I booked our weekend getaway via bedandbreakfast.com and received a great deal. It made the stay a budget-friendly, cozy, convenient, terrific-service, chance to escape reality! If I could always get the pricing I got through B&B.com then I will absolutely go again and again. The room was small, but made for a cozy love nest, with wall-mounted tv, small fridge, and easy access to the center of town. Mark, our host, gave attentive service and the best townie advice on breakfast - a real gem.

My daughter and I stayed here one night while visiting from RI, what a lovely place and experience! The value was outstanding for the setting alone (I could even see the Alfred Hitchcock tower from my bedroom window, what a cool sight in the dark mist), so we were pleasantly surprised to find bagels, muffins, coffee and juice downstairs in the morning; that's a boon when you're traveling on a budget. Russ and Luciano are genuine hosts who make you feel at home, they're welcoming without being intrusive. I'm looking forward to going back when I can spend more time. The house and yard is darling, cozy and clean, incredible location, great people.

You can't ask for a better location in P-town, just a few steps from the pier, shops, and eateries. And yet, it is down a short lane that quickly delivers you to a quiet, peaceful, and beautifully maintained inn. I have stayed in two rooms --- one upstairs with two large beds and a shared bath (which was vacant most any time I needed it) and another room on the ground floor close to the foyer with a charming side yard green belt view. Both rooms were nicely furnished, clean, and while the second room I stayed in was compactly comfortable, two people would still have room to move around. The staff here is friendly and efficient. Oh, and I didn't mention the great little patio courtyard type setup where a meal outside could occur, and the great little front yard that is shaded by a large tree -- I sat out there for hours each day -- reading, quietly thinking -- occasionally some other guest would stop by and chat for a few minutes. I have not stayed there during the more "lively" times that P-town is also famous for -- and if that is when you plan to go, again -- this location would be perfect for you. If I have saw any drawbacks, it would only be (perhaps) for someone who favors the beach more than the village and pier area -- if you are not much of a walker (I'm in my late 50's) it might be a bit of a hike for you, but bikes are available and very easy to get a cab I imagine. I was content to hang out a lot and walked extensively through surrounding neighborhoods and never got bored in the 4 days I was there. This must be one of the best values for the money in Provincetown. Yes, the upper floor has some rooms and baths where you need to watch your head on the slanted ceiling. (How many of us have an attic guest room in our home where we advise our guest of the same?). But the place has an incredibly cozy and home-like feel to it, too. (P.S. - don't miss taking a shower in the private outdoor enclosure -- you'll think you are at a lodge in Scandanavia).

It was a little hard to find, but after a quick phone call we were able to weave behind store fronts to reveal some amazing houses. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was private, but outside the room, also very clean. Provided internet, free DVDs to watch in the room, and a comfy bed. No breakfast provided.

Every year we spend a week in P.town, but we have never stayed in this wonderful and very cozy little guest house. We loved it. Our room was simple, but extremely clean. Everyday fresh towels, beach towels, water bottle in the mini-refrigeretor. Luciano (the charming Italian houseboy) did even our laundry and folded! (THANK YOU!!!!). On our last day they had a BBQ with open bar and we wer able to invite other two friends for a drink. We will be definitive back.

The Moffett house is a semi-hidden sanctuary and gem ensconced off a small and beautiful alley near the heart of town. With a beautiful front yard and garden, a wonderful view of the pilgrims tower and the charms and history of colonial architecture, this bed and breakfast won me over the minute I stepped foot in it. On top of the continental breakfast, free wireless internet and incredible location, I was most impressed with the diverse mix of guests that populated the inn. It reminded me of the communal funkiness of San Francisco mixed with a European flavor of internationalism. During my stay, we had families, European backpackers, single gay men and Lesbian couples all mixing it up over coffee and breakfast, lounging in the garden and showering out in the back yard cedar shower. How great is that! The Moffett House feels like my hidden secret in P-town but in all fairness I want to share it with all like-minded travelers!

I've stayed at the Moffett House three times and I seem to enjoy it more and more with each visit. The location is ideal, in the very center of town but tucked away in a quiet and beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of Commercial and Bradford Streets. The house is true P-town with lots of New England charm. The rooms I've stayed in have all been very different, but each enjoyable in its own way and every one spotlessly clean and simple yet well appointed. The complimentary bikes for each guest are an amazing bonus. But best of all, it feels just a little bit like the east-coast version of "28 Barbary Lane", with a great mix of people staying in the house every time I've been there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back trip to P-town, a nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.

Staying at the Moffett House is like stepping back to a time when life was simpler and calmer, yet the inn has all the modern amenities you could want. Tucked on a quiet alley between Provincetpwn's two very busy main streets, it's an oasis of 19th Century charm in a busy resort town. The house is of historic significance, once the home of famed Cape Cod artist Ross Moffett, whose work is in the Town Hall and the town's main art museum (PAAM). It is conveniently located in the heart opf town--just a few minutes' walk from where the high speed ferry from Boston docks. The inn's staff is warm and helpful, without being too in your face. Luciano adds Old World charm, Kimberly quiet attentiveness, and the inn's owner, Russ, is a handsome bundle of energy who can tell you anything you want or need to know about town and what it has to offer. prices are very moderate. it is extremely clean and the staff go out of their way to be accomodating. Russ really cares about his guests and about the place. Providing bikes is a great advantage and helps to make this a good bargain. Every room has tv and fridge. The only downside I've found is that the walls of some rooms are rather thin. Location is awesome. Only steps away from the very center of Commercial Street, yet very quiet.

Reservation process was easy, Russ returns calls and emails right away. Great central location. Courtyards are quiet and peaceful while being only steps from the action on Commercial St. House is very well kept. My room was small, simply decorated, a comfortable place to rest, but not for someone who spends a lot of time in their hotel room or needs to impress. Considering all the features, an excellent value!

We loved our stay at the Moffett House. The location is perfect, right in the center of town but on a footpath so it is very quiet. You can walk or bike to everything. Luciano, the houseboy, was funny and very helpful, giving us advice on what to do. Russ, the owner, is attentive to anything you need and has made a lot of improvements since he bought it. The place is very clean, with a nice garden to enjoy your morning coffee. Breakfast is a basic continental style one, with fresh bagels from a local bakery and excellent coffee. The room we had was small, but cute, and the air conditioning meant we were always comfortable. We love the outdoor shower! Bikes are included as part of your room, which saves renting a bike and is very convenient. During our stay they had a barbecue for guests which had lots of food and drinks and really was a lot of fun. We will definitely be back.

This is my second time staying at the Moffett House and I must say...now I know why I came back. From the moment you check in, Russ and his team (Luciano and Kym) make you feel welcome and as part of their "family". Just walking through the house is a treat. They have done so much to the house. All our friends were envious that we had air conditioning and a sweet TV that plays DVD's. The house is also equipped with wireless internet which can be helpful when scouting the area. The house is located right off commercial which was an easy walk to and from the docks where the ferry departs. It's also a hope skip and a jump away from Crown and Anchor and the BoatSlip so getting to the "entertainment" was quick and convenient. While we were there, we had wonderful breakfast pastries and cakes everyday. Russ even hosted a BearWeek Bar-b-q party for the guests and their friends. It was great and my partner and I can't wait to go back. We may even go up during the winter to see the other side of Ptown.

The Moffett House has a very P-town feel. It's location is fabulous--in the middle of everything, but quiet. Lots of amenities, great prices & terrific caring staff. I have stayed here 5 times in the last 1 1/2 years.The only downside-- small rooms, but there is a front room with a computer for everyone, kitchen use & 3 outside seating areas, so who cares about the rooms?

We've been visiting Ptown for 10 years. The first 5 years we tried different B&B's looking for the right one. 5 years ago we found it in the Moffett House. It's perfectly located in the middle of town, comfortable & homey without being stuffy. The price is right and the bikes that are included in the price are perfect for us since we always get around by bike and ride the bike path in the National Seashore. The best part is the friendly staff. It's great to see the improvements each year. Russ really care's about the place.

If you are looking for a centrally located bed and breakfast with a wonderful owner and house boy in Provincetown, then look no further! The rates are just incredible by Provincetown standards. The biggest drawback is that most rooms do not have their own private bath, and if you are one who seeks luxury accomodations, then this is not the place for you. The flip side? You are probably not the guests the owner, house boy, or residents want anyway! I have stayed here four times, two each in the summer and autumn, and each time it has felt like coming home.
