BASIC WINE SORBET: Dessert

Servings: 6

Prep time:10-15 min.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 2/3 cup white sugar

  • 1 1/4-1 1/2 cups White Riesling, Pinot Gris or Chardonnay wine

  • Berries, nectarines, or peaches when serving

Step 1:

Combine water and sugar in small saucepan. Heat slowly over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

Step 2:

Add wine, stir and remove from heat. Cool in refrigerator.

Step 3:

Freeze according to ice cream maker instructions or I put the mixture in a 4 cup measure cup in the freezer and stir frequently until frozen. You can put small amounts into a blender and blend for a smoother sorbet. Put sorbet in an airtight container to keep it for awhile. Just restir if it seperates.

Step 4:

When serving add fruit on the bottom and over the top. Sorbet can be eaten plain. Enjoy
