Room 3 Roger C Wood Room - Our smallest room in the house with a slopped ceiling, located on the 3rd floor. Has a jacuzzi tub, fireplace and small closet.
Room 4 Horace E Wood- Located on the 3rd floor. This room features a sky light in the bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.
Room 5 Albert F Wood - Located on the 3rd floor, has a fireplace, TV, Javcuzzi tub, and period amoire.
Room 6 - Florence D Wood Room - The largest room on the 3rd floor, features a sitting room, and a 2 person Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and queen size bed.

The Doctor's Inn is a cute place to stay a little bit off the beaten path. The value was great in the off season, and the room we stayed in (Room 0) was cozy and relatively clean. The bathroom looked a little run down, but usable. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a few minutes drive to a beach, but if you're looking to explore the town of Cape May, this is a great choice. Definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Doctor's Inn this weekend. As always, the room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful antique fireplace warming the space. The breakfast, which was included, was tasty and ample. My husband and I have stayed at this quaint B&B many times and highly recommend it.

It was a pleasure to spend the night in this beautifully restored Victorian mansion. Comfortable beds, opulent décor, delicious breakfast, friendly people! Did I mention the delicious breakfast? I would recommend the Doctor’s Inn to friends and family.

Our bridal suite features a king bed, separate sitting room, vanity w/sink, Jacuzzi tub, built-in-armoire, fireplace, TV refrigerator and a balcony overlooking our lush gardens. This room is named after Elizabeth E. Wood PHD, born on September 24, 1871. A prolific author, she published between 20-30 short stories, books, and novels. She loved to paint, but decided the Bohemian artistic lifestyle was not for her so she turned to writing. A biography of the accomplished woman may be found at the Historical Society of Cape May, there is too much of her story to list here.

The Crawford Suite is a 3-bedroom suite. They share a bathroom with a separate dressing-room/vanity area. The bathroom includes a two-person Jacuzzi tub and steam shower. Each bedroom has its own fireplace and TV. Sitting area in two rooms. Sleeps 6, perfect for families/couples traveling together. This suite is named after a previous owner of the Inn, Dr. Carolyn Crawford a neonatologist. When she purchased it in 1993 the building was in a state of deterioration. Through a significant capital investment and a vision, she revived the grandeur of the Doctor’s Inn. This suite was her residence during her proprietorship.

The only room located on the first floor, this room is ADA accessible and features a fireplace, refrigerator, TV, and large shower. This beautifully appointed room with a queen size bed was the office of the original builder Inn. This room is named after Dr. John Wiley, who was born in Salem, NJ. He graduated from Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, and came here when he bought the medical practice that was two doors down on Main Street. When he built this house in 1854, his medical practice was actually in the space where this room is now located.

Our SMALLEST Room. Features a queen size bed, bureau, and a Jacuzzi tub. The namesake for this room, Roger Cognant Wood Ph.D, Roger received his Masters Degree in Geology at Princeton University, and his Ph.D from Harvard University. Roger invented a special net, which keeps Terrapin turtles from getting caught in lobster traps. Terrapins were an endangered species. As a result of this invention lobsterman found they were now only catching bigger and better lobsters. Thus, the invention has a two-fold positive effect ecologically and economically. Features a queen size bed, period armoire, fireplace, TV, and Jacuzzi tub with skylight. This room is named after Horace Elmer Wood II Ph.D, he graduate from Princeton in 1921, with a doctorate in Geology from Columbia University in 1926. He also attended Washington Square College in NY and from there he went to Newark College, (Rutgers University) where he became a professor of Biology. He joined the Air Force during WW II and taught cadets from France stationed in Alabama. After returning to the area his health began to deteriorate, he retired early, and lived here until his death.

Two room suite with a separate sitting area. This room features a queen size bed, armoire, fireplace, TV, refrigerator and bureau, and a two-person Jacuzzi tub. Bright southern exposure. Florence Dowden Wood PDH received her doctorate in Zoology from Yale. She was the first female graduate student from Yale with a doctorate in Zoology. A visiting professor impressed with Florence introduced her to studying Arachnoids and Lobsters, which became her life’s work. After the death of her husband she lived alone for many years. She was the last original family member to occupy this house.

Great location very near to shore points without the Hubbub. Stone Harbor an easy drive, Breakfast was plentiful and personal attention to dietary restrictions made a world of difference.

Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. I forgot my slippers and walked around in socks the entire weekend and they were clean! Linens felt cleaner than most hotels we have stayed at. This will be a frequent place to stay.

Went for a one night stay with friends to see the Christmas Decorations and do some shopping. The Bed and Breakfast was decorated beautiful. The cookies were great and the breakfast spread had everything! The room was comfortable but could have used extra pillows and a blanket.
