We happened on the Greenville Inn unexpectedly, as we just struck out for Moosehead Lake without plans. This was an unexpected pleasure. Our room was small, but that was all we asked for. It was perfectly appointed. The breakfasts were exceptional, and offered opportunity to converse with the other guests. The service was very warm, and responsive, with great recommendations for excursions.

I love this inn. It's walking distance to town and yet feels like a destination in itself. When you walk in and see the rich foyer and mahogony walls in the common room, you know you're in for some elegance. The rooms are incredible. I got a chance to see a number of the rooms and there are tons of cottages and 2 BR suites that are perfect for families - something you don't often see at elegant B&Bs. We had dinner at the inn and the food was so memorable. I can still taste the fabulous fish and the wonderful dessert. Terry and Jeff are really interesting. We so enjoyed meeting them. I highly recommend the Greenville Inn.

I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Greenville Inn. I just loved it. It is elegant yet not pretentious, and welcoming while still sophisticated and distinctive. We had dinner there and the food was fabulous; better than we find anywhere in our city location. We were seated by the window, which was open. Music from the concert in town wafted up the hill to the inn, and we watched the sun set over the lake. My husband and I thought there coldn't be a more wonderful place anywhere in New England. We stayed in the Tower Suite. It has everything you could ever want - a double jacuzzi, fireplace, incredibly comfortable king bed and a sitting area in a loft-like (a few steps up) area with a telescope to see over the lake. The views from this room are just great. I was able to peek into some of the other rooms, and saw a few of the cottages. This inn really offers something for everyone. Great cottages with their own porches set up on a hill with fabulous views of the lake, along with lovely inn rooms too. I give a two-thumbs up review of the Greenville Inn.

My wife and I stayed at one of the their cottages for several nights. We used it as our home base as we enjoyed the noth woods of Maine and the lakes. The Johannemann family was very accomodating. Making our reservation without any recommendations turned out to be a great choice. I would definitely recommend it if you plan to be up that way.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn 3 years ago and we loved the place. The service was great, the chef was very accommodating to our dietary needs and the food was excellent too. The Inn as well as our room was beautiful and clean. The grounds were nice and well manicured. The Inn is situated in a great location. It is walking distance into town. This was a plus. We would definitely return to the Greenville Inn.

The Greenville Inn is an impeccably maintained historic building with cozy rooms and gracious Innkeepers. We were there for 3 nights Feb 07. Room 23 has a fireplace and an antique soaker tub - highly recommended. Breakfasts are delicious and the breakfast room has a wonderful view of the Lake. My family has been in the Inn business since 1889, so I recognize the attributes of a great establishment; The Greenville Inn certainly fits the bill.

I recently stayed at the Greenville Inn and I must say that I have finally found "my inn!" This is the place where you can relax in an elegantly decorated victorian inn while admiring the snow covered mountains and and iced over lake, in the winter of course! As an avid "bed and breakfast-er," I have seen it all and nothing compares to the charm, sophistication, elegance, and hospitality of this beautiful inn. Now that I have become so spoiled by the Greenville Inn, I will have make it my exclusive Maine destination.

My husband and I stayed at the greenville inn this past Sept 2006. We stayed in the one of the cottages. The cottage was very quaint and very comfortable. The owners of the Greenville inn and there staff were very attentative to our needs. The food in the dining room was delicious as was the atmosphere in the dining room and the complete lodge and cabins. We are looking forward to coming back and staying the cottage again this Sept. 2007. My husband has been coming to the Greenville Seaplane Flying for over 20 years and now says he will not stay anywhere else for know one when we go to Greenville except a the Inn. We hope to get up there this winter to do some snowmobiling, we will stay at the Greenville Inn if they are open.

We have been staying at the Greenville Inn for over 15 years and we have never been disappointed. Well, we are always disappointed if we stay during a period when the dining room is closed because we miss their incredible dinners. It is romantic and quiet and a perfect escape from hectic day to day life. The Inn is a presence in town and it makes a lovely statement of gentility and quality. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan with the Army and we chose to spend the last weekend before he left at the Greenville Inn and we hope to spend the first weekend there when he returns. Beautiful memories.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for only one night, but it was a very relaxing and beautiful night. The innkeepers are very friendly and accomodating and the food was second to none. We were able to see a entire family of moose down the road from the inn that night, and this made our entire trip! This was our first trip to Maine, but certainly not our last. Fred and Kimberly
