Great Victorian home. Very helpful Innkeeper, comfy beds. One negative issue: Climbing stairs to 3rd floor -- no elevator.

In looking for an inn to stay at while celebrating my mother's 75th birthday, we were seeking a place filled with history, hospitality and antiques. I consider the Black Swan Inn the perfect find. The setting was gorgeous, the antiques magnificent, and the piece of the past shared by the gracious hostess, helped make our weekend a truly memorable birthday for my mother, as well as my daughters and I. Sheryl made us feel very welcome and comfortable in this stunning inn.

Black Swan Inn is a DIAMOND! Inn Keeper Sheryl could not be any more accommodating! Sheryl is extremely friendly, helpful and understanding. She takes the time out to explain the history of estate and gives great directions as well as options to see and do in NH. Breakfast each day was delicious and the Inn is spectatular! If my boyfriend & I are ever in NH again, we will definately stay at the Black Swan Inn!

The owner actually met us at the entrance to let us in at about 1:30 am! She had gotten out of bed to meet us and show us around then to our rooms.

Swan planters filled with lovely fresh flowers. Sheryl, the owner, very charming - explained the history of the peabody's original owners. The home and carraige house beautifully restored with charming antiques. The staff was lovely, caring, and the experience was unforgetable.
