Our July 2009 stay at Rhythm of the Sea was our first but certainly not our last. This B&B is the perfect spot in Cape May to get away from it all but still be within a short stroll or bike ride to the heart of town. Our stay was during the peak summer season and the area surrounding the inn never seemed crowded. The beach is great and the inn itself was casually luxurious. Robyn and Wolfgang's service and attention to detail were unsurpassed. They are genuinely nice people who go out of their way to please their guests. My wife and I stayed in room #4 with a nice side ocean view. The bed was very comfortable and the Stickley furnishings were of the highest quality. I am absolutely shocked that another reviewer rated every single category as unsatisfactory. Some people are just impossible to please, it really broke my heart to read that review because it's so obvious that the owners put so much effort into ensuring that everyone enjoys their stay. Please ignore that totally unfair review and look at the trend among the dozens of reviews before it, nearly everyone loves this place and for good reason. We live in upstate New York and would gladly make the 5-hour drive again and again to this place. If you're looking for an unpretentious, relaxing, comfortable getway in beautiful surroundings, look no further than this B&B. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and the staff took the time to connect with each guest personally, you really feel valued here. My wife has a serious food allergy and, though it was unexpected, they went totally above and beyond to accommodate her to make sure she had a nice breakfast each day. They even shopped for special ingredients for her. How many places would have done that? Not many! Just about every other guest we spoke with had stayed there half a dozen times, and that says something about the consistent quality of this inn. We're already looking forward to our next stay in the summer of 2010.

This was our first trip to Cape May and we loved Rhythm of the Sea. The breakfasts were amazing! I would be back for those alone...but then add in being right across from the ocean and just a short jaunt to the shops. Robin even accomodated us with an earlier breakfast because we had a reserved ferry time for our return trip. I could not have asked for more hospitality and that's a lot coming from a southern girl. We usually go to Charlestown, SC or Savannah, GA for our Bed and Breakfast trips but Rhythm of the Sea rivaled our favorite B&Bs there! We'll be back!

Room was dark and dingy. Bathroom had a shower stall that was built for midget. TV was so small I needed a telescope to see it from across the room. The bed was very squeaky. Front porch only had seating for six people to relax. Breakfast was only served from 8:30 to 9:30 am, no exceptions. This unfortunately turned us off from returning to Cape May.

We found Rhythm of the Sea not only beautiful, but very comfortable, homey and romantic - everything we were looking for in a relaxing getaway. The rooms, oceanfront views and food were all fabulous. But it was the innkeepers, Wolff and Robyn, who really made the trip special. From the moment we arrived, they were like old friends. They are both fascinating, warm and funny, and the times we spent chatting over coffee or a glass of wine were our most memorable moments of the trip. We only met the manager, Julie, at rthe end of our stay, but she was equally friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back!

This was our first bed and breakfast stay! Rhythm was great - very open, neat and welcoming! The breakfasts were great! Modern upgrades (flat screen TVs and air conditioning in rooms, wireless internet) were welcome to our weekend away! We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!

Neophytes to the Jersey Shore Bed & Breakfast experience, we were initiated when invited to a wedding in Cape May. Considering my husband's propensity for always being able to find something wrong no matter where we go, I was not going into the weekend with great expectations; what a magnificent surprise!!!!!!!! From the moment we walked through the entrance and were greeted by Julie, to the sad farewell to Robyn & "Otie", we were made to feel more welcome than I thought possible. Wolfgang's breakfasts were amazing, the rooms serene, quiet, and comfortable. We are endlessly grateful to have discovered this Cape May gem, and are so anticipating our next visit. The room was wonderful, the hosts were wonderful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I spent a weekend at the bed and breakfast and it was nothing shy of perfect. The hosts were kind and pleasant. My husband and I stayed at the Rhythm of the Sea for our honeymoon weekend. We couldn't have picked a better place. The room was beautiful and having the view of the ocean from bed was spectacular. Robyn, Wolfgang, and Julie were gracious hosts who made us feel like visiting family, not customers. It was truly like spending time with old friends. The breakfasts were the highlight of our dining for the weekend (and sometimes required a nap after eating). We will definitely be planning another stay!

My husband & I stayed at Rhythm of the Sea for our "Babymoon" - one last getaway before our first child was born. It was such a wonderful, relaxing few days! The views are amazing, we had fun playing pool, and the best part of our stay is a tie between the fabulous meals we ate & the wonderful hosts who served them to us. Robyn & Wolf were so friendly & welcoming! And our authentic German dinner was probably the best meal I've ever had! The only downfall to our stay was that we did not book 3 nights. We were able to relax and enjoy our trip because our hosts were so gracious. Julie made us feel like we were at home and meeting Robin was like seeing an old friend. The room was great and the beach was perfect. Use of the bikes and beach stuff was a great perk. Our dinner at The Pier House was great however, if you are looking for a secluded romantic experience I would check other spots. By the way, breakfast was oustanding. We can not wait for another opportunity to spend some time in our new home away from home.

This was our first trip to Cape May and there were so many B & B's to choose from - luckily we chose this one, based on the description on their website. The hosts are friendly but respect your privacy; the owner/chef makes the best French toast I have ever had; and the ambiance of this inn is totally laid back and welcoming.

We stay with Robyn, Wolfe and Julie several times a year because we just can't get enough of Rhythm of the Sea. Always warm, friendly, luxuriously comfortable, and the Wolf's breakfasts are fabulous. Can not say enough wonderful things about Rhythm of the Sea.
