My husband surprised me last June 2006 with a romantic weekend at Chretien Point Plantation for our 15th anniversary. I had been sick and under a lot of stress and this was one of the most peaceful and relaxing trips I have ever been on. The Host was there to see to our every need and we have been to almost every plantation in LA and MS and although we have stayed at more elegant homes, I would rate this a 10 for feeling so at home and peaceful. You felt free to move throughout the house and not be afraid to move wrong, even with the priceless items around you. Cleanliness and hospitality were awesome. It is like going back in time and the stress level melted. Walking the grounds and sitting on the balcony rocking in a chair while drinking the best coffee I have ever tasted was heavenly. The rooms were so charming and spotless with anything you needed at your asking was priceless and I am talking about little things that anywhere else we would have been charged extra money, they provided and seemed to really want to please you and make you comfortable. I promise you will not be disappointed!
