Williamsburg Sampler was a wonderful experience. When I entered I wanted to say WOW. The interior was so beautifully done in colonial period furnishing and appointments. Staying at a home that depicted the area was a very special reward. The host was so gracious and hospitable.

Our stay at the Williamsburg Sampler was the icing on the cake for a wonderful 11th anniversary trip to Colonial Williamsburg. The B&B itself was beautifully decorated and cared for by its owner and the personal items such as photos and family mementos added a sense of home to the atmosphere that is often lost in some more commercial establishments. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the house which included the basement game room. We were shown to our room which was again beautifully decorated. The king size bed was very comfortable and the massage jets in the shower were a nice touch. Breakfast each morning was very well prepared and conversation with Ike and the other guest again set the like home feel. The Sampler’s proximity to Colonial Williamsburg was very nice although being from the deep south, the walk would have been a bit cold for us. We did find parking however not a problem either at the B&B or in Colonial Williamsburg. We had Reservations one night for the Regency Room which was absolutely amazing but under Ike’s recommendations we ate at The Trellis Restaurant and at the 2nd Street restaurant. Ike’s direction as to what to see and eat was right on the mark and we were never steered wrong. This is a beautiful part of the country and the Williamsburg Sampler is placed in a perfect location for sight seeing or visiting William and Mary College. Whether you are visiting Williamsburg, Jamestowne, or Yorktowne, you cannot go wrong with the Williamsburg Sampler.

Your trip to Williamsburg is not complete without a stay at a King's suite in this B&B. The inn keeper, Ike, makes the perfect breakfast fit for a king. You will awake to a unique and mouth watering scent each morning. Make acquaintances around the breakfast table served with period ware. Walking distance to Historic Willaimsburg; a slow walk is about 20 min. The inn keeper is well versed on all attractions. This inn is filled with historic antiques and curios including an original pump organ, canon, and a grammaphone. The King suits have a romantic balcony for star gazing and/or night time wine sipping. Quaint and quiet historic atmosphere; food market about 1.5 miles away; use your TomTom. Do yourself a favour and stay for a while; you need at least three days to feel the character of this house. My wife and I love this house! There is one warning, once you stay at the Williamsburg Sampler B&B, you will forever see all other hotel rooms as "blah". Prepare to be spoiled.

We were at the Sampler in July but never thought of writing a review. We noted lots of nice comments and we wanted to add a belated one also. The house is friendly to our needs and located close to historic Colonial Williamsburg. Breakfast each morning was in a lovely decorated dining room. Our accommodation was a Suite with a wonderful carved bed and furnishings. The Innkeeper was knowledgable as to dining facilities and earpointed locations to be sure to see. We have recommended it to friends with some visiting already. All agreed that to a very nice visit. We have visited other B&B's under this website quality accommodation listings and am totally please.

The Williamsburg Sampler is a true Bed and Breakfast. Ike the innkeeper is so pleasant to be around. The house is filled with wonderful treasures from around the world. Ike is a very good story teller and loves sharing his travel stories. The Williamsburg Sampler is a family run bed and breakfast, on Saturday morning Ike's daughter Laura prepared our breakfast. We stayed in the King William Suite, which included a King Size Bed, Fireplace, Wet Bar, Sitting Room and Balcony.

My husband and I felt thrilled to be staying at this inn. We enjoyed Colonial Williamsburg and when we returned to rest (in a king size bed) this placed made us feel at home. There was a lot to do at this Inn, use the gym and relax in a sauna or enjoy the 60" TV or play billiards. The Innkeeper helped us with pointed information of where to eat and what to see. The breakfast served was above and beyond what we have had at B&B's in other areas. It was just the most enjoyable place. Oh yes, of course we have to return. :-)
