We made an unexpected trip to Santa Barbara to bring Christmas to our son. Fortunately we found the Eagle Inn online and for an excellent rate two nights before Christmas. Much to our delight, not only was there an beautiful jacuzzi tub (although some texture in the tiles could prevent slipping; we had to be very careful when getting out), a fabulous double headed shower, an extremely comfortable bed, very attentive and friendly service ....... but there was a gas fireplace with easy chairs so we could hang his stocking by the fire (even 23 year olds like that!) and enjoy a lovely evening together in a home away from home. We even heard the soft sound of the Amtrak whistle to bring back fond memories of train trips. The only hiccup in this perfect stay was uneven wi fi connection . Our connection temporarily improved when the front desk person knew where the router was and how to reboot it - impressive. We highly recommend the Eagle Inn.

My room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very nice, updated and the shower was large with two controls and shower heads. It was a good thing that the room had a fan and two windows by the bed, since the central heater was on and it made the room stuffy. The breakfast in the morning is basic continental and the room is small.

My boyfriend and I booked 6 nights at The Eagle Inn in Santa Barbara. We went for his birthday. The San Miguel Cottage was exquisite. It had a plush king size bed with a whirlpool tub, separate kitchenette (which also doubled as our bicycle garage) and huge shower with dual shower heads. It is in a fantastic location. Very quiet, off the main street, but only a block or two to the beach, harbor and pier. The continental breakfast was just ok. On a few days, the bagels seemed a little stale. Also, on two occasions, we had to wait over 10 minutes for someone at the front desk to help us because there was only one person on duty, and they were helping potential guests with their reservations. But once they started helping us, we had their undivided attention. I would highly recommend this B&B if you want a quiet place to stay, but close enough to walk or ride your bike just about anywhere.

We stayed in the Santa Rosa Cottage for an early Birthday celebration for both me and my friend. We were greeted by a lovely lady Nancy, who went out of her way to make sure our visit to The Eagle Inn was an enjoyable one. She was in the process of placing a welcome basket in our room along with a bottle of chilled champange, this was included in our special Rub-A-Dub-Dub package. Also included in our package was the preparation of our room, which I was not sure what that meant. It means they place rose petals around and in the whirlpool tub, place the champange and crystal glasses, turn back the bed. It was very romantic! It was a birthday celebration that neither one of us will forget. Also as a side note, the location of the Inn is great if you do not have a car, you really don't need one, you can walk everywhere. We can't wait to visit again.

This inn was such a surprise. The room was lovely, with elegant linens and towels and our favorite brand of toiletries. It was very clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was also an easy walk to the beautiful beach!

Stayed one night and they graciously gave us an upgrade from a queen to a king bed. Service was very helpful. The location you could not beat! It was one block away from the ocean and within walking distance to state street and the pier. Would highly recommend to my friends.

We had a chance to stay here for 1 night this past September while driving the coast up through California. What a fantastic little inn...so glad we booked it here...it is a hidden gem. We had booked a Deluxe King but when we checked in, we were delighted to find out we had been upgraded to a Superior King with a whirlpool (thanks Paul!!!). We were thrilled as we were 3 days into our fast paced trip and jet lag/no sleep had set in. Well....more surprises awaited us. When we opened our eyes we could not believe what the staff had done for us....there were rose petals scattered all around the whirlpool tub and a bottle of champagne with 2 glasses on ice waiting for us....how did they know this was just what the doc had ordered....LOL Needless to say, touring Santa Barbara was put on the back burners. It was a fantastic set-up for our 25th wedding anniversary....thanks to all the wonderful staff who helped. The room was also fantastic...2 tv's (hubby was in heaven), sitting area, king size bed, great bathroom with a nice size shower with all the ameneties. The room itself was big and roomy with lots of place to sprall out our 4 large pieces of luggage. French doors looked out over the pristine residential area with shade trees and gardens. And it was so clean....very impressed The location was perfect. We walked to the harbor for dinner....7 minutes (maybe). And of course the beach was about the same. I would say it was about a 10/15 minute walk to the wharf area although we did not walk it. Breakfast the next day was very good and they had a computer with printer that we took advantage of to print out some info on SB. All in all, Eagle Inn was fantastic. If you are looking for a clean charming inn close to everything this is the place to stay....you will not be sorry!!

A very nice little B&B that is 95% on the mark. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the staff is fantastic. Some minor things need improvement; the window air conditioners are out of place in such elegance and are loud. Parking is good but limited if you are the last one in for the night.

We stayed at the Eagle Inn at the last minute with no reservation. The pictures on the web page seem outdated. The room was clean and average. The bathroom, however, was large and very nice (double shower, all tile, great bath products). The room was on the small size but we very inexpensive so I did not care. One thing to note- there is NO air conditioning in many of the rooms but there are ceiling fans and the windows open wide. The hotel is within walking distance to both the beach and the shops. It is in a very quite neighborhood and is beautiful from the outside.

My husband and I went up for a weekend getaway. The inn was very much like a moderate hotel with similar design and ammenities. Their continental breakfast was simple but tasty. The location is a short walk to the beach and all shopping on State street. The one area to be improved would have been the front desk staff. When we arrived they were confused on what room we were supposed to be in and where our reservations were. Fortunately, I had printed our confirmation from BedandBreakfast.com.
