This was a beautiful, relaxing place that is just far enough away to make it a nice ride. The food was excellent never had better. Gerry was so friendly and made it very comfortable and welcoming we did not want to leave. Highly recommed for a romantic get a way or even a family stay close to great vermont slopes and far enough away from Ct to feel the distance. Thanks we will see you again.

Me and My girlfriend decided to take a trip to Vermont to clear some stress. We chose the Nutmeg Country Inn because of it's service reviews on Google. We were not disappointed. When we got to the B&B after a long 5 hour drive, we were greeted by Garry, the owner. He showed us the premises and explained what was included, then sat us down in the cozy living room and provided hot herbal tea and delicious cookies, freshly baked by the chef (Yes, they were still warm). They were some of the best cookies I ever had. I felt the hours of driving melting away. That night we made a reservation for dinner at the Nutmeg based on it's reviews, and here too we were not disappointed. The steak was cooked just the way we asked. It was top quality beef and the sauce was hand made, in fact everything was hand made, right down to the dinner rolls. Even if you're just in town you should make a reservation here to treat yourself. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail. It'll knock your socks off. That night, we started the fireplace in our room. It was a real wood burning fireplace and it was right by the foot of the bed. we felt so cozy and comfortable that we had one of the best night sleeps ever. We woke up refreshed and energized. We had a traditional breakfast of pancakes coffee and fresh squeezed juice. They also gave us fresh baked muffins, which were unbelievably good. Full and rested, we were very sorry to say goodbye to the Nutmeg Country Inn.
