Husband and I stayed there for one night on our way to New Hampshire. Enjoyed our time and our huge room with fireplace, jacuzzi and king bed! We stayed down the drive at the Birches lodging, which is the Gangemi's sons home. He was great and a good cook. Wished we could have stayed longer, as it was a great place to hike around. Would be really nice for a family in the summer since they have a pond for swimming with loads of floats, boats, and even a beach area that kids would love. Nothing but lots of trees surrounding the farm and you are away from it all! The Crawfords

My wife and I had a lovely time staying with Dan, his two kids, and their dog Hazel May. This B&B is located a few miles outside of Williamstown in a very hilly, forested setting. The family was very friendly and helpful in letting us know about things to do in the area. There is a stream fed pond on the 53 acre property(for swimming and fishing in the summer). Dan raises chickens so we had fresh eggs for breakfast one morning, along with grilled pineapple and croissants. We highly recommend this B&B. John and Sandy

I have been coming to Steep Acres for several years. The hosts and property never fail to provide a blissful, fun, serene experience. The B&B is perched on her beautiful hill that slopes into a freshwater gurgling pond. The acreage is is filled with eye-popping birds and wildlife. The B&B is a quaint old growth home with a warm hearth and a splendid party New England decor. You could warm by the fireplace or sit on the glass-enclosed porch and watch wild turkeys scatter as the host's Labrador retrievers scamper after the foul. But what makes this property unique to any other that I've stayed at are the hosts Mary and Marvin. They are welcoming, quick to smile, knowledgeable, darn smart, interesting and ridiculously kind people. I sometimes fantasize that they are my parents! (Sorry mom!) I am almost hesitant to leave this review because of my selfish intentions of keeping the Steep Acres secret all to myself. But I have given in to my selfish impulses to write this review and share it with whomever will listen. Have fun and save some wild turkey for me!

I have now stayed here three times. The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a delight. The view from the top of the hill is inspiring, and the deer at dusk are enjoyable to watch. Because I have a child at Williams College, I especially appreciate the easy drive to campus -- about 2 miles.
