Carriage Corner B&B

3705 E Newport Road , Intercourse, PA 17534 USA (Show map)

About

Carriage Corner B&B is the perfect introduction to the original concept of Bed and Breakfast: affordable lodging, genuine hospitality, delicious breakfasts and immaculate housekeeping. With tasteful handcrafted touches of folk-art, the B&B offers a relaxing country atmosphere; situated in the hub of Lancaster County's beautiful farmland and tourist area. Gordon is willing to share his knowledge and love of the area and assists in planning itineraries. He is also at times able to arrange dinners with Amish friends. Resources on the area are provided in guest rooms as well as in the common room where one can curl up with a steeping cup of tea and read about the Amish lifestyle in front of a gas log stove. Wake up and let the wafting aroma of freshly brewed coffee lure you to our breakfast table. Inn specialties might include Oatmeal Pancakes, fruit bread cream cheese french toast, or a "Lancaster County Omelet", baked oatmeal and muffins.

God's peace at the Corner

Every time my wife and I stay at this B&B, we sense a peaceful environment and a resting spirit. We experience a wonderful sense of God's peace in this house.

Perfect getaway for R&R

The B&B is perfectly located in Intercourse. You could even walk into town. The atmosphere is very calming and charming. Gordon is the perfect host. He gave me a lot of tips on what to do and where to eat. He also knows a lot about the history of this area. I'll definitely stay here again!

Too good to be true

We were pleasantly surprised. A quiet, clean, and heavenly place. Our week-end was quite restful. Our host, Gordon, went all out with those 'scrumptious' breakfast meals. In addition, he provided us with all the information needed to make our stay in Pennsylvania a never-to-be-forgotten one. Our first time, and we will certainly return.

Best B&B Ever!

Gordon continues to provide such an outstanding B&B experience that my wife and I keep coming back every time we visit Lancaster county, which has been about every eighteen months since we first found Carriage Corner at least ten years ago. Highly recommend!!!

I hope that Gordon is able to sell his B and B and I also hope that he doesn't :) He will be missed if he does sell.

Innkeeper Response
Yes, it's true that the B&B is on the market and that we are trusting we'll be able to pass the baton to someone with a similar vision; a couple that will even be able to make the B&B better in this special Village of Lancaster Co.! I'm sharing with our regulars that we have been serving for 24 years and that we feel it's now time to move into a new chapter in our lives (our grandchildren important to us!); but also share it often takes a long time to sell a B&B and that we look forward to seeing them again in 2016! So many mixed feelings on both sides the fence on this one!

Very nice B&B

About the innkeepers

Gordon, with a background in pastoral ministry, has long desired to have a home open to others and enjoys extending hospitality. Gwen is CEO of Friendship Community that serves people with disabilities and thus is removed from the day to day running of the B&B. However, her decorative skills have touched the B&B.

Signature Dish

Carriage Corner Oatmeal Pancakes
One of the frequently asked for recipees is that of our Oatmeal Pancakes which are often served with a compliment of other kinds of Pancakes on Saturday morning. Made with Long Cooking and Oats and Buttermilk and served with Vermont Maple syrup and bacon or local sausage, it's the perfect start for exploration in the Amish Farmland!
