This was my first B & B experience and it couldn't have been better. My brother just got married this weekend and he and my sister inlaw recommended The Applebutter Inn and it was perfect. We stayed in the Cameo Room on the first floor and it was so pleasant and comfy and had our own entrance to the parking lot. One of the best perks you get in staying here is the amazing breakfast! Fresh picked blueberries and strawberries, fresh orange juice and the best muffins ever! I'm definately coming back.

My friends and I (The Boston Ladies) can't say enough about the Inn and most especially Barbara and Michael. They have become very special to us. Good friends, almost relatives. We have to see them at least once a year. Their hospitality, friendliness, and caring nature make you want to keep coming back and we do. We are addicted. The Inn is perfect in every way. We look forward to seeing them again in September. Breakfast is delicious, cozy, and oh so satisfying. Michael, with his dish towel draped across his shoulder making sure everyone has a fresh cup of coffee and Barbara placing each delicious course in front of us is something I look forward to every year. We love you guys. Signed CC

My Mom and I were on our way from Warren, Vermont to western Massachusetts when we stopped in Woodstock and found the Applebutter Inn. What a gem! Michael and Barb were fantastic! We received a such a warm welcome and immediately felt right at home. This gorgeous place was like paradise...the rooms were charming and the breakfast was unbelievable-homemade blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit and great company. Honestly, when we had to leave the next day, we were sorry that we could not just spend the remainder of our trip in Woodstock. We will definitely be back-look forward to it!

A beautiful historic B&B with the aroma of Rhubard cake in the oven greeted us upon our arrival and we knew we had made the right choice! Our room was adorable and sweet with lush linens on a comfortable queen sized bed. Room and bathroom were impeccably clean and updated. Our candle light breakfasts were the highlight of our stay - the lemon souffle pancakes were to die for! Barbara and Michael were wonderful innkeepers and gave us many suggestions for exploring the local attractions and restaurants. And after having a long day in the Vermont sun it was divine to come back to the inn and have a plate of warm molasses cookies waiting for us. Definitely recommend both the area and this particular inn. We will definitely be back...soon I hope!

This is our 4th visit to this inn and we were delighted to learn it's now a green hotel. Barbara and Michael are excellent hosts who provide lots of information about surrounding attractions. There are many historical sites to visit including the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller home in Woodstock and Hilldene in Manchester. This inn is quiet and secluded but has access to many other places including Dartmouth. The food is superior and the hosts accommodate individual requests. This is a wonderful place to get away and relax in a very comfortable atmosphere.

We have now enjoyed multiple stays here and were once again treated to excellent breakfasts--even while accommodating my desire for vegetarian (having noted it from a previous visit!) --and wonderful cookies at night. Lovely accomodations, of course. Michael and Barbara are warm hosts who offer hospitality that welcomes. Many thanks, and certainly looking forward to future visits.

After months of buziness at work and before the family gathering of Thanksigiving, we took a night to stay at this lovely inn in VT. Michael and Barbara made us feel comfortable from the beginning, upgrading our room because of availability. Both the room and inn were warm and cozy as a fire was kept going in the living room. They pointed us in the right direction for meals and activities in the Woodstock, VT area. The food was amazing! They provided freshly baked cookies with tea in the afternoon. The breakfast was three courses, all homemade including a blueberry muffin, granola/maple yogurt and pancakes. Great stay. I recommend to couples that need a quiet, romantic night away.

Our two night stay at this lovely bed and breakfast in the charming hamlet of Taftsville, was wonderful. Barbara and Michael are excellent innkeepers, welcoming people into their home. We loved our room, Baldwin. It was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was outstanding and the opportunity to visit with fellow travelers at the communal tables while enjoying it was a pleasure. The interior, exterior and gardens of this B&B are warm and welcoming. We look forward to returning.
