Cheese Straws

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Extra sharp Cheddar
  • 1/2 lb Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper
  • 2 cups Flour
  • dash Salt

  1. Grate cheese. Cream with softened butter first usinf a fork, then mixer. Gradually add flour, then seasonings.
  2. Shape into straws or puffs.
  3. Bake 8-10 min. at 425 degrees for straws (6 min. for puffs). Sprinkle with salt while warm. Cool and store air tight.
