My wife and I came her to "get away" for a few days and had a great stay. The Innkeeper was extremely helpful and friendly. Ann knew exactly where to direct us for dining and for sightseeing and shopping in Amish Country. The Inn itself was delightful and the morning breakfasts were superb. I'd recommend this Inn to anyone who want so to enjoy a nice leisurely time both close in to Lancaster and close to the rest of the Amish Country sights. PS I used the spa services, too, and they were wonderful.

We were at King's Cottage in July. The place is beautiful, the innkeepers were helpful and interesting, and the breakfasts were simply amazing. We hope to be back!

We just completed our 8th stay at the Kings Cottage B & B in Lancaster and look forward to future visits. The facility is excellent, the afternoon snacks and conversations with the other guests make your days and the breakfasts are always different, very health concious and tailored to your tastes. Most of all, Ann, Janis and their staff treat you like loved ones. They do everything for you from suggesting activities, attractions, restaurants, etc. then make the reservations for you often at a discounted cost. They are so well known in the Lancaster area, that a mention of their name gives you added attention. They are one of the most centrally located inns in Lancaster which makes it very easy to totally maximize your stay in the area. Our friends who were there for the first time raved about their experience. The crowning glory was that they had to leave early Saturday morning for a train. As they were leaving the Kings Cottage a bag with hot coffee in travel mugs and a selection of warm muffins was sitting outside their door for them. We travel extensively and no one treats us as well as Ann, Janis and staff and you too will receive the same value. Visit them the next time you are in Lancaster.

We stumbled upon Kings Cottage and have been back several times since. It's location is ideal (about a 2 hour drive from NYC area), and the rooms and grounds are beautiful. We try to stay in a different room each time as each is unique and special. The breakfasts are incredible, good enough to get even my sleepy boyfriend out of bed early. We stay at bed and breakfasts and hotels regularly, and I cannot say enough about Ann and Janis. They help us plan wonderful activities, recommend the perfect dining choices and include step by step directions anywhere we go. We enthusiastically recommend Kings Cottage to all!!

Stayed here for my 25th anniversary. My husband is a chef and he raved about the breakfast delivered to our room in a basket. Room comfortable and they helped us with special diner arrangements. Very special and memorable.

A full gourmet breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30 each morn. Special dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan, diabetic, low fat, etc.) can be accomodated with advance notice.Relax in the Sun Room to read a book, play the Clavinova Piano or talk with other guests. You'll find afternoon refreshments here between 4-6PM. Everyone's favorite room!
Relax outside at one of our patio tables around the koi pond and garden listening to the sounds of water as it falls into the lily pond.An exotic escape for two, the Carriage House is located on the grounds behind the main inn. It features a fireplace, Jacuzzi for 2, king-sized sleigh bed, HDTV w/DVD, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It is the hottest room in town!
The living room is a great place to peruse menus, chat with guests or enjoy the fireplace in the winter with a cup of hot chocolate or spiced cider! Innkeepers will make reservations, assist with special pricing on tickets to shows, give you written directions to restaurants & assist with daily itineraries to help you get the most out of your stay in Lancaster!.The Majestic Chambre, our largest and most elegant room with marble faced gas fireplace, antique dining table for 2,(yes you can have breakfast in your room!) fainting sofa, HDTV, and ensuite luxury bath w/ double wide whirlpool tub. A first floor room!
The Queen room is elegant in antique gold and blue tones. A King size brass bed, large antique rosewood armoire,all seasons electric corner fireplace (with remote), HDTV, drop leaf secretary, upholstered settee & chair complete the room. The ensuite bath has an antique claw foot tub w/shower and pedestal sink.The Princess room is a world all its own featuring a wonderful private balcony and ensuite bathroom with whirlpool tub!
The Princess Room's balcony is a favorite of guests! A great place to enjoy wine on balmy evenings or a cup of coffee early in the morn.Duchess Room: Sophisticated in ivory gold & black tones. This light filled room with queen bed, corner remote controlled electric fireplace, settee for 2, drop leaf secretary, HDTV and ensuite bath with 6' antique tub w/ shower is very popular with repeat guests!
Princess bathroom. Pamper your self with a luxurious rose petal bath. The essence of the roses leaves your skin silky soft!A view of the King Room's gracious gas fireplace from the king size brass bed. All bedrooms at King's Cottage have working gas or electric fireplaces! Gas fireplace in King room is operational October through April.
The King Room features a king size brass bed, HDTV, a beautiful wood panelled gas fireplace, art deco stained glass window and exclusive use of the original master bath a few steps from the room with 6 foot antique pedestal bath, a separate walk in shower & vanity table and large stained glass window. Bathroom is NOT shared.The Duke Room:Newly redecorated! Updated photo pendng in August: Lose yourself in the thick cushy fiber bed on the new king size bed. A lovely gas mantled fireplace and antique armoire with mother of pearl inlay and beveled mirrors adds ambiance and charm to this room. The king bed can be converted to twin beds with advance notice.
