The Inn has the potential to be a gem. The view and grounds are fabulous, but our room was in some serious need of refurbishing. In the picture it looks nice but in person, everything is faded from the sun, missing one of the chairs by the window, bed coverings yellowed, pictures so faded you can barely tell what they were, carpets stained, etc. No wine & hors d'oeuvers as advertised, path so overgrown I don't see how you could get down to the beach, didn't even get our room cleaned or bed made up! I'm really glad I got an unheard of price of $99. a night cause if I had paid full price I really would of been upset. No other guests during our two night stay so I don't know why the attention to detail was missing, besides the fact the owners may not want to spend any money on an inn that could be a real paradise. Sorry!

One of the few (if only) B&B's that has a one night stay min. Being parents, it is hard enough getting someone to watch the kids, let alone find a 1-night B&B! Staff is great and friendly. Would recommend this to ANYONE for quick get-away. Short walk to both food, shops, and a stroll on the beach! M&T

The view from our room was awesome and the hospitality of the innkeeper was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately go again.

Mornings, the tables are set with linens and fine china in the Breakfast Room overlooking the magical Greenwood Cove and St. Anthony's Point.Thanksgiving Coffee, gourmet teas, and fruit juices accompany Jaci's wonderful home-made muffins followed by a fresh fruit compote and a gourmet breakfast. The view is unforgettable and the frequent comment of our visitors is that it is "magical."The Weston Room - A breathtaking panoramic view of Greenwood Cove and the Point Arena light house in the distance, enhanced by the gardens below brings guests back again and again to this room. Two wing chairs sit at the windows beckoning you to watch the ever changing sea or enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. The very comfortable king size bed with its cloud soft down comforter faces the windows for a view of the ocean as you awake. The large bathroom offers a tub with shower and a ladies antique vanity table.
From the Clifton room you can gaze out to sea from the heavenly king sized bed or comfortable rocker chairs in the sitting area. The beauty of this lovely room is matched only by the perennial English garden below and by one of the most unforgettable ocean views on the Mendocino Coast. You can sit and watch the whales as they migrate or have fun watching the bunnies enjoy the garden below.Breathtaking Panoramic Views of Greenwood Cove, the incredible rock formations and the many tunnels and caves that the ocean has created.
The Sandpiper House Inn is the perfect location for your intimate wedding & honeymoon. The dining room holds 16 guests and if the weather is fine 25 guests can be accommodated in the beautiful gardens. The point at the end of the garden overlooking Greenwood Harbor and its fantastic rock formations, tunnels and caves is a perfect place to get married. If you just want to have an incredible honeymoon...anyone of our ocean-front rooms are perfect, although many honeymooners prefer the Evergreen room with its private balcony, canopied bed, cozy fireplace and double soaking tub.The Evergreen is the most romantic room at the Inn and by far our most popular! A shady garden path leads to the private entrance and balcony of this peaceful Ocean view suite. French doors open to your ocean view deck overlooking the English gardens, Greenwood Cove and St. Anthony's Point. A romantic canopied queen size bed faces the fireplace, which is flanked by two comfortable wing chairs and old-fashioned bookcases. The adjoining dressing room and bathroom offers a luxurious soaking tub for two.

Exquisite view of the caves from the inn's backyard. St. Anthony's Point protects Greenwood Cove from the harsh battering of the ocean but has also created a wonderful outlook for our guests. The Headlands is a spacious ocean view room has a private entrance by way of French doors which open up to your own private patio area. Relax on your patio and enjoy a sweeping view of the ocean and adjoining English gardens. This room has a king size bed and offers a comfortable sitting area with an old-fashioned grandfather clock and wing chair facing the fireplace. The large bathroom includes a luxurious soaking tub for two with a shower. Extra sleeping accomodations are available in this spacious room. Relax on the Headland's private patio and enjoy a sweeping view of the ocean and adjoining English gardens.
Woodland Rose - In 1916, Greenwood Cove was a busy working harbor, and for that reason the original master bedroom was built to face the tranquil pastoral view of the meadows and coastal foothills of Greenwood Ridge. Step back in time in this charming large room offering the romance of a fireplace, sitting area and beautiful armoire. This spacious room has a large private bath with tub and shower.This room also includes an incredibly comfortable California king size bed. Enjoy whale watching! Our innkeeper, Jaci and some of her guests have already seen the whales migrating. Come and watch them too!! Stay 4 nights and the 5th night is free.
