This was a truly enjoyable place to spend a few days! Our accomodations were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the innkeeper was charming. We had plenty of privacy for our romantic retreat, however we wouldn't hesitate to visit with the entire family. I recommend this Inn to anyone who is looking for a cozy mini-vacation (or an extended stay!) in a welcoming environment.

My hubby and I chose to stay here for a night away from the children last winter. We stayed in a room on the ground floor (can't recall the name of it, maybe room 9?). It was GORGEOUS. The jacuzzi bathtub could have fit my whole family and then some! It was definitely a highlight. The room was clean, beautiful, and the bed sumptious! There was a gas fireplace as well. We got there late because there was a huge storm that night but the key was left out for us. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast made by Jim. He was very friendly, very sweet and a wonderful host. The Christmas decorations were just lovely. We were so thrilled with our stay that we can't wait to go back this year. They also give a military discount, so be sure to ask if you are military like us! I would HIGHLY recommend the Beech Tree Inn to others.

I had never stayed at a B&B before. I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect. I was afraid it was going to be like living in a house with a bunch of strangers. The minute I walked through the door of the Beech Tree Inn my fears were laid to rest. Jim, who is the innkeeper, couldn't have made me feel more welcome. I was meeting family already in Newport, so I made my reservation at the last minute. Jim told me he had a king room with a jacuzzi available. The price was right so I took it. My room was on the third floor which had its own living room, kitchenette and terrace. When I opened the door to my room I was pleasantly surprised to see a beautifully decorated room, a gas fireplace a flat screen tv,a/c and a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom looked brand new with a huge jacuzzi tub and separate shower. You would never know there were other guests in the inn because the rooms were so quiet. Breakfast was great! Usually you get a continental breakfast when your staying at a good hotel. This was a full breakfast. Eggs, omelets, pancakes, french toast. All made to order. There was fruit salad and cake while you waited. From my review you can tell how much I enjoyed my stay. You can't go wrong with the Beech Tree Inn. Very short distance to the marina and mansions. My newly-wed husband and myself enjoyed our 2-nights stay in Beech Tree Inn. We had a large king size bed and a large comfortable jacuzzi which exceeded our expectation. Jim, the owner, is extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable even when we came with unusual requests (we needed a vase for flowers, we asked for some tea when we arrived around 1opm, etc.). The only thing that dissappointed me: although breakfast was good in total, they serve regular sliced bread (I expected to get rolls / bagels / fresh non-industrial bread).

From the first moment we arrived, we were treated by friendly, courteous innkeepers. We immediately felt like family! Our suite was wonderful, and exceeded our expectations. November evening, as was the Jacuzzi. The huge bed was extremely comfortable, and the Breakfast - beyond belief!. Be sure to have the French Toast (I usually don't eat breakfast, but had it both mornings!). Can't say enough about the place; will definitely come back. Betty & Ed V

Newport is a great weekend getaway and this is the perfect place to sleep, shower and relax. Nice rooms and great service. Quiet stay with very good breakfast. I would recommend a short trip to Newport and a stay at the Beach Tree.
