We've stayed several B&Bs in Eureka Springs over the years. By far, the food at Mt. Victoria was the best we've ever had and the charm, decor, and hospitality was an added plus. Pricey, but worth it.

This was our first experience at a B&B and it was fantastic. From the minute we drove up to the house we felt as if we were at home. Very comfortable and peaceful setting. Lisa and Chris were wonderful. Very accomadating, helped us get settled in and then we enjoyed a nice glass of wine after a drive from Memphis. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we had delicious cookies in our room when we arrived. The beginning of each day starts with a wonderful breakfast that includes some of Chris's specialties, fantastic coffee and juice. WE enjoyed our breakfast while sitting on our balcony and it was such a great experience. Chris and Lisa are readily available if you need anything at all and make you feel very much at home. We spent three incredible nights at Mount Victoria in Eureka Springs ! If there was a rating of 10 this would be it! The problem is for the rest of B&B for me, this will be my new standard. They will not measure up. We have stayed at B&B all over the US and some in Canada, but even the best don't come close to this wonderful place. The owners Lisa and Chris are so personable to every detail, and the food, wow! I am an Architect and notice many things most people don't. The whole experience was incredible! We are returning in Dec. 2009 for 4 nights and can't wait. I loved this place! My husband and I stayed here for our 3rd wedding anniversary and it was amazing. The room (Sander's) was absolutely beautiful! The entire place smelled wonderful! Nice big comfy bed, a great movie collection for those nights you want to stay in and relax. Freshly brewed (good) :) coffee, mini fridge with drinks, late night snacks, everything you could possibly think of or want. Don't get me started on the food!!! AMAZING! Everyday the food seemed to just get better and better. Lisa, I am still dreaming about that blueberry bread pudding! This was truly a fantastic short get away from Oklahoma to Mount Victoria. 5 star food -5 star service and hospitality. Just came home from spending two days at Mount Victoria and had a fantastic time! As others have said, the food is spectacular! The breakfasts were the best we've ever had! We also had Chris make us his special BBQ pulled pork sandwiches....the best BBQ EVER!! Do not pass this up! Chris and Lisa do a wonderful job of making you feel welcome. They go out of their way to make your stay special. My husband and I really enjoyed visiting with them on the front porch, and of course, we can't forget Ping and Pong! Do not miss the opportunity to stay here! Chris and Lisa have a true gift which is hospitality. Chris also has the gift of cooking, his breakfasts were the best we have ever had. WOW! That pretty much sums up our stay at the Mount Victoria. The food is beyond words. We were served Lisa's lemon blueberry bread pudding with breakfast one morning & she put this special angel food ice cream on top with caramel sauce! We've never had ice cream with breakfast before, that's for sure! Chris's breakfast is delicious. It is the best food we've ever had at a B&B. Lisa and Chris made our anniversary get a way one we will never forget. They are so nice and will get you anything you need. Our room was so beautiful. My wife and I was in dire need of a stress release short vacation and did we find it at Mount Victoria Bed and Breakfast. From the minute we arrived we were treated as guests and not "paying customers". We arrived early and Lisa took the time to check our room and let us check in two hours early. The rooms were very charming and very comfortable. We had a great selection of DVD's to watch and Lisa's home made signature deserts that my delighted my wife and I. Chris's breakfasts on the veranda was the highlight for both of us. The whole time we were shopping and sightseeing in Eureka we kept talking about how comfortable our room was and how we both wanted to go back to our room and relax. We were there for the fourth of July and skipped out on fireworks to just relax to a nice hot tub bubble bath and watch tv in our room. I havent seen my wife get this much sleep since I have known her. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast for anyone wanting a peaceful stress free relaxing stay. We are already planning our two year anniversary in November for another two day stay!!!!

My girlfriend and I were at the INN a year ago for the first time and we wrote a long ang glowing review of the experience at the Mount Victoria. To prove we were sincere in our praise we returned again this June. This time the occassion was even more special as I proposed to my now fiance. My husband and I stayed here for a Babymoon weekend (6/5-6/7). We got lost on our way to Mount Victoria, but we called Chris and he was able to navigate us to the Inn. We had never stayed at a B&B, so we weren't sure what to expect. Chris and Lisa met us at the door and walked us to our room. We stayed in the Mazaret Suite. It was beautiful. Lisa did the decorating herself and she did a wonderful job. We felt very pampered here. We enjoyed breakfast there two mornings. Chris even made my breakfast especially for me since I'm pregnant and not everything sits well. We couldn't have asked for anything more, except maybe to stay longer. We felt like we were leaving a friend's house. Chris and Lisa are very laid back and willing to strike up a conversation on the porch. We had been trying to stay at this B&B for awhile - they were always full. We put ourselves on a wait list and, lucky for us, they had a cancellation. We were ecstatic! This is the first B&B we've stayed in that blows the word "breakfast" out of the water! There are no boring pancakes or quiche served here that's for sure! Chris's breakfasts are unbelievable, they're gourmet and beautiful and we ate every bite every day. We stayed with Chris and Lisa for four days and every day blew us away. The Inn is perfectly located in that it is removed from all the noise of downtown but only 3 blocks walking distance. The rooms are gorgeous and romantic and super clean. My husband and I just returned from this beautiful Inn. Lisa and Chris are a true class act as is this Inn - it is incredible!! From the moment we drove up and were greeted by their smiling faces and then saw the amazing decor when we opened the front door, we knew we had chosen the right place for our anniversary. Lisa and Chris are so laid back and down to earth - they made us feel so comfortable - and tended to our every need. I work a very demanding schedule and my wife endures a lot for my sake. So every year for our anniversary I go for a shock and awe approach trying to out do last years trip. My husband and I were invited by my brother to stay at Mount Victoria for his daughter's wedding weekend. It was such a treat, and I must admit that I felt sorry for the other wedding guests who stayed elsewhere. The rooms are large and filled with beautiful antiques from Lisa's collection and the decor was up to date but still fitting the setting. We started off with one of Lisa's cakes and from there, the food just was wonderful. I wished they had shared their recipes. My husband and I visited the Mount Victoria for a much needed getaway. The rooms were outstanding as well as the breakfast. The house was beautiful not only on the inside but also the outside. Mt. Victoria Inn is a good place to run away from everyday cares. Without dipping even my smallest toe in the famed local waters, I found much needed relief from my worries. After a busy day of 'connecting the dots' with visits to both the area's natural wonders and collection of quaint Victorian shops, I'd arrived back to borrowed 'home' to immerse myself in simple pleasures: I'd sit on the outside veranda and let the breeze caress my face and my eyes soak up the gorgeous scenery; I let myself get lost in a borrowed book or movie while curled snug in my borrowed bed; and I enjoyed life and wrote about it while others prepared my meals. And food always tastes better when prepared by another's capable and gifted hands. This inn has two that answer to this description. Words cannot express the graciousness of hospitality experienced. On a recent impulsive visit to Eureka Springs, we first stopped at a B & B that bills itself as the best....thankfully they didn't have any vacancies (dusty smelling and uninspiring). We called as we passed Mount Victoria and they had a last-minute cancellation, and it turned out to be the most wonderful stay at a B & B we've ever had. Not only is the immaculate exterior reminiscent of the "Old South," but you walk into a clean, fresh-smelling and beautifully decorated interior. This was our first time to stay in a B&B. Everything about the Mount Victoria and Chris and Lisa exceeded our expectations. We were totally impressed with everything from the moment we drove in the driveway. The rooms are so beautifully decorated and spacious...and fresh! Most older homes smell "old," but not the Victoria. Cudos to Lisa for her decorating style! There are so many things personalized for you in your room when you arrive, you don't notice all of them right away. And, amazing food...Chris is quite a cook! It was trully a super experience. We have needed a romantic getaway for a few years now, & I had been telling my husband that I wanted to try staying at a B&B. I knew I had to find one that was a perfect balance of pampering, relaxation, elegance, history, good food, & "not-too-froofy" for us to both enjoy it--and for him to agree to try it. I found Mount Victoria on the web (after looking through endless articles on other B&B's in the tri-state area) & knew I found "the one". I showed the pictures to my husband & he thought it might be good, but warned me that "they always make it look better in the pictures than it really is". But, I knew that this one had everything we were looking for & needed in a romantic getaway--so, at the last minute, my husband agreed to try it. After arriving there & during our stay, we found that it far exceeded our expectations & desires for a 5th anniversary celebration of our marriage. It so happens that we got married in my husband's home church in Eureka Springs, & have family nearby--but have never stayed anywhere in town before. Our stay as guests in Chris & Lisa's home was memorable for all the right reasons--beautiful decor, wonderful hospitality, spacious rooms, great location, every amenity you could want or need, & of course the most delicious gourmet breakfasts (awesomely edible art masterpieces)!!! The coffee/tea, homemade cake & biscotti were also delightful--not to mention the chocolate-covered strawberries (my favorite treat) & champaigne! With the jacuzzi tub, wifi access, & great movie & book library, we had no need to leave our room. Chris & Lisa were wonderful hosts & we felt like we were at a home-away-from-home, only much, much better! It was nice to feel like a King & Queen for a couple of days! After we got back home, I asked my husband about what we might do for our next getaway. His response: "How can we top this?" The Inn is beautiful - sometimes pictures can be deceiving - not the case here - it is even better in person. The food.....THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!! Chris should open his own restaurant!! Their version of Eggs Benedict left us in awe....you won't ever have anything like it!! Eureka Springs is a very special place for my wife and me. We try to go twice a year to get away from the rush of our everyday lives. We started going to Mount Victoria shortly after Chris and Lisa opened and have not stayed anywhere else since. My wife and I have now stayed there five times and have sixth trip scheduled. We have stayed many other places in Eureka, so I can say with all confidence that it is truly the best that Eureka has to offer. My wife and I will never stay anywhere else as long as Chris and Lisa are in Eureka Springs. The rooms are incredible and the food is even better. I have worked in hotels & restaurants for the last 6 years and I have stayed at over 100 different places from B & B to hotels, and cabins. I have never been so pleased with a place. I loved Mt. Victoria. My partner and I stayed there on 19 & 20 of December and had a great time. The moment we walked in the door it felt like being at a relative’s house for vacation. Chris met us at the door and gave us a quick tour and was very pleasant, telling us about the area and letting us know to contact him if we needed anything. Room: Upon entering the Saunders Suite it was just like described with the smell of bath salts in the air. It was very clean and perfectly decorated to give you that lovely cottage feel. The room included a Jacuzzi tub and very comfortable bed that was triple sheeted with soft linens, much better quality than you usually receive at a hotel. There was a note from Chris and Lisa telling us how glad they were to have us and chocolate kisses on the pillow. Amenities: They have a hot coffee and tea station as well as a complimentary soda, and bottle water and a very nice cake available if you need a quick sugar snack. They also have a complimentary DVD station (with current titles) on both floors if you feel the need for a quick movie while relaxing from a day of shopping. Breakfast: What can I say about the breakfast other than it was fantastic. They offer you three options for breakfast dinning. The first option being in room dining, the second option being downstairs in the dinning area and the third being outside on the veranda weather permitting. On the first day we had a puff pastry stuffed with egg, cheese, and seasoned turkey, along with coffee, and orange juice. It was to die for. Overall: I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in an environment that feels like your home away from home. Chris and Lisa are perfect host who truly love what they do.

Mount Victoria was everything I dreamed of for a romantic stay for our anniversary. My husband planned the trip as a surprise for me and it was awesome! We frequent Eureka Springs, and cannot believe we did not know about this fabulous find! We have, obviously, been asking the wrong questions. We should have asked, "Where is the BEST place to stay in Eureka Springs?"; "Who makes the BEST breakfast in Eureka Springs?"; or "Where can we feel PAMPERED, yet AT HOME?"...! My husband and I decided we were going to escape from the normal “craziness” of Thanksgiving by taking a trip to Eureka Spring. We were very fortunate to find a bed and breakfast that offered a Thanksgiving dinner package. We booked the room for 4 nights. I must say the house and the bedrooms are fabulously decorated. We enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool tub which was deep and comfortable. Breakfast was out of this world. During our stay we had many opportunities to visit with Lisa and Chris...and felt saddened when we had to leave. During our four day stay we felt right at home as if we were family. We'll be back. This B&B leaves nothing to be desired. Chris & Lisa hit the nail on the head with each detail. We were amazed from the first impression of the outside decor to the amazing attention to detail in our room. The added touches available with chocolate dipped strawberries and champange were well worth the $$. This B&B touched every sense, we have soft music, sweet scents and great company. The breakfast option to be delivered to your room was an extra add of romance for us. The room was filled with amazing aroma, followed by beautiful food display and the tickling of our taste buds with very bite. The quality of food was the best I have ever had at a B&B. This house may be really old and quaint but you could eat off the floor it is so clean, as well as very comfortable. Chris and Lisa welcome you like family into their home and interact with guests as much or as little as you encourage. We stayed one night and came back three nights later to stay in a different room which offered a nice variety, so you might surmise we liked it. The location is great, the food is exceptional, the beds excellent, and you get to meet great folks at a B&B like this whose homey decor, afternoon snacks, and friendly atmosphere promotes sitting around the common areas enjoying your fellow guests if you choose since folks who generally stay at a B&B are usually outgoing. Either choice makes for a memorable stay. Mount Victoria was recommended at the top of a list of B&B's by a fellow insurance agent in nearby Berryville and was a great choice. I have a lot to say about Mount Victoria! My husband and I booked at the Mount Victoria based on the reviews and awards - we now know why Lisa and Chris have so rightly earned them all! Upon arriving we were blown away by the beauty of the Inn and grounds. We were greeted with smiling faces and genuinely warm conversation - we felt at home immediately. Lisa has done an amazing job decorating the Inn - the style is modern with her own traditional twist - all the extra touches were greatly admired during our stay. Our suite - the Mazaret - definitely did not disappoint - it was beautifully decorated with a comfortable elegance. The charming claw foot tub provided the perfect relaxing, soaking bath and my husband enjoyed the convenience of a shower as well. We both enjoyed the private veranda outside our suite. The breakfast was the best we have ever had - Chris, you have REAL talent!! To wrap it up - we stay at many B&B's across the country - this was THE BEST B&B WE'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! The outside of the house smells old but it was well maintained & clean. The innkeepers was friendly but not overly. Refreshments were readily available upon our arrival. The floors were woods so they were a bit noisy. The room was extremely large but the shower didn't have its own room which was odd. But they kept with the original style of the house. The clawfoot tub with wraparound shower & separate water closet was quite different than I'm used to. The groumet breakfast was fantastic & was beyond my expectations.

My husband and I spent our first anniversary at Mt. Victoria...it was a perfect, relaxing, rejuvenating weekend. Chris and Lisa were full of great suggestions as to dining and shopping and all-around activities. It was our first trip to Eureka Springs and our first trip to Mt. Victoria...and it was such a great trip! Chris' breakfasts were wonderful every day, and we went back for more and more of Lisa's cake! The rooms were so nicely decorated, and spacious. We stayed at Mount Victoria end of Sept. 2008. Chris and Lisa were so nice! Our room was beautiful, lots of little touches. We had our own entrance/exit, which was perfect! The breakfast was wonderful, shrimp frittata, toast and homemade jam, fresh grapes and peaches with fresh cream. The coffee was wonderful and the cake Lisa leaves was heavenly! They do have 2 cats, Ping and Pong. I loved seeing them, but my other half is allergic, so just keep that in mind :) It's close to walk to anything you would like to do, and Chris and Lisa gave us great advice on what not to miss. I would highly recommend it!

The food was delish and so filling we never ate lunch during our stay! Chris and Lisa are so friendly it made us feel as though we were visiting with old friends. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. If I were restricted to sum up our experience in three words or less, well there you have it. However, since I am not restricted to words, I will continue. I've titled this experience as "Weekend getaway with the Love of My Life". From the very moment we arrived we were greeted by our host. From that moment forward we knew we made the right choice in our first attempt at a B&B. Our host's genuine personality and friendship at our first meeting was breath taking. It has been our only B&B experience in Eureka Springs and our last because we have no need to "compare"! When they say, "Let us know if you need anything", they mean it! We just had the pleasure of spending our second getaway with Lisa and Chris at Mt. Victoria!! My husband and I visited Mount Victoria for the 4th of July and our stay was amazing. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and very peaceful (a welcome retreat after a hectic three weeks). My husband and I stayed at Mount Victoria for our anniversary get-away and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. To start, I was surprised with the anniversary package (fresh flowers, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne) which was lovely. The room was very comfortable and comforting, with antiques and incomparable attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our private balcony, where we had our WONDERFUL breakfast delivered to us one morning, and in the candle-lit dining room where we had such a great breakfast the next morning. We booked with Chris and Lisa after reading all of the remarkable reviews from this site and after seeing their list of awards, but you can never be sure what the actual experience is going to be like. We just got back home yesterday, and I can report that Mount Victoria exceeded are already high expectations without a doubt. Chris and Lisa have done an amazing job of creating a perfect B & B. The atmosphere is homey and relaxed with plenty of privacy if you just want to escape and hide. There's a great balance here between quiet and socializing. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, the coffee and tea bar is always open, there's cold drinks in the mini-fridge, Ping and Pong (cat ambassador's) treat you like family, and of course, the breakfasts are ridiculous... you won't have better anywhere. We wish we were still there and can't wait to get back. The great thing is Chris and Lisa are still making the place better and better... I'm not sure how they can, but they swear they are, so the experience will somehow even better next time we go. We can't wait!

The minute you step out of your car you feel like family around Lisa and Chris! Even their sweet pets greet you on the lawn!! I told Lisa at one point that I wanted to have my massage at her favorite place in town b/c I wanted to have the "whole Lisa experience!" Mount Victoria is very romantic! That being said, I felt very comfortable and at home there. I stayed in the Sanders Suite, and I would recommend it. Chris and Lisa were very gracious, and helped steer us to get restaurants and local attractions. If you are looking for a welcoming home with great hosts, then the Mount Victoria is your place to stay. We choose the Mount Victoria off the internet primarily because of the look of the rooms, and when we arrived we certainly were not disappointed by what we saw in person. Chris and Lisa have updated their home so that it is beautiful yet comfortable with all the amenities you would want. They do make you feel as if you have just gone to visit old friends. FYI-the only reason we didn't give our suite a higher rating was because the thermostat wasn't working correctly in our room and the temperature was difficult to control. Not Chris and Lisa's fault that it choose to go out while we were there but it did affect our comfort at night.

My husband and I spent the weekend at Mount Victoria. Chris and Lisa made us feel just like we were old friends visiting in their home for the weekend. The room (Clayton Suite) was beautiful, and the breakfasts were amazing! Cookies and drinks were available 24/7, along with a huge library of DVD's to watch and books to read. After our wedding in December and a fabulous honeymoon on the slopes in Breckenridge Colorado and then on the beach in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, I didn’t think that Eureka Springs would have anything to offer. Much to my surprise, my thoughtful husband booked the Mount Victoria Bed and Breakfast for our first Valentine’s together. Nestled in the quaint town of Eureka Springs is this heartwarming get away. The Mount Victoria was our first B&B. To our delight it was outstanding in every aspect. Champagne, delicious chocolate dipped strawberries, Jacuzzi tub, romantic rooms, relaxing atmosphere, need I say more. Lisa and Chris, the innkeepers, know how to take care of their guests, down to every detail. We are looking forward to our next stay. PS. The breakfast is fabulous!!

This outstanding B & B was given to us as a Christmas gift, which was redeemed Valentine's Day weekend it was perfect from the moment it began. We have been to Eureka Springs only one other time, what a beautiful place it reminded me of a movie "Somewhere In Time" the heart and soul and attention to details were displayed everywhere you turned. I truly felt like I have been spoiled in every sense of the word, from the chocolate dipped strawberry's to the out of this world 5 star breakfast cooked by Chris and served by Lisa. The suite we were in was The Mazaret Room it was so romantic and all it's charm kept us sleeping in late and coming home early!!!! I will remember and cherish the time spent there for ever. The Innkeeper's Chris & Lisa were so personable and it seemed like you had know them for years so comfortable and pleasant to talk with very knowledgeable and helpful. Charles and I celebrated our two year anniversary and Valentine's Day and I couldn't have asked for a better time. The room (Jackson Suite) was beautiful and the breakfasts were absolutely awesome. We had our wedding at Mount Victoria and it was perfect!!!! Lisa and Chris payed attention to every detail. Lisa even let us use her grandmother's china becasue it matched perfectly with our colors. We would not have wanted our wedding anywhere else. The room was terrific and the breakfast the next morning was fabulous!!!! Even the cookies they put out for the guests to munch on were wonderful. Lisa and Chris are extrodinary people and there hospitality was over the top. We will be back!

What keeps us coming back is the warmth and friendliness of the owners,Chris and Lisa; the romantic and beautiful decor of the historical house; the wonderful breakfast each morning; and the great location. We had a wonderful time for our staff retreat. The inn was clean and cozy. The food was fabulous - you must try the chocolate cheesecake cookies :)& don't skip out on breakfast (you'll be missing out)! Chris & Lisa were extremely hospitable and kind. We'll be back soon!

Chris and Lisa, Mount Victoria was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend getaway. Your hospitality and easy-going manner helped my husband and myself feel at home in Eureka Springs. My husband surprised me with a quick one night getaway at the Mount Victoria, and it couldn't have been more lovely. Chris and Lisa were wonderful to let us check in early and after an afternoon of shopping is was a pleasure to come back and enjoy peace and solitude on the porch swing. They also gave us a recommendation of an awesome Italian restaurant just down the street to where we were able to walk to dinner. Our room was spacious and cozy and perfect in every way. Breakfast was wonderful and creative. We couldn't have ask for a more relaxful night or more gracious hosts than Chris and Lisa. We will definitely return to the Mount Victoria, only next time, for more than one night.

As Lisa and Chris know, they were my first choice and as the saying goes..ya snooze, ya lose! HOWEVER, it was meant to be that we wound up at Mount Victoria. It was better then we had hoped. The only regret was that we couldn't stay longer...but we will the next time for sure! The hospitality and graciousness started as soon as we pulled up and continued right through. The house was beautiful AND cozy, everything so tastelfully done. And speaking of great taste...the food was just incredible in taste and presentation. What a beautiful place! It was hard to leave after just one night, but Chris and Lisa helped us to make the most of our short stay with their great recommendations. We had our delicious breakfast served on our veranda. There was coffee, drinks, and fresh baked cookies available all day. It was the perfect place to stay!

Clearly, this is the most perfect place to stay in Eureka Springs. My mom,mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her mom stayed two nights at the B&B. It was awesome. Chris and Lisa "Rock"! The food is Amazing, and all of the details. From the yummy cookies waiting for us to the Chocolates on our pillows, to the mouth watering Steaks and homemade bread. Lisa is so fun to visit with, and so accomodating. It was wonderful, and I can only hope I get to visit again next summer. Oh, and it is extremely clean too!!!

My husband and I needed a one night stay in Eureka for a special event in town. Chris and Lisa were able to accomidate our request where most B&B's wouldn't. The house was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We felt so comfortable to lounge on the porch and in our room. We walked to the Cresent for massages and to Ermilio's for dinner.
