The Herlong Mansion Historic Inn and Gardens
The Herlong Mansion began as a small 'Cracker-style' farm house with a detached kitchen built around 1845. The Greek Revival red brick structure was built over the old house in 1910. Adorning the front of the house are four white two story Corinthian columns. Inside the house are twelve foot high ceilings, leaded glass windows, mission oak woodwork, mahogany inlaid floors, tiger oak, and pine. We have 3 suites, 6 rooms and 2 cottages--all with private bathrooms. The interior is decorated in Victorian Antiques and the Arts and Crafts style is evident throughout the first floor woodwork. The Herlong Mansion is an Award Winning property and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We are also a member of Small Elegant Hotels Worldwide.
