Rosevine Inn B&B
Rosevine Inn was built on the foundation where a large English Tudor home once stood. The original home was built in 1934 under the direction of architect Graston Gill, for Dr. Irvin Pope Jr., and his wife Annelle. Their adopted son, Robert Pope inherited the property and the family fortune in the early 1960's. In the early morning hours of December 5, 1969, a mysterious fire burned the dark brick Tudor to the ground. Robert was away in California, and never returned to Tyler, TX, before his death in 1987. A member of the family, Dr. Irwin Pope Sr., one of Tyler's first physicians, at one time occupied the entire block of Vine from Front Street to Williams Court. Now, The Rosevine Inn, is a quaint two-story brick home with a white picket fence located in the Historic Brick Street District of Tyler. The Inn was built with the look, charm and feel of a vintage home, while maintaining all the qualities of a new structure. A full gourmet breakfast is served each morning and includes quiches, coffeecakes, muffins, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, and more! Your hosts will be more than happy to direct you to great area restaurants, antique shops, museums, lakes, zoo, and other sites throughout Tyler and surrounding areas. Business travelers can be accommodated with airport pickup, fax and copy machines, VCR and secretarial services. The inn is perfect for group bookings, family reunions, shopping trips, etc...
