Our first experience with a bed and breakfast was for our 20th wedding anniversary ... the Victorian Veranda could not have been more perfect. The hosts were gracious, the rooms were beautiful and the food was incredible.

Beautiful decor to the eyes. Lovely seasonal music playing to the ears. Good smells to the nose. Delicious food to the taste. Relaxing whirlpool tubs and comfortable beds to the body. Friendly and fun hosts. Good breakfast conversation with good guests.

Karen and Galen are two of the nicest people we have ever met. They will go out of their way to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable experience. My wife and I have been to the Victorian Veranda on four different occasions and everytime we think about trying somewhere else, we start looking and can't find anyplace that offers what the Forney's have. The Victorian Veranda is well worth the hour drive from St. Louis.

My friends and I went to the Victorian Veranda B&B for an overnight get away from St.Louis & to exchange out Xmas gifts. What a treat pulling up to such a charming B&B..the wrap around porch with the gazebo and huge deck on the side , the swing hanging on the front porch- just so inviting. Once you walk in, you are welcomed with open arms and feel so pampered. The innkeepers are wonderful, fun loving, the breakfast was to die for-if you left hungry it was your own fault, the lovely aroma's you smell when you walk in the front door, the brownies waiting for us with hot tea and cocoa on a cold/windy day was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful filled with gorgeous antique pieces, warm and decorated beautifully. We were just in awe of the detail in the wood work, the charm and for being a 118 yrs old, it was in terrific shape, solid- we all thoroughly enjoyed being there and didn't want to leave. Will definately return with friends and even bring our spouses back for some pampering as well.

We chose the Victorian Veranda for our honeymoon and enjoyed every single relaxing minute of it. Every stay there is wonderful and keeps you coming back. The food is delicious! I'm hooked on her raspberry tea now. Karen really made us, as newlyweds feel special but she finds a way to do that for everyone because it's the sweet caring person she is. Whether you're celebrating a romantic anniversary, a much needed vacation, traveling on business or just passing through town and need somewhere to rest you will find their home full of charm and amenities you will appreciate.
