provided that made this visit go above and beyond any other B&B I've ever visited. One of the best things about this Bed & Breakfast is the very unique and beautiful decor of the rooms. The gorgeous spanish-style detail adds such a special feeling to each location of the house. We were so welcomed and treated with utmost kindness. Susan goes out of her way to make everyone feel at home. Leslie made the most incredible breakfasts and there were so many juice choices! After returning from the beach we were greeted by Janet and served afternoon beverages and hors'doeuvres that were so enjoyable as well as talking with the different couples saying there! The amenities could not be any better. We stayed in the San Francisco de Asis and just loved this beautiful room. This was a special treat to celebrate my husband's birthday and he just loved it. We are bicycle riders and loved being away from all the crouds of people where all other Bed and Breakfasts are generally located. This is only one block to the beach. My husband and I try to get away once a year, just for some alone time. Having four kids ages 5-18 doesn't leave much time for that at home. Ray and Susan are wonderful. They make you feel like family and old friends all at the same time. We have been to the Inn twice and we can't wait to return. Their hospitality is top notch, their staff is wonderful and gracious. 5-years ago my wife and I stayed at the Mission Inn at Cape May, NJ. We both left being totally impressed. Good firends of ours asked for a recommendation and we recommended the Mission. Asked if we and another couple would like to go along. Well it is hard to believe that you could improve on perfection, but that was the case with the Mission. When we returned home we sat around discussing the weekend trip and everyone felt exactly the same way - it was awesome! Susan and Ray, the Inn owners are just great. The Mission Inn is the place to stay in Cape May. My wife and I "got away" at the Mission Inn in Cape May during the last week in April. You would never know that it was midweek or preseason. There was not a single detail missed. Susan was fantastic! Her establishment was impeccable. It is a clean, well done Mexican themed mini resort. No amenity was missed. A classy environment complete with multiple fire places, up to date electronics, nice homey rooms, and wonderful bathrooms and showers. Hors d'oeuvres, wine, port, cookies, fruit... You name it. They didn’t miss a beat. We were greeted on arrival as if Susan had known us for years and we were old friends. A full tour was given so that instant comfort was established. We were shown to our room, which was fantastic. We freshened up in their one of a kind state of the art dual head showers. We then stepped out to a delicious dinner at Peter Shields Inn up the road. Stopped by a club for a drink then headed back to our room for a night cap and a movie. We wrapped up our evening with some good sleep on a firm comfortable king size bed with a nice ocean breeze though the multiple windows. Woke up in the morning and came down to hot coffee, ice cold juice, a newspaper and a fantastic 3 course authentic Mexican breakfast, followed up with some great conversation. I will return to The Mission Inn in the future and I would not hesitate a firm recommendation to anyone I know. I was very impressed. 5 Star

The Mission Inn is wonderful! I went with my boyfriend for his birthday and we had a great time. The inn is beautiful, and Susan and Ray are fantastic, warm, and caring people. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere; they clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making this inn so fabulous. We stayed in the San Juan Bautista room which was beautiful. Susan and Ray thought of everything you could possibly want in a room-large TV in both the main room and bathroom, fireplace, chocolates by the bed, wine glasses next to the huge jet-air tub, little flower petels in the tub, and bath salts and gel on the side. Everything was so luxurious!! We really felt pampered! In terms of the food-it was delicious! In the afternoon they had some yummy snacks including corn dip, crackers, artichoke dip, vegetables, chocolate covered strawberries, homemade cookies, wine, and iced-tea. It was a nice time for us to relax and get to the know the other guests a little bit. Everyone was so friendly that it was easy to feel at home. For breakfast we started off with a variety of fresh fruit, which was great. Then we got a ham and cheese panini with pesto-asparagus on the side. A banana-chocolate muffin completed the meal-delicious! Susan and Ray were so thoughtful; they knew that we were there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, so they put a candle in his cupcake as a special touch! We loved the Mission Inn and would strongly recommend it for anyone who would like a nice, relaxing, and luxurious time away from home. We'd definitely stay there again!

The Mission Inn offered us our romantic weekend. The owners Sue and Ryan were warm, inviting and the inn had all the comforts of home. Gourmet hordoerves were served in the afternoon accompanied by teas, coffee and wine. Our room was large, comfortable and clean as whistle. The gourmet breakfast was outstanding. We also enjoyed riding bikes to the lighthouse, visting the local shops, long walks to watch the sunset and dinner at the many outstanding restaurants. The Mission Inn innkeepers were warm and gracious folks. Great detail went in to decorating each guest room and common area and it is truly a pleasure to experience the artistry and beauty of the Inn. Our one discomfort was when our "neighbors" were using their whirlpool tub at all hours of the night--unfortunately the walls are thin and each time their tub was turned on our whole room rumbled from the powerful sound. Otherwise, we were genuinely pleased by the very clean and comfortable rooms--bed size and comfort, linens, bathroom accommodations, toiletries, outdoor views, natural lighting, storage, and warm atmosphere of the spacious common areas. We also were completely relaxed while reading and snacking in those common areas, too. Often it's easy to stay only in your individual room, but at the Mission Inn the comforts truly extend to every room in the house.
