Inn At Buck Hollow Farm
We are an intimate New England country inn. Tucked on 400 spectacular acres just 30 miles from Burlington and 15 from St. Albans, the inn truly is a four-season retreat. Whether you walk our wooded trails, listen to a brook,... more

Brad and Jacquie are fabulous hosts at the Inn of Buck Hollow Farm. We came up from Maryland for a 5 day anniversary trip with our two young sons, 8 years and 16 months. The accommodations are country, eclectic, and comfortable. Our children were made to feel at home and valued as visitors to the inn. The inn has a port-a-crib for infants/toddlers and the Presidential Suite is perfect for a family of four. Brad and Jacquie are very knowledgeable of the area and can provide guidance on entertainment and dining for all ages, interests, and budgets. The food is wonderful, filling, and most importantly fresh! We felt as if we were at home from the moment we arrived. The sunroom is great for lounging, enjoying music, and curling up with a great book. The Inn at Buck Hollow is a great place to stay while exploring all that Vermont has to offer, or simply to stay and relax for a few days without ever leaving the property! The Inn at Buck Hollow Farm has now been added to one of our many yearly traditions! We cannot wait to come back! Thank you! ---The Lopez Family View Reviewer Info

All B&Bs are unique and interesting and The Inn at Buck Hollow is no exception. The Inn was beautifully appointed, the rooms comfortable, immaculate and the antiques and furnishing fit the decor nicely. The Inn has several acres to explore, horses and a Sugar House where they make their own syrup for breakfast.
The breakfasts were fit for a 5 star restaurant, sumptious and filling and served the way Mom would when she wanted to spoil you. Since I had a nut allergy they were careful to plan the menu so there was no nuts anywhere near me.
There was plenty of information about local points of interests, restaurants and shopping.
On the website it clearly mentioned that there were dogs and cats present. I'm used to having animals, so I wasn't bothered by their presence. The animals were obviously used to meeting and greeting strangers, extremely well mannered (even the cats) and happily escorted me as I explored the grounds. They were kept out of the dining and common areas and were not begging for attention, although they were happy to receive it from anyone who cared to pet them.
The Inn is definitely out in the country and for anyone who's not used to silence it could be a bit disconcerting until you get used to it. It is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and will lower the blood pressure.
The only cons were minor -- they were having problems getting the wireless internet at first, however, this was resolved. Also, the television was fairly tiny, however, I didn't come to watch television, so this was a minor problem.
There is no doubt that the next time I wish to stay in Vermont, I would call Brad at The Inn at Buck Hollow Farm without hesitation. View Reviewer Info

A real find! A private, peaceful place where we were able to bring our black labrador retriever and feel at ease with him in the inn and on the spacious property in the country. Our dog enjoyed the owner's two friendly dogs and all the open space on the property! Every morning we were treated to a HUGE, delicious country breakfast (and our dog, a homemade biscuit), then we could sit in the cozy sunroom and enjoy the beautiful snowy scene for a while before heading out to snowshoe on the property or just go for walks. Gizmo, one of the owners' dogs, lead us on some great hikes up the hill on the trail. Smuggler's Notch ski area is nearby so we we were able to try out snowboarding for the first time. And Craftsbury Outdoor Center is a little over an hour's pretty drive from the inn. We went cross-country skiing there. So nice to be able to come back to the inn and get warm by the wood stove in the sunroom! The owners and their staff were so friendly and helpful, we truly felt very welcome here all week. My husband and I have stayed at a lot of "dog-friendly" inns before, but this inn, unlike a lot of others, truly met our every need in terms of value, comfort and fun! Thanks for a wonderful stay! | Innkeeper Response |
One of the downsides of being a "country inn in the country" is satellite internet access, which (like satellite TV) can occasionally become degraded by weather or technical issues. Besides, who needs the internet while on vacation ?
