We enjoyed the privacy, quiet, peaceful, relaxing , setting and the gardens. The porch with rockers/swing with cushions was very nice. The fountain, waterfall and fish pond were enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, so fresh and variety! We liked the DVD/CD library as well as books, magazines and newspapers available, oh and the fridge stocked with all kinds of beverages was really accommodating. This was in a small town setting, but very close and accessible to the city and many attractions! The mountains was majestic and awesome not to mention the climate-NO A/C AND WINDOWS OPEN IN JULY, can you believe it? Please consider a larger TV in the Mary room? The bathroom was somewhat cramped in Mary too. View Reviewer Info

I found the Dry Ridge Inn at the last minute when the Hampton Hotel we usually stay in had only smoking rooms available. Nothing against the Hampton, but this situation caused me to look at alternative lodging and I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again! The Dry Ridge Inn is so pretty, friendly, clean, and PEACEFUL and only a short drive to downtown Asheville. We felt as if we were in "Mayberry" - my 12 year old son was able to walk to the local primary school to use the playground equipment and even played with some local Little Leaguers! We felt safe at all times and it is SO relaxing in Weaverville, I could have stayed on the front porch or hammock for 4 days if my son wasn't so active!
You will really feel "away from it all" at the Dry Ridge -
Howard played "Happy Birthday" on the bagpipes and was very helpful in answering our questions about things to do - Kristen is very sweet and an awesome cook!
We stayed in "the Bess", which was lovely, plenty big enough for 2, and had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I even purchased the shampoo and conditioner they supplied in the bathroom - it's a great product & for sale downstairs.
My son especially enjoyed the free DVDs and drinks - the only thing he may have missed was a pool, but again, there is a lot to do in Asheville for kids/teens, so even if you think of B&B's for couples only, my son was very happy and wants to return in the Fall.
I highly recommend the Dry Ridge Inn for a peaceful, relaxing couple of days in the beautiful mountains of NC. We will definitely return - the only problem is, it's really hard to leave!!
Thanks Howard & Kristen!
