Pictures are misleading-rooms are small, unsafe, very steep ladder to loft-only surface cleaning done-staff rude and opinionated unless you agree with them, do not like children unless they are seen and not heard. Location the best. Easy to get to ocean & children's beach-water dirty

Innkeeper Response
We regret this guest did not enjoy their stay with us in our Swan House guest room with loft, which is lovely. The photographs of our guest rooms are not misleading. We do welcome and love children over age 5, but encouraging the use of the bed as a trampoline from bed to floor, with guests below, is not acceptable. We prefer not to have the TV on during our breakfast service, out of consideration to other guests, preferring soft music and conversation - the two do not mix, but we probably could have handled this better. We gave these folks a $40 dinner voucher hoping to show our good will for any disappointment on their part.

After trying a number of different Nantucket inns over the years, we have discovered the Seven Sea Street Inn and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. For the last twelve years we have stayed a full week for both the Daffodil Festival in April and the Christmas Stroll Festival in December, reserving our suite upon checkout for our next stay. The Innkeepers Matt & Mary Parker and the warms and friendly staff are always so welcoming, but perhaps our favorite host is Puddy, the Inn cat, who makes a special effort to make you feel at home upon your arrival. That's what makes the Inn so special - for us it's almost like coming home. The accommodations are always immaculate, the breakfasts are healthy a delicious and the location cannot be beat. We walk to the beach, restaurants, etc. and enjoy the wonderful sites and unique flavor of the island. But the personal hospitality is what keeps us coming back and we have highly recommended this inn as the best on Nantucket to our family and friends. C. Wiegand

We traveled to Nantucket with two other couples for a weekend getaway and could not have been more impressed with the friendly service and outstanding accommodations. The oak post and beam inn fits perfectly with the historic feel of the Island and my wife was thrilled with our canopy bed. All of us felt so comfortable and relaxed from the minute we checked in. I highly recommend the Seven Sea Street Inn.
