Swedish Cream

Servings: 8


  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring

  1. Heat cream, gelatin and sugar together slowly (do not boil). Stir until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and almond flavoring. Pour into one-quart serving bowl and chill. Spoon into sherbet glasses and top with strawberries, raspberries or other fresh fruit.
