My daughter & I came back here for a Mother-Daughter weekend because we enjoyed it so much last time, only we found that they'd made several upgrades and modifications since last time, and it was awesome! From the warm, friendly (yet not intrusive) hosts, to the pleasant and comfortable room, to the wide variety for food and the ability to fix and eat it in your own time choice, it was a very enjoyable weekend, and we're hoping to be back for a Grandmother-Mother-Daughter weekend next year!

We had our own cozy room which was decorated so nicely. We asked the lady if she had had a decorator and to our surprise, she had painted it and decorated it all by herself. A jack of all trades that woman is. We stayed there, my husband and I, while traveling through Glen Rose. We are so glad we decided to go there. The host were sooooo nice :D Thanks again for letting us stay!!

I just spent two relaxing nights in the Cajen Cowboy Room. It have everything I needed for a home away from home. I travel all over the country and it was so nice getting personalized attention from Morris and Susan Bussey. I spent time reading by the pond and sitting out on the new porch just relaxing enjoying the beautiful view of lush greenery. It a great location within easy walking distance to the square which offered some cute downhome dining experiences. I can't wait to bring my grandkids with me next time. For a unquire fun personalized experience, I would definately recommend Bussey's Something Special.

We stayed in the Cajun Cowboy room. It had everything we needed! Even a few supplies we forgot! I loved the country music left in the room. The old westerns were great too! There are supplies to make your own breakfast, but we did not use any of them. The room also comes with a well stocked fridge. The room was cool and dark and we slept great! The bed was comfortable. The Busseys are awesome hosts! We would not stay anywhere else! It's like staying with family. We sat outside in the garden and enjoyed the fish ponds. It's a great place to relax! The Busseys also recommended great places to eat: Turn & Burn and the Riverhouse Grill (which is across the street!). Bussey's Something Special is very close to the square. We were easily able to walk down to the square and visit the shops.

We had 2 nights in the Cajun room, and looked around the Victorian one as well. Both are wonderful, filled with curiosities from the past West. Susan and Morris Bussey were very friendly, hospitable and helpful in looking for dinosaur tracks locally. We would definitely stay again. Trevor and Chris Watts, England.

Bussey's Something Special is VERY SPECIAL! My husband and I unexpectedly stayed in Glenrose, TX overnight. We needed provisions and were going to have to make a trip to Walmart to get supplies. Instead, we did not need to because the Cajun/Cowboy retreat room we stayed in was AMAZINGLY Supplied! WOW! I do not have enough words to express my thanks and gratitude to the Bussey's for their thoughtful provisions of their Bed and Breakfast Room! They had all of the overnight supplies we would need! What a wonderfully sweet couple! They helped create a weekend my husband and I will never forget! My husband and I really LOVED the Cajun/Cowboy retreat room we stayed in! The decorations were so well thought out that my husband and I were still noticing details even when we were checking out on Sunday! We loved the special touches in the room -- remote controlled fireplace/heater, games, books, puzzles, CDs, old fashioned styled radio, ceramic tile decorations, cowboy theme, stars on the ceiling, magazines, very very clean accommodations, Western DVD's, privacy, creativity, decorative details, and much more! We had so much fun exploring what was in the fridge and taking our time the next morning, choosing what to cook from the great selection of snacks and food, and having privacy! I am still in awe of the experience! Not only was the B & B fun, clean and creative --- we were able to visit Mr. Bussey's REALLY cool fossil shop --- and that's not all -- the Bussey's EVEN showed us around and pointed out a few fossil hotspots. (Mr. Bussey is a professional FOSSIL HUNTER!) What an unexpected bonus. My husband and I LOVE adventure! We love the outdoors! If you are looking for an experience you won't forget - with fun, creative and relaxing accommodations, this B & B is well worth your time. This was not just a boring motel room, THIS WAS REALLY LIVING LIFE! DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS FUN!

room very cramped and cluttered. no one was ever available when there was a problem. accommodations are far below average. we were to stay 2 nights but the 1st evening as we were dressing for an elegant dinner, the commode overflowed in the bathroom; hosts said they had been having problems. had to cancel our reservations for dinner and make new reservations for 1.5 hours later while waiting on the hosts to return to the site. unable to get dressed in the bathroom after that. hostess said they would get it cleaned up at which point we stated we would not want to stay another night were told she understood and would give us a discount for our inconvenience. following morning got dressed and packed up (no breakfast as you have to make do with whatever is in the refrigerator and cook it yourself with an electric skillet; we were told there was a kitchenette). we were wanting to check out then go somewhere for breakfast, but we could not locate the hosts, again. we went to the square for breakfast to give them plenty of time to return home. we returned, they still were not there and we had to call them on a cell phone again to try to check out. host stated they would just put it on the card provided; we entitled to a discount as stated by the wife, they said they would just put it on the credit card and we could leave. we wanted our receipt. host finally returned to check us out (we were already 3 hours delayed). she proceeded to add everything up without telling us how much of a discount we would be given for our inconvenience. we were finally told a 10% discount was applied which only amounts to $11.50, hardly enough to make up for all the problems. If I owned a bed and breakfast as bad as this I would be glad to get $45 per night, not $115; at least a 25% discount was expected. this is the only one where i have encountere any problem of at least 25 in which I have stayed. NOT PLEASANT.

My daughter & I stayed here for a mother-daughter getaway weekend, and it was awesome! We loved being able to take Abby, the dog, for a walk around the square, the B&B is very convenient to the square. We loved the cozy comfort of the Victorian room, the enjoyment of swinging in the swing in our little yard and visiting the pond. The decor was beautiful, the hosts were nice, the food was good (and it was nice to cook at our own leisure). There was a nice assortment of CDs to listen to, books/magazines to read, and games to play. I could go on and on, but we had a wonderful time and I'd recommend this place to anyone!
