Blenheim Lodge sits in the heart of the Lake District National Park and BOASTS STUNNING LAKE AND FELL VIEWS. Built in 1868 as a former gentleman’s residence, OUR B&B SITS AT THE END OF A RESIDENTIAL CUL-DE-SAC AND IS SITUATED JUST 5 MINUTES WALK FROM BOWNESS TOWN CENTRE AND LAKE WINDERMERE - a quiet retreat tucked away from noisy main road traffic, crowds, and late night revellers, and offering the best of both worlds with peaceful B&B accommodation combined with stunning views, only a hop, skip and jump from the amenities and attractions of pretty Bowness-on-Windermere. We use quality beds, all bespoke and mainly with deep and comfortable pocket sprung mattresses, topped with plump pillows and Norwegian duvets to promote a good night's rest. Nestled quietly into a fell, Blenheim Lodge adjoins acres of National Trust woods and fields which open onto THE DALES WAY WALK AND 4 VIEWPOINTS. Our Bed and Breakfast is the FIRST GUEST HOUSE OFF THE DALESWAY IN BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE, being a mere minute's stroll from this popular footpath. We can arrange guides for walking breaks around the Lakes. Blenheim Lodge offers FREE LOCAL FISHING PERMITS and we can help arrange ghillies for guests if tuition and guiding are required. We have outside taps for walkers and anglers who many wish to clean their boots, fish and fishing tackle! Blenheim Lodge also offers FREE MEMBERSHIP OF A PRIVATE LOCAL COUNTRY CLUB, with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, steam room, table tennis, squash and badminton courts, and massage and beauty treatments. We serve quality local HEARTY BUTCHER-MADE SAUSAGE AND BACON. A local dairy delivers fresh milk and eggs daily. BLENHEIM LODGE HAS A PRIVATE ON-SITE CAR PARK FOR GUESTS TO USE. We recently spent 3 glorious nights enjoying Janz and Robert's wonderful hospitality. From the moment we were met at the door and greeted by name and a welcoming pot of tea and / or coffee, till we left with best wishes ringing in our ears, we enjoyed wonderful breakfasts with great personal service, a very comfortable lounge with great Lake views (The sunsets were stunning) and hosts who were so very helpful in helping us make the most of our short time with them in this beautiful part of the UK. We very much appreciated the fine attention to detail in our room's authentic French furnishings and ambiance, and the calming view across the woods that we were afforded. We would recommend you explore your room options when booking, for choice of fine authentic furnishings.

We stayed at Blenheim Lodge for a week. Most of the week we stayed in the Blue Room, a very comfotable room with a view of the lake. Robert and Janz were excellent hosts and very helpful and friendly. They served an excellent breakfast day by day. We were fortunate enough to spend our last night in the Langdale Room, with a four poster bed, giving us a view through the bay window overlooking the bay. The shops were about 5 minutes away with a choice of a more flat route or a steepish hill. We spent most of our week exploring the area by foot, finding it easy to get to the start of our walks by foot or boat. Definitely a place we would consider using again. This time we didn't have time to make use of the offer of the Swimming Pool etc., but it was good to know that was available if wanted.

1 word amazing!! I surprised my girlfriend with a night in the lakes. Upon arrival we had a very warm welcome by Janz the hostess and she surprised us with an upgrade of rooms! We saw both rooms and both were beautiful and cosy. A few reasons why I choose Blenheim Lodge: -Room: Antique 4 poster bed and the most stunning panorama view over WIndermere + the mattresses are out of this world! SO COMFY! + the room was very clean and tidy. -Location: NOT on the main road, so NO traffic noise and very peaceful, and only a 5 minute (if that) to the main road with shops and many restaurants to choose from. The walk is up a hill, otherwise there wouldn't be a stunning view either! But nothing to steep and its only a few minutes. -Style: The rooms have been decorated in a style that benefits the age of the 19th century home, bit of a time travel, There is lots of antique furniture, yet the bathrooms are modern and very clean -Food: Breakfast was scrummy! Fresh and local and if not enough you can always get more! All in all a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend to anybody looking for the above, I hope to stay again!....

My husband and i stayed in the Coniston room at Blenheim Lodge. It was beautiful, well looked after and the views of Windemere were to die for. On arrival we were greated pleasantly and asked if we would like a cup of Tea or coffee, which we enjoyed in the sitting room again with fantastic views. Janz informed us of things to do and places to see and even a wonderful view point for a picnic, which we had that evening. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff were always available to see to your requirements. We had a fantastic time and wished we had the time and money to have stayed longer. However, we would recommend Blenheim Lodge to anyone for a fantastic stay. We send best wishes and hope to revisit soon.
