We loved our stay at the Shepard House. Be sure to sit on the porch - it is a peaceful spot - many birds will serenade you. The house is spotless. My husband enjoyed hiking in near by Delaware Water Gap.

We had a wonderful experience at The Shepard House. Accomodations are comfortable, romantic and affordable. We enjoyed the Forsythia room that has a detached bath and a sitting area with sherry to enjoy. On warm days or nights enjoy the view from rocking chairs on the veranda. Delicious cookies are provided for evening snacking. Innkeepers, Bill and Leslie Nagy are wonderfully hospitable and will assure your stay is everything you hope. We stayed in the Hibiscus room (with an attached bath) for a long weekend in September. The location was close to I-80 and 611 so getting to various places around the Poconos was easy. We liked staying down the road from nice scenic views of the Gap and other southern sections of the Delaware Water Gap park. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. Bill and Leslie were very helpful in giving recommendations and directions to area attractions.

Shepard House was a delight. The rooms are lovely; I loved our bonus little sitting room! Leslie creates amazing breakfasts, and with the snow during our stay, the all-day supply of hot chocolate, tea, coffee and warm muffins was definitely appreciated! Our only disappointment was not being able to enjoy the amazing wrap-around porch - the snow kept us close to the hot chocolate!

Out of the two dozen or so B&B's we have tried the Shepard House is tops! Excellent physical accomodations. Peaceful, quiet atmosphere and outstanding breakfasts!

Hi I just came back from the Shepard House a stay I will not forget. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Ruth and her husband Wayne were caring and nice. The rooms were cozy and warm and the private baths beautiful. The decor and the cleanliness superb and the food, well lets just say it was delicious. I have not eaten or enjoyed myself as much as I did here and I certainly look forward to returning again real soon.

My fiance and I stayed at the Shepard's house in May 2007. Our stay was wonderful. The inn was very well kept and the innkeeper was a delight. Our room, while a little small, had a private bath and everything you would need for your stay, including goodies and snacks. There were menu's for all of the local restaurants, games, books and even a variety of things for sale in the den. Breakfast was wonderful - we enjoyed it outside on the porch, along with the other guests. The innkeeper gave us very helpful information for our mountain biking and canoing experience! We had a wonderful time.
