Super-de-duper Moist Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream

  1. Cream butter, sugar & eggs. Fold in sour cream and pure vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Spoon half of batter into greased 9 inch-round cake pan
  2. Cover with 3/4 of this filling: 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 1/2 t. cinnamon 3/4 c. brown sugar
  3. Spoon remaining batter over cinnamon-nut filling. Top again with remaining cinnamon-nut filling. Bake about 45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  4. This coffeecake is extra delicious warmed with butter!
