After choosing the Old World Inn based on high recommendations on the website-we were pleased upon arriving. Immediately, the friendly courteous innkeepers helped us feel right at home. This was our first stay in a B&B and could not have been happier. The service was wonderful and the Inn was comfortable and cozy! We stayed in one of the smaller rooms but there was absolutely nothing lacking! The bed was cozy, fireplace was beautiful and the bathroom was filled with everything possible! Coming back from a few hours of wine tasting, a great cheese and wine spread was great and the outside area was a perfect place to relax. The Inn smelled liked freshly baked cookies and scones ALL DAY! The location is a plus-we did not get in our car from the time we got back from tasting to when we left the next morning. We were only here for 1 night but will no doubt be back for a longer stay in the future! And will definitely recommend the Inn to family & friends!

I don't drink wine (or any alcoholic beverages), but I always enjoy the Napa Valley for the beautiful weather, great golf courses, fabulous restaurants and unique shops. Believe it or not, I also enjoy visiting wineries and just being a wandering tourist. This was my second stay in a B&B and it was, again, a memorable experience at the Old World Inn. The Chocolat room was terrific, including the home theater set up, the food was excellent and the other guests were warm, friendly and entertaining. The hostess was also very friendly and helped make our stay a lasting memory in the Napa Valley.

My wife and I decided to come here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were told about the new cottages when we called to make our reservations. Since they were new they didn't have any pictures on their website. The moment we opened the door to our room we were blown away! The bed had a white sheer canopy which gave it a nice elegance complemented with the fireplace right across from it. We felt like we could've stayed in our room the entire time and felt secluded from the rest of the world. Our favorite part was the in room massages and breakfast in bed. It was the perfect way to relax and to kick start our stay here. The jacuzzi tub was awesome and a nice extra to have. This place was a great find! We found the Old World Inn online-doing a random search and then searched for it on trip advisor and saw that it got amazing reviews, so we thought we'd check it out. We couldn't have been more impressed when we arrived. Our room was BEAUTIFUL and the bathroom was HUGE! We also loved the classical music and the big TV with DVD player. The breakfasts have been awesome, and we loved the fact that tea/cereal/milk/yummy cookies were always available! The desserts left out at night were amazing also. This B&B was terrific. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the room had fantastic amenities. The little things like the clean soft bath robes and pull down projector screen entertainment made the room a pleasure to kick back and relax in. Refreshements were always provided downstairs in the dining room, and the breakfast was gourmet and exquisite! We loved everything about this B&B and would recommend it to all our family and friends, and look forward to coming back here next time we're in Napa. We searched online for a Napa B&B to spend the night in after 4 nights of tent camping. Our search turned up many B&B's that looked old-fashioned, with photos of bedrooms reminiscent of a grandmother's guest room (dolls? lace?) - not our idea of romantic. We were so pleased to find the Old World Inn. It had an updated B&B feel with tasteful decor, not overdone but high quality and modern. The bed was divine with crisp sheets and fluffy comforters and pillows. The bathroom had luxurious products and plush towels that were so appreciated after our days in the wilderness. The staff is friendly but not 'in your face.' And the brownies placed out at night - to die for!

Help! I'm being held against my will. I thought we were going to dinner in Houston, but somehow ended up with a bunch of wannabe wine snobs in California. Sometimes birthdays can be hell. We had never stayed at a B&B before and I was really picky about what I wanted. So I did a search for a B&B in Napa and after looking at several I found Old Word Inn. They had the king size bed fireplace and jacuzzi all in one room. Most places only offer queen and a lot only had standard tubs and no fireplace. Also I loved the look and ambience of Old World Inn the best. The staff was very helpful and friendly upon booking the room and providing information on local places. I was so impressed when we arrived! The house was gorgeous and our room (Starry Night) took my breath away! Joy was very friendly and informative and showed us everything we might need or want to use. I was extremely impressed with all the "extras" that weren't mentioned on the website (such as French press coffee, DVD library, community fridge). It made everything that much more special! Our room was amazing, the bed was very relaxing. We had our own private outdoor jacuzzi tub, which was very romantic. The house was quiet and it felt like we were the only two people there. And breakfast in the morning was a meal you would expect at a gourmet restaurant! I came looking for a romantic anniversary get away and I got all I dreamed of and more. My only regret is that we stayed only one night! So just think if we're this impressed after 1 evening how happy you'll be with your stay! I hope to make this "our place" to visit year after year!

We loved this wonderful Bed & Breakfast!! We found and booked our stay at the Old World Inn online. We were a little nervous about our selection because we really had no referral or prior knowledge of this establishment. Boy, were we impressed! This cozy Bed & Breakfast is exactly what we were looking for and more. The staff really exceeded our expectations. The great folks that run this fine establishment seem to sincerely love what they do. They have a vast knowledge of the area, wine and how to treat their guests. You get a sense of a real passion for life (and wine) from the moment you enter the house. Their enthusiasm was contagious. Each night at 5:30pm a different local Napa winery representative was at the main house to conduct a wine tasting. This was really special. Not only did we get to taste the wine (and, cheese and olives etc) but we learned so much about the wines and winery. There was an entire hour dedicated to the guests of Old World Inn in their cozy parlor. It was a very intimate setting that allowed the guests to ask questions and feel very comfortable doing so. This was certainly a very unexpected and nice touch. My bride and I really cannot say enough nice things about the Old World Inn. We live on the east coast and can't wait to go back and stay again. We have already recommended this wonderful Bed & Breakfast to some friends and family members. If you are looking for a charming setting to spend a few days in one of the most beautiful spots in the country, do yourself (and loved one) a favor and stay at the Old World Inn.

We found the Old World inn ironically through a travel agent friend. Though the website gives great detail and pictures of the amenities there was one thing that was noticeably absent and would never be adequately represented through a computer screen. The warmth. It's like visiting a friend's house when you walk through the door. The staff welcomes with a smile, there is cold delicious fruit infused water waiting on the table, and of course the infamous cookies temptingly await. Even the guests are friendly and happy to be here - willingly offering suggestions and great places to eat. A little atmosphere, a warm welcome, and a great nights sleep create an incredible, memorable experience and a guaranteed return visit.

Coming to the Napa Old World Inn was a perfect weekend. After a lot of research my husband picked this lovely inn as a surprise for my birthday. Everything was enjoyable & relaxing from the moment we entered. Our room was comfortable and inviting and I loved the claw foot tub. I originally gave a weekend at the Old World Inn as a present to my son and his wife. They loved their stay there, so when I next visited Napa, I booked a room there as well. For three years my fiancée has had her eye on the Old World Inn. this year for her birthday I surprised her with a trip to Napa, and the OWI exceeded all expectations. The staff was warm and inviting and the Artist's cottage was comfortable and hard to leave. The spa tub was perfect for hot bath after our one hour couples' massage. During our evening we enjoyed a choice selection of wines and some of the most delicious desserts we've ever had. We had a hard time wanting to even leave our room! We found Old World Inn on the internet, and we were pleased that it's one of the best places to kiss in California. It was very easy to book online. The innkeepers even emailed us a list of wineries and restaurants they recommend. Once we chose what we liked, they even took care of our reservations when we arrived. We were extremely impressed by the friendly staff. The house is cozy and inviting, and there are many different rooms to choose from. Wow! What a friendly place. We really felt at home. We enjoyed getting to know the innkeepers as well as the other guests. The wine and cheese hour was an excellent time to share our daily adventures with others and receive information from them as to what they had enjoyed during their day. We could walk anywhere we needed to. After a fun day of wine tasting and sight-seeing, we would walk to one of Napa's many great restaurants and enjoy great food. We both live busy stressful lives. We hoped our stay here would allow us to relax. After a week in Painter 2 I cannot remember was stress is. Not having to plan breakfast or do dishes makes mornings truly easy (especially when you start each day with a soak in the porcelain tub). The canopy bed and fire place drew us in for hours each day. To ice the cake, we got engaged by the fire. Painter 2 will always hold a special place in our hearts. We found Old World Inn through B&B.com. We went directly to the inns website and booked a room - it was a great deal compared to inns in the area and the reviews were great. Plus, where else would we get a movie screen in the room? We arrived midday and despite not being able to go to the room, we were given some great recommendations for wineries to visit. When we came back to the inn we spent some time with other visitors at the wine and cheese tasting from Jessup Cellars. What a treat!! We then went to dinner... when we got back we watched a movie on the big screen! In the morning we had a great breakfast with fresh squeezed oj, egg soufflé, and scones...Yummy! We recently stayed at Old World Inn, and it was our first B&B experience. We were there for our honeymoon. What a great time we had! The staff (Ryan, Joy, et al) were very helpful, and the food was great. The rooms were also fantastic. We stayed for two nights in Secret Garden, then two more in Bella Tuscany (we both tended to prefer Secret Garden, because it had a very comfortable bed, was a bit more spacious, had a fabulous LCD tv and fireplace, and the spa room was awesome; Tuscany had a few more quirks, but was still nice). The Inn is located in a great location in Napa, and the offseason rate made this a real bargain. We would definitely like to return someday!

My mate and I stayed 2 nights at the Old World Inn for his birthday. We will never stay in a hotel again. Old World Inn was the first bed & breakfast we have stayed at, and it raised the bar towards excellence. We live only a half hour from the inn, but felt like we were miles away in paradise. We experienced joy from the moment we walked in up to the moment we left/ There were many things to stimulate our senses; wonderful fragrances in the soaps and toiletries that were offered, special tastes in the foods and wines that were presented, nice touch from the soft sheets and towels, beautiful sites from the projection TV, to the beautiful colors in the room, and friendly smiles and laughter from the staff. Our evening began with a wine tasting in the living room of the Inn. We enjoyed wine, cheese and good conversation. Then off we went for dinner at Celedon, arranged for us by the innkeeper. Upon our return we discovered an inviting fire burning in the pit on the patio. Tempted to Return My wife Lisa and I like to get away from our day to day routines for 2 day jaunts. Fortunately we live in part of the country that offers a great variety of excellent options for these jaunts. Most are easily reachable via 1-3 hour car trips. We have been known to seek out special deals when selecting where to go. After booking a room at a place we had stayed twice previously, we received an email promo for the Old World Inn a few days later. After comparing we chose to cancel the other and go to the Old World Inn for a second stay. We choose the room they call Secret Garden. We brought along a few DVDs which we enjoyed viewing on the large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Another special feature was the hour or so relaxing in the jacuzzi spa tub housed in a room off the main room. All the amenities were high quality. My only wish would be to have the morning coffee offering earlier and stronger - but that's me. Both breakfast were tasty and the conversations with our fellow guests was pleasant, fun and often informative. The first couple we met turned out to live only a few blocks from us! Speaking of food, we had two excellent dinners in downtown Napa. Both within a mile from the inn. The appetizer and wine offering at the inn set up the dinners perfectly. Lisa and I are interested in trying some of the other nearby areas for our future jaunts, but I think there is a good chance we could be tempted to return for a third stay at Old World Inn. Searching the internet revealed a variety of choices...how do you choose when they all look fabulous? Something in the gauzy canopy over the bed called out to me at the Old World Inn. The affordable mid-week price enabled my sister and I to stay and enjoy my 30th birthday in Napa. With a beautiful and convenient location, we were pleasantly surprised by the inviting atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. After mini cookies and mint infused water, we threw open our door to the "Night In Paris" with it's French-style decor and clawfoot tub. How did we get so lucky to choose the best place? The little things in a B&B win you over: the birthday card they left me on the bed, fluffy robes, wine and cheese, desserts, unlimited coffee/tea, movies for your huge flat screen...the list goes on. Be careful though-if you stay here, you'll have a hard time wanting to leave to actually tour the city!

It is our honeymoon and I somehow found the best place to stay! We were looking for luxury, relaxation, quietness and a romantic place...this had it all and then some. We had never stayed at a B & B and now any other one will never compare to this! Their website does not do the place justice! It was a cozy place with a wonderful room that we never wanted to leave with a private bathroom! We were blown away by the ambiance of our room (Bella Tuscany): colors, soaking tub, cute bathroom, music, comfortable bath robes ever, huge movie projection screen and great bathroom toiletries. Wow I haven't even mentioned the beautiful Inn because we wanted to stay in our room the entire time!! I loved the all night chocolates that were too good to stop eating and my husband loved the cookies...all which never seemed to disappear. My husband even really enjoyed the infused water which he never drinks!! The place was so charming and the staff very friendly and helpful. We missed our first breakfast but the morning we stayed to eat was tasty! There is not enough room to go on and on about this place!! First of all everything was great. the staff was most friendly and very helpful. when we decided to com to NAPA Valley I checked the internet (not knowing what I would find) andthe name 'Old World Inn' just called my name. I looked at 1 or 2 others but decided to choose you Inn. I researched so many in the area, but was most impressed with your beautiful rooms that included jacuzzi tubs, home theater systems and a spread of delicious food from breakfast to midnight. There was so much to plan. but your staff made all of my arrangements for us for a spa visit, winery appointment, and dinner reservations - I didn't have to worry about planning at all! Our room was beautiful (Starry Night) - to wake up to see birds flying over the trees was quite romantic - not to mention the private out door jacuzzi! My fiance and I decided to stay at a B&B for Christmas as our plans to drive to WA fell through because of the weather. After finding the Old World Inn on bedandbreakfast.com and reading the reviews, we were both very excited to stay at a place so highly regarded. We booked the Painter Room #1 for two nights (Christmas Eve and Day of) and feel that we got the best room in the place! The innkeepers were happy to show two other rooms-La Biblioteca and the Walden Cottage-but we feel the Painter Room #1 was the best choice for us. Our room came with everything to make our stay relaxing and comfortable: a king-size featherbed, a huge flat-screen TV (which we watched one of their available DVDs), a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, and a jetted spa bathtub which just fit the two of us. Although the Artist's Retreat was across the street, we always felt welcome to go over to the Inn at any time, especially to mingle with the other guests in the evening when the Inn had cheese, wine, and chocolates! The innkeepers are extremely welcoming and the food is out of this world. Overall, the price was great for what we got and we had a great time staying at the Old World Inn.

This is a very special place for us...The Old World Inn. We have stayed in the Walden Cottage three times. The first time we stayed here was because we finally decided to have our own time together. We usually never leave the kids but finally made the time to do it. Every time we come here, we are very impressed with the staff. Vic was very helpful when the projector didn't work. Upon arrival, the immediate entrance was very clean, beautiful Christmas tree. A great stay for the holidays. Everything we needed was provided for us - all the wine and cheese/desserts made it even more special and gives it an extra touch. Bella Tuscany is a great retreat from the typical hotel rooms we have stayed in the past. It tears you away from everyday life and gives much comfort, relaxation, and warmth from the cute fire place in the corner. I don't have one negative thing to say - it was all above and beyond from the reviews I read online. I highly recommend the place for anyone that wants to experience a unique stay at a bed and breakfast.

We needed somewhere to escape for the weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We found the Old World Inn on bedandbreakfast.com. When me and my husband saw the picture of the La Boheme, one of the amazing rooms at the inn, we knew this was the place for our special weekend. We were immediately greeted by the staff when we arrived and given a tour of the grounds. I even saw other rooms in the inn for our next trip out. Our room was exactly what we were looking for and more that I expected. I immediately melted in the goose feather pillows and soaked in the fresh linen smell of the cotton sheets. The claw foot tub was a plus and definitely needed to help me begin enjoying my very relaxing night. The wine served in the evening with the cheese and crackers gave my taste buds a treat. The staff made reservations at a local Italian Restaurant called Uva. The walk to the restaurant was delightful. We loved all the Victorian style homes and have made plans to retire here someday and watch the weekend folks walk by our home as we sip our glass or pinot grigio on our wrap around porch. The dinner was just what we were looking for. We ended our night with brownies from the dinning room and an action movie on the 80" Dolby digital projector screen. We will never forget this night and will definitely be back again to melt our worries away.

After like 6 hours of driving with traffic and wet weather, it was such a great experience to be welcome by friendly staff and to stay in a warm and charming room "Starry Night". To have our own jacuzzi to relax being like you're in another peaceful place away from traffic. The food and desserts were a great plus. A really yum treats! This romantic getaway is affordable and really a refreshing change from staying in a more expensive hotel with out the charms the B&B offers. I totally loved my stay here.

What I liked most about The Old World Inn was it's charm. The comfort of my bed was outstanding! I could have stayed in the bed forever! The sheets smelled amazing and the bed was VERY comfortable to the point where I never want to stay in a regular hotel again. I was searching the web to find a place to stay in Napa for a couple of days, when I decided to check out the B&B's. Old World Inn caught my eye with all the flags out front and the great appearance. Than as I was reading about the inn I was sold - everything that was said about the inn sounded absoloutely perfect for what we were planning. I emailed the innkeepers - Vic and Joy answqered all my questions excellently. Upon arrival Ryan helped us out with a great place to eat within walking distance. When we came back the room was ready and the first impression just blew us away. It was absolutely beautiful/so romantic/just perfect. The house was decorated for the holidays and was very warm and cozy. The nightly chocolates were to die for and the Jacuzzi totally relaxing. Words cannot describe how great this place is. From the time we found the website on bedandbreakfast.com with the Oprah recommendation we felt we were in for a treat. When we called, Janie greeted us and was so friendly and excited to have us come, we felt our search for a special Inn was over. When we arrived Joy & Ryan were here and glad to see us. The Inn is lovely inside and out. Every need has been anticipated from comfy beds to midnight snacks. The breakfasts and desserts are delicious. We were lucky to attend 2 wine pourings here. We learned so much and enjoyed the hor's devours and friendly conversations. They even made sure sweet wine was served. I'm sure that was just for me. The best thing of all is the staff. We arrived Sunday afternoon 1 1/2 hours early...Needless to say Vic was able to accommodate us immediately!! Our room was the best they had to offer (Walden Cottage) and the amenities were so homey. We had coordinated our busy schedules to fit in a little birthday get away...Mid semester for me and abandonment of a busy sole-prop engineering firm for my love. From the innkeepers to our fellow guests to the fire pit, every minute helped complete our rendezvous away from all that usually absorbs our every waking moment. We left reluctantly to resume our real lives - waiting to return another day another birthday or...Just because we can get a room!! The Napa Wine Train is only a 5 minute drive and there are numerous wonderful restaurants nearby as well. We had a marvelous dinner at Angele, on the river. This experience was as perfect as we could have hoped for. As my wife and I talked about how we wanted to celebrate our first year of marriage, we came up with a few important things - 1) Go some where that we can enjoy great food and wine; 2) Stay some where that feels like home; 3) Relax and reflect on our wonderful first year of marriage. We come from a land of hotels and motels and the fast paced life style of the 4th largest city in the USA. We had heard so much about B&Bs from my sister but had always resisted. Finally we decided to try a B&B for a few days in front of a week's stay in Lake Tahoe. To the internet we went and a search on Napa B&Bs found the Old World Inn advertised on the home page of the site we selected. A fairly short drive (for Texans) from Sacramento and we arrived at the Inn. From the moment we entered the front door it's been all about service (great). The breakfasts have been an amazing start to our busy days of shopping and wine tasting. Always a good nights sleep, banter with other guests, wine & cheese and chocolate desserts at night, etc, etc. The only question that has arisen is why we waited so long to try our first B&B. We learned about the B&B in O Magazine. I checked it out online and picked the Night In Paris room because it loooked so enchanting in the picture. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to see that the room looked exactly as expected. Inviting was our first impression as we entered the doors of the Old World Inn. The view of the beautiful hardwood floors and fine antique furniture well positioned throughout gave us a feeling of comfort. The best was the sincere smile of Joy (so appropriately named) who greeted us into the inn. We no longer felt invited; we became extended family. We intended to spend are 2nd anniversary in June here and the fires and airline flights had other plans for us; we wound up back home. We had the most wonderful stay at your Inn. You made our late arrival very easy. Our room "Starry Night" was small but oh so cozy and comfortable. Our bed was amazingly soft and very much like home. The desserts in the evening were so delicious especially the crunchy buckeyes. The wine presentation was very educational. I really enjoyed learning about how the different wines were made. While looking for a place to stay in Napa, we soon discovered that a majority of the hotels were already booked or too overpriced. We then thought to look at some of the B & B's in the area. The feather bed was to die for, the bathroom had great toiletries and a classic clawfoot tub/shower, the home entertainment system and DVD selection were wonderful. As we sit on the front porch and begin our stay, our minds are transported back in time to the 1800s. Upon entering the house I finds that the dream has become a reality. Or so I think. Instantly we are greeted with a genuinely warm and friendly smile from our hostess and a feeling of coming home. Our steps sound out of place as we walk across the original hard wood floors. Photos of family members long gone stare out at us...wanting us to accept the feeling of all the love and happiness they shared in this room. Entering the secret garden is just that. An unexpected secret garden. Lying on the bed feels like floating on clouds. We close our eyes, relax and enjoy the moment. Are we really floating? WOW! Reluctantly we get up and open a shuttered door. The fantasy begins to take on a whole nother level. A deeper level. We step down into a secluded spring garden. I close me eyes and I can hear the bees buzzing around the dancing flowers, the birds singing their mating songs, and the wind whispering through the trees. We never want to leave this spot. Amazing. Our spa tub becomes our own hidden lagoon. A calming lavendar scent greets us as we sit and take advantage of the secret lagoon just as God intended. This moment will last forever in our memories. Can this "secret garden" get any better? Who knows. Just think...we haven't even experienced our gourmet breakfast or chocolate dessert or in-house wine tasting. I think it is safe to say that this does get better. (it does) So does the fantasy go way beyond reality as we know it? Or is the reality actually the fantasy becoming real? Hhmm. Thank you for allowing us to live our dream.

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend at Napa for my birthday recently and loved our stay at the Old World Inn. The breakfast was great (although similar on both mornings) but the special touches really made us smile - the wine pouring our 1st night, chocolates, cheeses and cakes laid out at various times of the day and the fire they started each night at 8:00pm. Our room was a little on the small side but it didn't bother us. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a romantic and relaxing weekend. The innkeeper made all my reservations for me before my arrival so all I had to do once I got up to Napa was enjoy myself

This was our first stay at a B&B and our first time in Napa.When we pulled up to the Old World Inn, we quickly realizedthat we were in for a treat! The friendly and knowledgable staffwas always there with a smile and a recommendation for where to eat and drink. Our room (La Biblioteca) was our own little oasiswith a bed fit for a queen (and her king) and every little amentity thatone could think of - from popcorn to accompany a good movie to fluffy bathrobes to curl up in after a relaxing bath. The homemade goodies like cookies and brownies were amazing, but the absolute best thing were the chocolate covered strawberries! Never in my life have I been so spoiled. We found the Old World Inn via the internet. After reading rave reviws and seeing pictures of the rooms on the OWI website we were hooked. Ryan was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We knew our honeymoon was going to be extra special. The evening wine tasting are so much fun, be sure to attend. Staying at the OWI was a great way to meet other couples staying at the Inn. We actually found the Old World Inn by visiting Napavalley.com. I literally looked at every B&B listed to ensure all options were considered so the best place could be picked for our anniversary. What struck me about the Old World Inn was how familiar with the B&B I felt just by visiting the website. It didn't just give a description of the room, it described the type of experience we would have and backed it up with prior guests comments. The Secret Garden room intrigued me from the start due mostly to the "Secret" spa room, however I was a bit concerned due to the proximity to the dining room. I called to inquire about the room and Ryan, one of the Innkeepers, very patiently and thoroughly described the privacy door to alleviate noise and other details of the room that previous guests had commented about. Any concerns were displaced by feeings of anticipation of our napa trip. Once we got here and saw the room our breath was literally taken away.It was beautiful, unlike what I ever imagined. The photos didn't do it justice at all. The nicest bonus of our entire stay was how professional, helpful and friendly all 3 innkeepers were whether helping with dinner reservations, winery recommendations or even locating and making arrangments for another room for the night when we decided to extend our stay at last minute . I am going to recommend Old World Inn to all of my friends and look forward to planning our next trip here soon!

As a special treat for our 25th Anniversary, my husband and I chose "The Old World Inn" for our stay because it looked like a place where we could relax and be pampered a bit. We were not disappointed! From the time we arrived, our hosts made us feel special, helping us with some sight-seeing decisions and offering suggestions to help our stay be both memorable and romantic. And the pampering!! Sleeping under the stars after a relaxing spa bath was the perfect way to unwind. This is our third time staying at the Old World Inn. Each time we visit we have a unique and amazing experience. Each room has its own unique qualities making each stay different from the last. The beds are super comfortable and we always get a good night sleep. Waking up is a treat because breakfast smells delicious. The food is wonderful. The reason we continue to come back is the staff. My husband and I had a unbelievably amazing stay at the Old World Inn. Neither of us had stayed at a bed and breakfast before and booked our four-night stay online. The price was very reasonable AND all of the extras included (wine tasting, appetizers & desserts) made the decision easy for us. My husband and I chose Old World Inn for our Napa stay to celebrate our 10th anniversary. After surfing the web for the perfect bed and breakfast we settled on Old World Inn because of it's ideal location right in downtown Napa - close to restaurants, wineries, and quaint shops and the Victorian look of the home. Upon our arrival to the inn we noticed the warm friendly welcome from the staff and the feeling of a comfortable, relaxed place to stay. Not only was this our first time to the Old World Inn, but this was our first experience at a bed and breakfast so we had no idea what to expect. It was my husband and I's 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted to get away but nothing to far from home (we live near Sacramento). I started my on-line search. The rooms displayed for the Old World Inn site immediately caught my attention. After being able to book a room (Starry Night) in less than two weeks noticed I was impressed. The decor of the house when we entered was amazing; nothing like we've ever seen before; a great escape from the day to day big city life. The skylights in the ceiling of the room, the electric stove, plasma tv, jacuzzi tub, and feather bed were just some of the highlights of our trip. This was just what we needed and we'll never forget our special anniversary.

Old World Inn came highly recommended by some friends of ours who have stayed with you before. We love the backyard patio area and the front porch. These two areas really tied the inn together and made it very romantic and comforting. Back home we don't have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of such distinct rest spots which we took full advance of when at the Old World Inn. The inn is very cozy with all the comforts, smell, tastes, and amenities of a loving home. We enjoyed the trusting accessibility to the inn's collection of movies, refreshments, suggestion flyers and binders, and internet printer table. The soothing bubble bath in the evening was a fabulous cap to delicious dinner we had at a nearby restaurant. The beautiful navy blue fireplace kept us toasty and gave a wonderful accent to our Chocolat hideaway. Chocolate covered cherries and white wine was a great way to end the evening with a sweet note. Old World Inn made our first visit to Napa completely unforgettable. Janie, Vic and Ryan were amazing Inn Keepers with the best hospitality I've ever encountered. The breakfast they served were gourmet homecooked meals that I would drive the 6 hours again just to experience. The Painter rooms were awesome and having our breakfast delivered and ready for us at our door and in our fridge was so awesome. The free coffee and DVDs were such a plus to make our stay completely UNFORGETTABLE!! We will never go to another B&B in Napa - our loyalty remains with Old World Inn after just one visit!! A Getaway My husband and I were looking for a getaway that was close to home so we could enjoy a night away from our children. We definitely found what we were looking for. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. There were small but important touches that made our stay enjoyable. Wine in our room, hor derves, coffee, desserts, all available at any time of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. In searching for a comfortable, romantic getaway in Napa, I found the Old World Inn amongst a list of Bed and Breakfasts on the internet. Upon sorting through the pictures of the highest rated B & B's, I narrowed my choice to 3. On calling these three B&B's, to confirm price and availabilty, it was speaking with Joy on the phone and her personality and enthusiasm convinced me that the Old World Inn was where I wanted to stay. After a long and grueling day of wine tasting, my boyfriend and I arrived at the Inn and was greeted warmly and given a tour of the house. We settled into the Starry Night room on the most amazingly comfortable bed and watched a movie on the flat screen TV. After the movie, we opened a nice bottle of wine and retired to the outside private jacuzzi to enjoy the clear, cool night air and moonlit sky. After a wonderful nights sleep, we awoke to the smell of coffee and friendly chatter at the breakfast table. A relaxing and gourmet breakfast, fresh oj and Bing Crosby background music, we regrettably had to say goodbye. Off we went, list in hand with recommended sites to see, with wonderful memories of our romantic stay at the Old World Inn!

WE LOVED OLD WORLD INN! Thanks to American Express Platinum Travel Service! They introduced us to your wonderful inn! The staff was warm and friendly, the room lovely and inviting. Very romantic and comfortable! The fireplace in the living room was so warm and the living room was a great way to meet new people from all over. We selected the Secret Garden room for the special tub, were surprised it wasn't big enough for two-but we tried! :) The breakfasts were outstanding-delicious and the portions were large. Homemade marshmallows, yummy brownies and great snacks made us feel at home. We appreciated the winery suggestions and appreciated the tasting coupons. We visited 12 wineries in 2 days. We stayed for 2 nights and slept so well! The beds were comfortable, the tiny fireplace heater kept us very warm. We would recommend the Old World Inn to everyone, and plan to visit again soon. I'm calling AmEx as soon as we get home to thank them for the great suggestion!

I recently vowed that I was going to focus more on learning to take the curve balls life throws my way in stride. I had been feeling particularly stressed out at work and very unappreciated for the long hours I put in. I was also very nervous about some questionable medical test results that were going to require more follow-up tests. I realized that life is meant to be enjoyed in the here and now moments, not to store up and wait to enjoy at some future unknown time. I wanted to take immediate action to put my new philosophy of enjoying life in the moment and taking things in stride. I realized a restful get away with my husband would be a spontaneous surprise and much needed stress reducer. I remember seeing the Old World Inn website previously and went there again on Friday. I saw one of my favoritely decorated rooms was avaialble on Sunday and with full support of my husband we booked it. Incredible! We ate cookies, drank tea, sipped wine, met great people over cheese and crackers, lounged in our huge bed, enjoyed dessert for hours and the tub, watched TV, slept great, awoke early to drink coffee and watched a movie in bed and then showered and had a wonderful breakfast. This is our second trip here at the inn and in the "Starry Night" room. The first time we came to the inn everything was amazing. The inn, the food, the hospitality, just everything. By the time we had to leave I could not imagine not coming back to the inn. Our hearts, our health, and our marriage was full and renewed. The time that has lapsed since our last visit here has been spent in anticipation of planning and waiting for a time to return to this magical place. This was our first trip to Napa and I couldn't think of a better first impression than the Old World Inn. A charming well maintained older house, it was the perfect location for a base of operations to explore the wonders of Napa Valley! The breakfasts were exceptional, the rooms cozy and comfortable, the staff very helpful, and the other guest very friendly, especially during the daily wine and cheese hour in the afternoon! We would definitely recommend the Old World Inn to our friends and family and are already talking about a return trip.

My husband and I had not been on a vacation for a long time. We were looking forward to it. We booked the Old World Inn after checking the inns in both Napa and Sonoma. Old World Inn seemed to be the best value for all it was offering and it was centrally located. We were more than pleasantly surprised! Room was comfy, exceptionally clean, and peaceful after walking all day. The food was excellent especially gourmet breakfast. The hosts were more than you could ask for. Always going out of their way to fulfill our requests and answer all of our questions. Most of all the smiles on the staff and innkeepers faces were what started our days the right way! We were only able to stay 1 night in Napa and our new friends at Old World Inn treated us like close friends or family. We were greeted warmly upon arrival with a smile, tea and cookies. As this was a second trip to Napa we knew where we wanted to stay and through extensive research found the Old World Inn. It was close to downtown, close to the highway, and close to Trefethen where we are club members. The selection of Chocolat gave us a great room, front of house, large bed and great screen at the foot of the bed. Having a few things booked we thought we were set. Ryan and Victor listened to us and made even better recommendations. We wanted quite wineries - they made it happen. Breakfast was a delight as we met so many friendly and amusing people. The large table made for ease of discussion. We will be back.

Welcome to a taste of the past where simple pleasures and small touches add up to huge experiences. Our reservation started online and the follow up with a phone call and email. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiling faces and a plate of cookies. Our introduction started in an unhurried tour and explanation of what to expect. We were offered tips and reservations were made for us. The very accommodating staff went the extra mile. Just the right amount of interaction made us very comfortable. At 5:30 we were treated to a small spread of cheese and dried fruit and a private tasting by Judd's Hill Winery. Chilled wine and real glasses in our room was very thoughtful. Our Night in Paris was charming and felt like we were on a true vacation far from home. At 7 pm chocolate goodies and topping off the evening a caraf of wine was available to abide by the cozy outdoor fire pit. The morning fresh brewed coffee and ready to steep french press called us. The breakfast was excellent and filling. A true treat to experience again and share with friends.

The B & B Experience - To 'B' or Not to 'B' Definitely to 'B' at the Old World Inn! Our family decided to stop giving christmas gifts and birthday gifts to each other a few years ago and in exchange opened a savings account and made deposits on every occassion. It became known as the 'Birthday fund'! We decided to put our fund to good use upon our mother-in law's 60th birthday(which was this August). We just had to decide on a destination-Napa. The next step was to research the best possible place to rest ourselves during our tour of Napa. We searched and kept coming back to the Old World Inn. In comparison with several other B&B's available ,Old World Inn always shined. Due to a great website, personable friendly staff, which whom I spoke with on several occassions, it became quite clear that picking the Old World Inn was the best choice. Our trip has come and gone and it was truly special in everyway!It was so pleasant to wake up in such a beautiful and cozy environment as well as to return from a day of wine tasting only to go to bed in complete comfort with a belly fullof delicious treats from their very qualified and capable chef. We spent 2 nights at the Old World Inn after reading great reviews online. The inn exceeded our expectations for our first B&B experience. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful from the time we made our reservation to the end of our stay giving. They gave us great recommendations on which wineries and restaurants to visit and how to get there. Our room, La Biblioteca, was cozy and comfortable. The bed was great. We really felt like we were staying at a friend's house while we were here. We enjoyed talking to the other guests about their trips and to the innkeepers to get the local choices. All of the recommendations of where to go were great. The inn is conveniently located in walking distance to great Napa restaurants and easy access to Hwy 29 and Silverado Trail. We highly recommend staying here for your trip to Napa.

I found the Old World Inn searching the internet. Although there are literally hundreds of B&B's to choose from I kept returning to the Old World Inn website. It might have been the lure of "big screen" projection TV or the mention of evening chocolates, but after reviewing the website several times I made a call to the B&B. It was then I knew this was the place for our vacation. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and truly made you feel at home. Their recommendations for wineries and other things to do was excellent. Although we were on the go most of our stay, this was the most relaxing vacation. The room was exactly as shown on the website, and very comfortable. It truly felt like home! The gourmet breakfasts were awesome and served in a friendly atmosphere. What a Stay! My husband and I were looking for the perfect location to celebrate our honeymoon. Our criteria was demanding as we wanted a memorable stay, something close enough, yet distant enough from the beaten trek to the vineyards, and it had to fit our newlywed budget fresh from paying for a wedding. We came across Old World Inn after days of searching on the 'net, and not have been happier. The variety of themed rooms, scaled prices, location and amenities won us over. The staff offered superior service. The daily gourmet breakfast whipped up by a private chef was superb. Nightly, there were wine tastings for the guests courtesy of local vineyards. The location, cleanliness and attentiveness made our first vacation together extra special. We'd made a pact not to visit the same place twice during our lifetime together, but we already know our O.W.N. will make us eat our words.

We found the Old World Inn on the internet. One feature of many other wonderful ones inside the room really striked us (to be precise me) is the 80" screen and projector. I am a movie fanatic and always dream of having a home theater. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I entered the room and played around with the system (while my wife was busy looking at the linens and decorations). We brought along a couple favorite DVD to take full advantage of the system. To our delightful surprise, this thoughtful preparation was not necessary. The Old World Inn has a DVD collection of about 200 titles (roughly). You probably have to stay there a month to finish them all (not to mention you have to skip all the wine tours). Lying in the super comfortable bed and watching great movies on a 80" screen was a fantastic way to conclude a memorable day of wine tasting. Many thanks to the Old World Inn. My wife might let me buy my own projector as long as I can buy a new bed as comfy as yours!

We had a great time at the Inn. We were on our honeymoon and my wife wanted to stay at a B&B. She had never stayed at a B&B before and this was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room (Chocolat) was nicely thought out and spacious. The inn itself was charming with a lot of character. The food is excellent. Mingling and talking to the other guests added to the experience. We found the inn on the internet by accident. It looked interesting and thought it would add to our honeymoon experience. The Old World Inn was an ideal selection to celebrate our 25th anniversary. From the moment that we walked through the door, we experienced gracious hospitality from our innkeepers, Victor, Ryan, and Joy. A wine tasting was scheduled two of the three days we were there and what a great way to meet and mingle with the other guests and share experiences about the wineries. Our room, La Biblioteca, was warmly decorated and had that instant feel of comfort and coziness. It had all the modern amenities that one would want such as, a projection screen, surround sound and a wide selection of DVD's to choose from. Complimentary wine was also in our room to greet us. Decadent chocolates appeared every evening in the dining room,a little touch of sweetness. Mornings we would wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, then head downstairs to the warm and welcoming dining room and sit down to a delicious gourmet breakfast. Our last day there, Diane, the chef, even prepared our breakfast to go since we had an early flight. Our 25th anniversary was truly unforgettable, thanks to the Old World Inn and its entire staff. Within minuets of our arrival we were relaxing on the bed with an excellent house white and the stay improved from there. Our stay in Napa was simply perfect thanks to our decision to book the Old World Inn B&B. At first we were concerned that our wonderful room would not be private enough, being so close to the dining room. But the Secret Garden room proved to be a lovely hide-away. We loved the sunken spa on our little private porch room. So relaxing, it melted away any left over stress from travel. The bed was so comfortable we slept very well. Your location is ideal for walking to and from local restaurants after a long day of wine tastings. The staff made excellent suggestions. We especially enjoyed our Del Dotto cave tour, and dinners at ZuZu and Celadon. Congratulations to your chef. The breakfasts were special, and the chocolate treats were divine. You attract guests from all over the country, and we enjoyed the friendly chatter at breakfast and in the afternoon wine tastings. Other nice touches - the French press coffee and the big screen TVs. I decided to surprise my husband for our sixth year anniversary. We did a wine blending workshop at COPIA on Friday, wine boot camp on Saturday, and then a winery outing on Sunday. It was a fun filled wine weekend, which we enjoyed immensely. Old World Inn served as our base. We were able to walk to dinner Friday night and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast Sunday before heading out to the wineries. The staff was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and wineries. Being from Massachusetts, we have been to many great B&Bs throughout New England and we have found that the Old World Inn in Napa Valley matches and exceeds many of those. Every person working there were extremely friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of Napa and Sonoma areas. Every food and winery recommendation were exactly as described. We came to Napa with little expectations except to have a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Joy was the first to exceed our expectations before our arrival calling us to make sure what we needed. We were recently married and decided instead of taking one long honeymoon to take several shorter honeymoon trips. We have gone to Costa Rica, Paris, and London prior to coming to Napa. The environment at Old World Inn has been the most serene and romantic. The Inn is amazing, the cool breeze from our balcony-ette, the fluffy bed, the delicious brownies and cookies, and the superb breakfasts. The staff was instrumental in helping us pick excursions to enhance our romantic getaway. Such excursions included an amazing balloon ride above the Valley, picnic locations, wineries, and delicious dinner locations. Out of all of our honeymoon trips this year, Old World Inn and Napa Valley was the place that encourages romance and quality time the most.
