A group of 7 couples stayed stay 2 nights and reserved it for the Murder Mystery. Not one complaint from anyone. It was the best time. The inn keeper goes over and beyond to accomodate, the house is superb, the most restful nights sleep I've had in awhile it's so cozy and comfortable, the breakfasts are very filling. Well rounded with main dish, side item, and fresh fruit. The dinner included with the Murder Mystery was very nice, a 5 course meal. I can't say enough positives, you would never regret your stay at Maple Hill Manor. Way to go Todd & Tyler. Oh and can't forget the Alpaca & Llamas, alot to look at.

Innkeepers and hosts Todd & Tyler have done an outstanding job of retaining the character and tradition of this well appointed and comfortable home. Upon entering Maple Hill Manor you are welcomed by the warmth of multiple fireplaces and courteous service. I was immediately shown to my room and given a brief overview of the experience at this Bed & Breakfast. The room was well decorated and comfortable with high ceilings and large windows looking onto the Alpaca grazing pastures as well as a quaint garden. Innkeepers leave a selection of desserts and snacks out for guests who wake in the night and breakfast was a luxury which included well a well planned menu and was finished with strawberry French toast. This was the second time I had visited the B&B. My family participated in a Murder Mystery Dinner in October 2008 and had an absolute wonderful time. Because I had told others about this place they wanted to go. October 2009 we decided to do the ghost retreat on Halloween weekend. It was even better than the murder mystery. Maple Hill Manor is a beautiful estate. It's like stepping back in time to a bygone era. My wife felt like she was Scarlett O’Hara and transported back to Tara in Gone with the Wind. Have stayed at numerous Bed and Breakfast Inns in North America, some very pricey, and this was by far the best. The Innkeepers themselves may be the nicest part of all, very accommodating, helpful, open, available, and interesting, with not a shred of neurosis or idle blab to inflict on their initially exhausted patrons. They are simply great, making it very natural and enjoyable to relax and recuperate at their inn. One of them, Tyler, is also an excellent cook, making the most extraordinary breakfasts my wife and I have ever had, and is almost intuitively responsive to one's personal tastes. Their side-line is a llama and alpaca farm, occupying various paddocks located elsewhere on the grounds. These are gentle, fascinating and quiet creatures that anyone of any age would enjoy seeing. The house itself is veerryyy comfortable and spacious, with all the amenities and then some, all properly functioning. There are some very nice pets around, as well, which do not ever go into the building, so they can be known casually without danger of allergies. We found interesting books in the room that occupied the lazing about time that we had, and our room was lined with impressive bookcases filled with engaging bits of arcana. Very highly recommended.

My husband and I were so thrilled with this hidden gem in KY. The hospitality was amazing. We were met at the door and immediately invited to a cold drink and freshly baked desserts. Breakfasts were different each day and always included more than enough delightfully delectable items. I am a vegetarian and try to stay away from sugars, all of my requests were accomodated and yet the items were still gourmet and resembled what the rest of the guests were eating. The suite included an outdoor deck, jacuzzi, shower, extra room where hot and cold drinks were provided. The outdoor gardens, where one could sit and relax and listen to music and watch the llamas in the distance were so inviting. This is a romantic, lovely place to stay. I went to KY to pick up my bottles of Maker's Mark Bourbon. I booked my room after checking out the various inns or B&Bs online. This was my first stay at a B&B and I was totally satisfied. After driving up the long driveway, I felt I was arriving at a good friend's home. When I arrived, I was greeted by Todd and the dogs and immediately felt welcomed. I spent two nights. Although I am not one for a big breakfast, I am a foodie. The repast placed before me each morning was delicious. My stay at Maple Hill Manor was enjoyable and most relaxing. The Manor was excellently decorated for the holidays. We arrived late on a Saturday night, but Tyler was very enthusiatic in his welcome. Our room was amazing! A library with dark wood paneling and tons of amazing books to browse (including Gibbon's Rise & Fall of the Roman Empire and Sandburg's Lincoln among others) and lots of great antiques such as old globes and cameras. You must visit to find out about its interesting history. The breakfasts were amazing! And the store with all its Alpaca stuff cannot be resisted. I love how its set away from the road. The warm country feel was very present as soon as we approached the sleeping cat and dog on the porch. Once inside a very cheerful welcome from Tyler. I was looking for a place to take my daughter for her "gotcha day" - the day we celebrate her adoption. I read about Maple Hill Manor and decided to give it a try. What a delight! Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding followed by the perfect romantic getaway. My dream came true thanks to the hospitality of Todd Allen & Tyler Horton 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor. When we arrived there was a bouquet of flowers that matched my bouquet from our wedding. The room was breathtaking privacy, hot tub and white glove clean. I felt like a princess in this beautiful home. Every couple should get a honeymoon in such a romantic and beautiful setting. Todd and Tyler even had dessert waiting with out fridge full of goodies. We never had to leave the room. Every bride knows you don't get to eat much at your own wedding and Todd and Tyler went above and beyond to make sure we had the best weekend ever. The next morning breakfast was unbelievable they had this amazing egg casserole with sausage and several cheeses. They told us all about the home and it's amazing history. I have been to a few bed and breakfast before but none like this the atmosphere was just so uplifting and I will never forget it. Thank you so much Todd and Tyler for making our wedding perfect. My loving husband of 11 years wanted me to experience a wonderful Birthday before he left to go to Iraq. Because I have always loved staying in B&B's, he found this one on BedandBreakfast.com, in a community that has always been close to our hearts. When we arrived, we were greeted by two wonderful people who made our stay a memorable one. The rooms were amazing and the grounds were breathtaking. Breakfast the next morning was even better than I could ever imagine. Todd and Tyler were wonderful hosts and I look forward to the next time I am able to visit their B&B. Next visit will be a "homecoming" weekend getaway with my wonderful husband. Thank you Todd and Tyler for helping make my birthday an enjoyable one.

The website looked intriguing enough to make the reservation. The prices are reasonable. Immediately upon arrival, I knew it was going to be special. The home is grand and spacious, tastefully decorated. Our hosts COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE GENEROUS, lavishing us with delicacies from the kitchen and warm conversations in the dining room. They directed us to special places to see in the area. Our room was absolutely private, quiet, clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable and grand all at the same time. We stayed for two nights and returned the following year, with hopes to return yet again next spring. Truly a 5 star experience.

Todd and Tyler could not have been more gracious. Very knowledgeable about the area. Even printed maps for us. Never forgot our names. Wonderful food and the alpacas were really interesting. We've stayed at many B&B's, this was in our top 3! We will go back! Have already recommended the inn!

I absolutely loved Maple Hill. It has everything: history, comfort, charm, gourmet food, excellent hosts, and even llamas and alpacas! I felt like Scarlett O'Hara wafting down the main staircase, and next time I want to stay in the Lincoln Library. I can't wait to go back.
