Old Fashioned Waffles: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup flour

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Step 1:

Separate egg whites and yolks in separate bowls. Beat egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff but not dry. Set aside beaten whites.

Step 2:

In a separate bowl beat eggs yolks until thick and creamy. Continue beating while adding milk.

Step 3:

Mix together dry ingredients and add gradually to egg/milk mixture. Beat until smooth

Step 4:

Fold in egg whites and melted butter

Step 5:

Heat waffle irons and add 1/2 cup of batter and cook for 3 minutes or as directed by your waffle iron. Always perfect and fluffy. Enjoy with warm maple syrup, fresh fruit and freshly whipped cream.
