On the spur of the moment, my wife and I planned a romantic week end getaway, and chose the Tattersall. The Tattersall is a great value! Wonderful rooms, great reading room/library with fireplace, breakfast was delicious and substantial. Lori and John are spledid hosts! I'll be going back!

My husband has always been the creative one in our relationship but this year he turned he reigns over to me to plan our anniversary weekend get away. He had always mentioned the Frenchtown area. I looked around the area and absolutely fell in love with the Tattersall’s. When we arrived it was as beautiful as the pics on the website. We were greeted by Lori who was so sweet and accommodating. The room was cozy and we felt right at home. We had a wonderful weekend exploring Frenchtown and New Hope. Best of all my husband LOVED it. The breakfast was exquisite. I wish I could stay there every weekend!!!

Lori and John were such gracious hosts! We had breakfast on the lovely outdoor patio. This is a beautiful location. It is a great home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed the tea and homemade cookies in the afternoon! We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and were glad to have found such a nice place!

Walking into someones home feels a bit awkward; that is unless you walk into the Tattersall! We were greeted by John at the doorway. He made us feel welcomed and like we knew him for years! The inn appears exactly as the website depicts it. The place was spotless from the lawn and gardens to the bathroom. Lori was equally welcoming and charming. We arrived atTattersall in the evening, just as a full moon was rising over the Delaware River. That view set the romantic mood for our stay. It just got better when we entered the elegant mahogany foyer and got a quicktour of the inn. When we got to our room, the Royal Lavender, moonlight was streaming in. A vase of roses and champagne were sitting on the table. How romantic can it get? The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast and learned about the history of Tattersall during the American Revolution and Civil War. We toured nearby antique shops during the day and had our afternoon tea back at Tattersall. Everything was great. The owners, Lori and John were great hosts and made our stay such a pleasant, memorable weekend. Now a moonrise will always be a permanent memory of a special someone.

To propose marriage, my fiancé surprised me with a stay at Tattersall. It was so romantic. It was a story-book proposal. He'd arranged champagne and chocolate for our arrival in our room. Our hosts Lori and John were friendly and so helpful with the arrangements he'd made. They did a lot of special things to make our stay romantic and memorable. Our room had a four poster bed with lace, a cozy fire place and lots of antiques. The inn's ambience and history just lent itself to romance. After our afternoon tea, we took a walk on the premises where my fiancé engraved our initials in a nearby old tree and proposed near the dove house. It was so special. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in a nearby restaurant. There were so many activities nearby and plan to return this summer to see things we missed. We highly recommend Tattersall for its romantic setting and warm hospitality.

Tattersall's Snow Angels Our stay was perfect! We arrived at Tattersall in the middle of a snow storm and were welcomed by a picture-perfect fire in the common room fireplace. From our first moments at Tattersall Inn the ambience was so romantic - a warm fireplace in our room, roses and chocolates, and it was snowing outside! Our room was wonderful. We had a four poster bed with a fireplace. The next morning we enjoyed a tasty breakfast and listened to the history of Tattersall. It has an underground room used for the Underground Railroad. In the kitchen is a huge old fireplace and it was fun to imagine this history of that old fireplace. After breakfast we walked in the snow and made snow angels under our window. It was like being a kid again. Lori and John made our stay one of the most romantic memories. We enjoyed our "Snow Angel" visit to Tattersall and will highly recommend it to our friends.

Tattersall was such a great romantic 'get away'! Our many thanks to Lori and John, for making our stay at Tattersall a very romantic memory. We loved it. It felt like stepping back in time when we walked in the front door. The Inn is an authentic 250 year old inn. Upon our arrival, a dozen red roses and elegant sweets welcomed us to our room. It had a lace canopied bed and fire place. We were thrilled. Except to take a quick tour of Point Pleasant, we stayed in our cozy room the entire time. And best of all, the owners, Lori and John, were so polite; they respected our privacy and stayed out of our room and out of our business and let us have the most romantic getaway weekend we have had in years. They provided everything from wine glasses to delicious snacks. We are looking forward to making a return visit. During our next stay, we plant to learn more of the Inn’s history and visit the many attractions in the area. The carriage ride sounds so exciting. Tattersall Inn is truly a wonderful place to visit with your soulmate.

We visited the area in January, 2007 and couldn't have found a better place to stay. John and Lori were very gracious hosts. From the quiet music playing in the hallways to the wonderful rooms it was a great place to stay. And with New Hope and Lambertville only a stone's throw, I highly recommend the Tattersall as a place to stay.
