The Inn is located in a convenient spot, with good proximity to the Killington area. The road that leads to the Inn is also a very scenic walk, right to its end. Food quality and service were very good with ample portions and reasonable wine costs. Nice touches included the cider/cookies offered daily, as well as the small container of maple syrup upon checkout. You would need a shoe-horn to move about their smaller rooms, so bear that in mind when booking. We would recommend to anyone traveling in this scenic area of the state. Avoids the congestion of the Woodstock area.

It Jennier's Mom has made the granola please try some it is delicious. Jennifer and Mittchel and the girls are lovely people. They know how to entertain and take care of their friends, I say friends because after one stay at the Vermont Inn that will how you feel about them.

My husband and I stayed two nights in Room 9. Everything about the inn was perfect. Our room was spacious and well decorated while reasonable in price The whole Inn was well decorated, clean, and neat. The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding. We didn't have time to enjoy most of the amenities but will return with the kids. I think they'll love it just as much.

My wife and I spent the past weekend here and loved it! It is in an excellent location, surrounded by some beautiful hiking trails, and you can see Pico from the front lawn! The innkeepers are incredibly friendly and helpful, and though we didn't get the chance to have dinner there, the breakfasts were outstanding! The inn itself is beautiful inside and out, and though it has a cozy country feel, it also has the amenities and modern conveniences of a 5-star hotel. We will definitely be going back!

My husband and I just came back from a great weekend at our favorite place - the Vermont Inn. We have stayed there before and always find the atmosphere charming and inviting. Our room was comfortable and quiet which was just what we were looking for. Jennifer helped us figure out the Killington online reservation system when we booked our room so our lift tickets were waiting for us when we hit the slopes. We used the meal plan which offers great value and exceptional dining. I recommend the lamb chops and the vermont stuffed veal. The wine list is varied and our waitress was helpful in making a selection to complement our meal. The chef is amazing and the portions are plentiful. Mitch and Jennifer are friendly hosts who remembered us from a previous stay. We love the closeness to Killington when we ski but this place is perfect for any season.

We went back to the Vermont Inn for the second straight year and will likely be back again next year, if not sooner. The location is great -- 11 minutes from Killington. Food at the in-house restaurant is both excellent and reasonably priced. We ate there 3 straight nights and would gladly go back again. Several of the rooms have a jacuzzi which is indispensable after a long day of skiing. The Inn is very charming and retains interesting architectural features going back to its 1840 construction. I've been going to Vermont with my kids skiing for 6 years and the Vermont Inn is my absolute first choice among inns there.

My fiance and I stayed here for two nights just after Christmas, and it was exactly what we wanted and more. It was quiet, relaxing, and in a great location, close to Killington for skiing, hiking, and the Longtrail brewery, if you are into beers. Our room was incredibly spacious and welcoming. The food was my favorite part. The breakfasts consisted of everything anyone could possibly want to start their day, and the 4-course dinner was absolutely amazing. The staff is friendly and professional, and they go out of their way to make sure your experience is a great one. Growing up in New England, I have visited Vermont countless times, and my experiences at this Inn has made my last journey north, my favorite. I highly recommend The Vermont Inn to others, and plan on staying again myself.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Vermont Inn. My husband had never been to a country inn before and found it to be a great change of pace from a usual hotel stay. Our room (B) was immaculately clean with a cozy fireplace. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. We also really liked the bar. Innkeepers Jennifer and Mitchell were very attentive and helpful with making a restaurant reservation plus providing information on area activities. Below is a copy of a note that I sent to the inn keepers, Jennifer and Mitchell, after our recent stay: I'm writing to let you know how much we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your Inn. Your hospitality and wonderful breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning. Also, as we drove back home, we were recounting all the things we liked, from the relaxing fireplace in our room to the screened porch. In fact, one of our favorite memories is our first night at the Inn, when we enjoyed a drink in the tavern room and got to know you both, as well as doing some sharing of our own and letting you know us Thanks again! We look forward to a return trip!

The Vermont Inn is a wonderful place to go for a weekend get away. However, make sure you bring your fitness gear because their restaurant is outstanding and you will be eating like royalty! Their food is to die for and their chef is magnificent! The owners, Mitch & Jen, did everything to make our stay terrific. They run a beautiful, charming Inn and every expectation was exceeded. Their rooms are great-you can spoil yourself with their suites with jacuzzi's or fireplaces, or just go the simpler route with a smaller room. Either way, you cannot go wrong staying here. I have stayed at The Vermont Inn twice, once on vacation and once on a business trip. Both times the food and service were excellent, and the room quaint and inviting. Jennifer and Mitchell are very friendly. There are a lot of interesting shops and nice hikes in the area. On the vacation trip Jennifer gave me lots of tips on places to visit, and we took a nice hike in the Quechee Gorge. On the business trip I took a quick hike up the little road behind the inn. The food is really outstanding and Mitchell is a great bartender. I'm thinking it would be a great place to bring the extended family for a skiing or summer vacation.

My wife and I have been coming to The Vermont Inn for the past ten years, usually for at least a week or more each time. During each vacation period in the Killington/Mendon area, the attentive innkeepers have gone out of their way to suggest opportunities for our participation in the area and have assisted in the arrangements for many interesting activities. In the winter and spring months some of the activities are hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. In the summer months, there is a lot of interest in mountain biking. Rooms in the Inn are attractively furnished and maintained by a very competent staff. A full breakfast and candlelight dinner from an extensive menu and outstanding wine list are served daily in the nineteenth century dining room by a gracious staff. The Vermont Inn is very comfortable and has the ambience of a restored inn, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. Our vacation stays have become most memorable occasions for us. It is an outstanding setting for a wonderful holiday.

This is the favorite room of the inn - many come several times a year. The view is fabulous. Our lounge with woodburning stove has tremendous views, a handmade cherry bar and beautiful anitque couches. The perfect spot before or after dinner.
Screened porch for the summer and fall season. Views, quiet, and a great spot for morning cofee with the newspaper. The is a queen suite fireplace with a trundle bed so it easily sleeps 4 or 5 but is lovely for 2 people.
Cozy, romatic room 7. Another favorite!Relax in our living room. Every afternoon we serve hot cider and cookies in the winter and light a cozy fire. In the summer we serve lemonade most people go to the porch or out by the pool!
Chef Stephen Hatch has been delighting guest with his New England Cuisine since 1987. The views, fieldstone fireplace, and candleligt are the perfect compliment to his fine food. Everything is homemade including the bread and desserts.
King Suite Whirlpool Tub
Room B is a lovely corner unit with wonderful mountain views and a loveseat facing a gas fireplace.
