The crystal chandeliers that sparkle above the antique furnishings and oriental carpets envelop you as you enter this distinctive Greek Revival Antebellum Home known as the 1842 Inn. Each uniquely decorated room offers a private bath, independently controlled heat and air, Wi-Fi and telephones equipped with voice mail. Cable television are discreetly tucked away in each room's handsome armoire.
While visiting with us, enjoy a cup of fresh coffee or fragrant tea in the parlor, the serene Courtyard Garden or while enjoying the peacefulness of a rocking chair on the Veranda. The Taft State Room hosts "Hospitality Hour" every evening offering light Hors d'Oeuvres and a cash bar. (Spirits are available upon request at any time.) When bedtime arrives you will find a treat of imported chocolates on your fluffy pillow and while you sleep, the staff will shine your shoes and prepare the breakfast of your choice - to be served you (complete with morning newspaper) in your choice of your room, the Courtyard Garden or one of our charming Parlors.
